Roller Bunks

CE Smith's roller bunks convert your boat trailer's guide-ons from bunk board style to roller style. Instead of sliding on and off your trailer's bunk boards, your boat will smoothly roll. This not only simplifies the process of loading and unloading, but it also protects your boat's hull against scratches. Mounted in a rust-resistant galvanized steel channel, the durable rubber rollers absorb road shock during trailering.

The roller bunks are pre-assembled and can be mounted directly to your existing bunk boards (mounting hardware is sold separately). If you want to replace your bunk boards and attach the roller bunks to the front and rear crossmembers of your trailer frame, use a four-pack of swivel mounting brackets (CE10003G-4 - sold separately). These brackets allow you to install the roller bunks at different heights. In addition, the brackets enable the bunks to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes.

Galvanized Steel

Steel parts are galvanized by being hot-dipped in zinc after they have been stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

I ordered the 4' roller bunks and received them the next day
Installed them on wooden bunks. I pulled my boat this morning and can't believe how well they work. I wood install them again if I had another trailer I couldn't get my boat on with carpeted bunks. Thank you Tammie for helping me out.

rollers work great, I'm 85 years old and can now push my boat off the trailer with one hand. I fastened the rollers over top the wooden bunks.

Worked great on my 1967 runabout trailer. Used the original attachment hardware, as it was just the old rollers that were damaged. Arrived quickly and easy to install.

ETRAILER ships FAST! Rollers are on a galvanized frame with holes for mounting. ETRAILER and Smith also offer other mounting options. Rollers appear to be solid yet not so hard to mar fiberglass hulls.

Mounted a pair of these on the rear of a new Harbor Freight trailer and it has made loading and unloading my 10' Bass Raider boat a breeze. I'm a complete novice with this type of thing too, so it's saying a lot that I installed them with little effort or instructions to figure it out. Highly recommend. The product is well worth what it's priced at.

Jerry J.

After a year of using this product on my trailer, I recommend it even more. I unloadload my 10 Bass Raider boat easily with no assistance and with minimum effort thanks to these!

Great company to deal with. Excellent communication. Im a general contractor and appreciate when a company delivers the goods in more ways than one.

Added rollers to my dock to make loading and unloading easier. Shipment was timely and the price was competitive.

Well made and perfect for boat storage.

Thank you, for providing the solution to my problem in a fast, efficient, and effective way. I have a 12-foot long inflatable fishing boat that I carry on a utility trailer. Loading and unloading was taxing my 63-year-old body! These roller bunks fit perfectly on the 4' gate of the trailer and, with a small, inexpensive winch, loading and unloading my boat is now quick and easy. Although used in a way not traditionally intended, it is the perfect solution for me. Thanks again! I will definitely look to you again as future needs arise for creative solutions.

thank you for beings so fast you Guys are great thanks again

I love these roller bunks. Purchased two pairs of the four-foot size to mount on my floating dock to park my two Yamaha Waverunners on to keep them high and dry. They work and perform more than perfectly. I mounted each bank of rollers on a 2"x6" board for the required added clearance at 23" inches apart on center. Perfect. They can be rolled off easily by hand by one person, once marine grade grease(optional) was applied to each roller mechanism with a grease gun. Wipe them off, and there is no mess. I am actually going to mount another two pair on to a plywood spare removable platform on a general-use utility trailer, making it unecessary to purchase a usually poorly built purpose-built trailer. Nearly one year out in the open on the Florida Gulf Coast at the beach with zero rust to-date. Unheard of in these parts. Enough said. Thank you so very much for you help with such a fine product. J.P.

Low water levels made my board bunks usless, my boat loaded with minimal effort using these roller bunks. Thanks!

Lawrence R.

Application is for a boat house carriage and even with higher water this year, the roller bunks continue to work great.

Got rollers took few hours to install had to take bunkers off drill holes once done reloaded boat with easy
Sure they will make loadin and unloading much easier . Thanks for great product its second pair I have install on boat trailer

John S.

still in good working condition thanks for askin

Installed the bunk rollers and they work great. Thanks for adjusting my order I really appreciate it.

The personnel (specifically Lisa D) and customer service is excellent. I highly recommend CE Smith Roller Bunks and all of the products at etrailer.

Unless your boat's bottom is perfectly flat for the length of the rollers, these will have only a few points of contact and stress your hull. My hull is very slightly curved, which my bunks easily conformed to, but these rollers did not. And they didn't make it easier to push off the boat.

They work great, be careful, boat will fly off trailer if not secured as the boat is launched into the water.

Excellent,just what I needed.
I unloaded
the boat, took the trailor back to my house and put them on in 30mins
Good on shipment time they arrived two days later

Clyde S.

The bunk rollers still work great, just back down the ramp and the boats rolls off with ease

The product is exactly as advertised and cheaper than the other places we looked. Free shipping is also a plus. The roller bunks came within days and we are very pleased with the product and the company. This will be our first stop for any other parts we may need.

Purchased Roller Bunks for the boat trailer. My 18 ft. Sundance slides off with ease. These seem to be the most sturdy bolt on bunks on the market. Great price and super fast free shipping made it worthwhile shopping here.

Shipping time was great

I am very pleased with these rollers. The are build very strong and I am sure will last a long time. It has been a pleasure working with you. Another thing I really liked was the set up you gave me to track the shipment. It was the first time I've seen this, and it works so easy. I will sure plan on using you for anything else I need for my boat.

Thanks Gerry

Great product! I would recommend anyone use these rollers to replace their carpeted bunks.

Rollers not only arrived as promised, the quality was beyond expectations. I’m so impressed that l’ll be forwarding pictures of the before, during, completion, and as a bonus, I may even attempt a launch and recovery video. Hopefully, all by the end of the week! Thank You

That was delivered FAST I haven’t opened the box waiting for the trailer to be delivered. Once trailer completed I can inflate my AQUOS 12.5 fishing pontoon platform.

  • How Many 4 Foot Long Roller Bunks for 8 Foot Long Wood Bunk
Yes, if you have 8 foot long bunks currently then you'd want to install a total of two 4 foot rollers on each bunk like what comes with the # CE27700. So you'd need a quantity of two of this part number and you'd be set.

  • Roller Bunk Recommendation for 16 Ft Smoker Craft Pro-Lodge Boat Trailer
Although you may be able to get by with just using one set of 5 foot roller bunks, I am a firm believer that in this case more is better. Having rollers the entire length of your wood bunks will not only make the loading and unloading process easier but it will also provide added support. Since the cross members on your trailer are 7 feet apart, I recommend that you keep the existing wood bunks and attach two sets of the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers, # CE27700, to those. I do...

  • Roller Bunk Recommendation to Replace Wood Bunks on Boat Trailer
Roller bunks would be stronger than wood bunks since metal is much stronger than wood. The rollers would allow your boat to not have to be launched so deep too since it can roll off of the trailer. For 4 foot sections of roller bunks we have the part # CE27700.

  • Dimensions of CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers CE27700
The CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers # CE27700 are sold as a pair and have a nominal length of 4-feet. I went to our warehouse and measured their actual height and width. The rollers are 3-inches high (measured from the underside of the metal channel to the top of the roller wheels) and are 4-3/4-inches wide at the rollers.

  • Spare Tire for 2003 Smokercraft Osprey Boat Trailer
I don't have any reference material that would tell me the original tire/wheel size of your boat trailer. The existing tires will have the tire size information printed on the sidewall. With the tire size, I'd be happy to make a recommendation for a spare wheel/tire combo. You mention that the existing wheel is a 5 lug. We offer wheel/tire combos that have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt circle. I'll link you to an FAQ article that shows how to confirm your bolt pattern. We offer two 13 inch...

  • Will Galvanized Bunk Rollers Rust if Always Submerged in Water
The CE Smith Roller Bunks # CE27700 are made with galvanized steel which is designed to resist rust. However, it's not 100 percent rust-proof. Over exposure to water, like keeping them submerged all the time, will speed up the process. It's impossible to say how long they'll last but the short answer is yes, they will eventually rust. One suggestion to prolong this is to build the dock in sections so that you can switch the parts that are submerged periodically. This way the parts...

  • Are All Metal Parts of CE Smith Roller Bunks Galvanized
Yes, according to CE Smith all of the metal parts on Roller Bunks # CE27700 are galvanized. If they were not then the dissimilar metals could cause galvanic corrosion even if they weren't in water.

  • Roller Bunk Recommendations for Replacing 13.5 feet of Roller Bunks
I'd probably do two sets of 5 foot bunks like part # CE27710 and just allow the amount of gap needed between the two bunks. Or if you wanted the bunks not to have any gaps between them you could go with an additional set of 4 foot bunks part # CE27700 and you could trim them down to match the length needed.

  • Will Roller Bunks Work on Jet Ski Trailer
The CE Smith Roller Bunks - 5' Long # CE27710 will absolutely work for your jet ski trailer and they will contour to your jet skis in the exact same manner as the bunk boards you have now do. The roller bunks should match the length of your existing bunk boards and there is the aforementioned 5' long boards as well as the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 4' Long # CE27700. You can mount them onto your existing bunks like you mentioned and their 1,500 lb capacity will be plenty...

  • How To Determine the Correct CE Smith Roller Bunks for a Boat Trailer
The CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers part # CE27710 are 5' long so as long as these are close to the same length of the bunk boards you have on your trailer now they will work well for you. The CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers are is offered in a 4' long version, part # CE27700. I cannot confirm fit based on the make or model of the boat/trailer unfortunately, only the length of the existing bunks.

  • Can Trailer with 4 Foot Bunks be Replaced with 5 Foot Roller Bunks
Normally we'd recommend replacing your 4 foot wood bunks with the same size roller bunks like with the part # CE27700 that you referenced but if you have room for a longer roller bunk you certainly could do that like with the # DL21741 which is a 5 foot roller instead. You'd just have to take some measurements and see if going with a slightly longer bunk would be feasible.

  • Recommended Roller Bunks For 4,500lb Boat On Boat Lift
I have a solution for you but the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers item # CE27700 you referenced only have a 1,500 lb capacity per pair. I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk item # DL21741. These rollers have a 3,000 lb capacity per pair so you will need to purchase two sets to support your 4,500 lbs boat. They come in 5' long sections and have 12 sets of 3 rollers.

  • How to Reduce Rolling Friction on PWC Trailer to Allow Use of Single-Speed Hand Winch DL16003
Since the Dutton-Lainson Single Speed Hand Winch # DL16003 fits your mounting area and has the handle type you need, I suggest you consider just reducing the friction on your PWC trailer by installing roller bunks. Roller bunks like # CE27700 substantially reduce friction between the PWC and the trailer and this means the 400-lb capacity winch will have to work less hard. This not only makes your loading easier and faster but it will also extend the life of your winch by reducing its workload.

  • Roller Bunks For Parker Boats Model 1801 Center Console
I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk # DL21740 with their 2,500lb capacity per set over the CE Smith # CE27700. With them only having a 1,500lb capacity limit per set I would not feel comfortable using them on your boat. The majority of the weight will tend to be on the rear of the boat. I would fear the rear set of rollers becoming damaged as they might be very close to their limit by the time you add any other gear or accessories to the boat.

  • Can Roller Bunks Be Used On a Pontoon Boat Trailer?
Yes, you can use Roller Bunks # CE27700 with a pontoon boat trailer. These come in 4' long sections that you can attach directly on top of the bunk boards or you can use the V-Wing Bolster Bracket # CE26244G if you are concerned with raising the height of the boat on the trailer as you already mentioned the shallow ramp. I do recommend using Roller Style Guide-Ons # CE27672 to help position the pontoon on the rollers when loading your pontoon boat.
