Specs:
Note: This 11" wide carpeting is designed for use on 2x4 and 2x6 boards. If you use this on your 2x6 bunk boards, some of the board will be exposed on the underside.
Over time, the carpeting that covers your bunk boards can wear down or even tear apart. This can lead to scratches on your boat's hull. Replacing the carpeting periodically ensures protection for your boat, and it will also prevent your wooden bunk boards from rotting.
To get started, remove the old carpet from your bunk boards, doing your best to remove any old staples and bolts from the boards as well.
Cut the carpet to the appropriate length and lay it down so that the backing is facing up, then place your bunk board on top. Make sure that there's enough extra carpet to wrap around the sides and ends of the board. Then wrap the carpet around one side and staple it in place.
Once you're done with the first side, tightly pull the carpet around the opposite edge of the board and secure it with staples. Loose carpet can easily snag or tear, leaving the wooden board vulnerable to moisture or damage.
Once both sides are securely attached, tuck any extra carpet at the ends in tightly, like you're wrapping a package, and secure the ends to the board with staples.

Resists mold and mildew.I am building two side boards for my bass boat trailer. They attach to the inside of the metal fenders which are tandem axle tear drop configuration. I ordered two rolls of the bunk board carpet shown above and they are exactly what I needed to complete the job. eTrailer.com customer service was excellent and I received the carpet in a few days.
I completed the side boards cutting out 1/2 inch plywood and using galvanized staples and latex carpet glue, I have both completed. I am having a new pair of steel fenders made up and am still waiting for them. (Not from eTrailer.com). I'll try to send some pics when I get everything installed on the trailer.
Thanks.
Thanks for the update and photos!
--Used the product on a resto of a 1967 Glasspar G3 the trailer is also of the same year material covered all the bunks and is really good quality the product came quickly and great price
I switched from rollers to bunks for my 17' sailboat. The bunks were 8' pressure treated 2x6s, and each roll covered one bunk with about a foot-and-a-half left over. I've found uses for the remnants since the material is non-abrasive, but very tough.
I used a staple gun to put them on, with a pair of staples every 3". Test it to see what length staples to use. I used the long ones.
Quality carpet as was advertised
I should have ordered the wider carpet which would have made the install easier
Good quality. Should work great and last a long time.
Bunk material was excellent. associated video helpful too. happy to see water not staying on the material after launching boat (drains off quickly). Material was wide enough to overlap my 2x4 bunk boards and plenty wide enough for fender skirts. Experienced delayed shipment but very aware many industries, including my own, are seeing similar results.
Was easy to work with and looks exactly as I wanted it to !
Great carpet. Installed it on new runners. Great service and fast delivery.
product is as advertised. prompt delive ry.
The product is easy to work and quality is what I expected
I expect many years of service
Just what I need and fast delivery
About a year ago I purchased rolls of CE Smith Marine carpet to rebuild the support bunks on my sailboat trailer. This type of carpet is an excellent product. It fit well on six inch wide pressure treated lumber. It was easy to install with contact cement and stainless steel staples. Looked great, and provided an excellent durable surface. But the best aspect of this carpet was that it was designed for marine application and drained extremely fast. This is an excellent product and the service from etrailer was outstanding. If you are going to rebuild the bunks on your trailer, this is the product to use. You will not be disappointed.
Great service great product. Fast deli very.
Exactly what I wanted, unfortunately for me I purchased another product first and threw it away after looking it over . I paid a little more for etrailer but I am very happy with the quality.
Holding up very well. I live for the water and have purchased a river house only accessible by boat. My pontoon gets put on off the trailer alot and carpet has minimal wear for a pontoon boat. Very pleased
Very good quality carpet. Should hold up good.
Great Service! Just one hickup in my order but was solved in no time.
Super quick response.
Shipment was at my door quick. Thanks E-Trailer.
My trailer had been stored outside for several years. The metal, wood and carpet had deteriorated to a point the trailer could no longer be used safely. I searched for parts at all local suppliers but no one had all the parts I needed in one place. I searched the net and discovered etrailer.com. I ordered everything I needed and the parts were delivered 4 days earlier than the promise date. I recommend etrailer.com without hesitation.
Excellent carpet for my bunks
Easy to install-haven't used long enough to review wearability.
This carpet has a decent thickness to cushion the boat hull on the boards. I stapled it on and still holding after towing with and without the boat on it.
Re-bunked and carpeted pontoon trailer. Carpet was of high quality and has worn well for a year now. Would definitely buy again.
Looks like it will be rugged.
Arrived quick
