Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at the CE Smith black rubber crossmember pad for boat trailers. If your boat trailer has crossmembers or support frames that go from side to side, frame rail to frame rail, you can use one or more of these sturdy rubber pads to maximize protection on your boat's hull and keel during loading, transport and unloading. You can even mount them on the frame rails to protect your boat's finish. So, this rubber pad is going to protect the hull or keel of your boat and help absorb that road shock if your boat makes contact with it during trailering.
The mounting holes that you see here are going to allow for simple installation onto the crossmember. And just to give you measurements here of these mounting holes, gonna try to get as close as I can here center to center. And we are looking at 4 3/4 inches center to center, trying to line that up for you a little bit better. Yeah, 4 3/4 inches center to center on those mounting holes. Hardware is not included, so you would have to source that for yourself.
This is made in the USA. Again, just some further measurements. The overall length of this rubber pad, we are sitting right at 10 inches long. And about an inch and a half wide. That's gonna conclude our brief look today.

Used on my boat lift crossmembers , they worked perfectly.
Quality products. Trying to get creative on trailer mods. Hard to find some of these products..etrailer seems to be a great source for those hard to find solutions as well as mainstream products..Sometimes shipments seem to take a bit longer but well worth it. Nicole has helped me on several occasions and service has been great.

Nothing at all wrong with the product problem is with the installer. Didn't have the ability to drill the trailer for proper install so I used 3m 5200 which generally adherer's everything but in this case it didn't. Lost one off the trailer but fortunately I have several extra.

I thought this part was going to be more rubber-y then plastic, didn't realize it was a combination. It just wouldnt fit on my trailer bc my trailer is curved, not straight

I purchased one of these to get a feel for how they may work for padding metal bars on kayak racks. I'm sure they are fine for many uses; however, they are much too hard for my use (they have the feel of hard plastic).
