Bunk Boards

These carpeted bunk boards provide hull support for your boat during transport and storage. Each 3-foot-long board is wrapped in weather-resistant, marine-grade black carpet. You can run the bunk boards front to back for traditionally shaped hulls or side to side for flat-bottom boats, kayaks and inflatables.

To attach the bunk boards to the front and rear crossmembers of your trailer frame, use existing brackets or a four-pack of swivel mounting brackets (CE10000G-4, CE10001G-4 or C10002G-4 - sold separately). These brackets allow you to install the bunk boards at different heights. In addition, they enable the bunk boards to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes.

I am in the process of refurbishing a boat and trailer I've had since 1995. I was going to recarpet the side bunks until I saw these at etrailer.com. They are nicer than I could have done myself and the price made this purchase a no-brainer. I am a very happy customer!

by:

I ordered these replacement boards for my trailer and they are exactly what I expected and shipped very fast! I will order from etrailer again!
Side note: the care in which they packed these boards for shipping speaks to the excellence of this company!

by:

Delivered on time and easy to install. No pre-drilled holes, so there's flexibility to fit to your trailer.

by:

Great material and stapling. Bought several 3 foot sections and a couple of your pontoon brackets to make a carrier for my canoe. Fits in the back of the truck perfectly. Quality products, great prices, super fast shipping. Thanks guys

by:

They were just what I was looking for. Thanks you, so much

by:

Trailer bumper/rails still look brand new.

by:

High quality, easy to work with.

by:

These bunks are exactly what I needed to replace the old rotted out ones that fell off of my trailer. I thought that I was
going to build my own, and priced the carpet needed to do it myself. For the price of the carpet, I was able to buy 2 matched and ready to go from etrailer.com! Thanks for saving me a days work and providing a professionally made matched set !

Great

by:

For the price you think you get more than one. I should have looked closer but at the same time one should not be priced as much.

by:

I was thinking of making these myself but when I went on your website I changed my mind immediately. For the price you can't go wrong. saved me a lot of time and aggravation. The price for shipping was more than reasonable and fast. I am impressed with the quality of these. I have ordered from etrailer before and will continue to do so.

Great!!

by:

Well, they are just two pieces of carpeted 2 X 4....what can I say. However, if your like me, they will save you much time, money, and effort. You WILL NOT have to buy a heavy duty staple gun, or, instead, a quart or so of Barge Cement, or go find something heavy to weight the carpet down while the glue dries, or figure out how much carpet to buy in the first place, or, finally, hurt yourself cutting carpet with a sharp object. Just go buy the pre-carpeted bunks, they are great.

I needed parts for my 1962 Balko tilt small boat trailer. I call after making a list of parts I wanted and talk with customer service rep Sandy J. Awesome she checked all items for being in stock so I could get my order on Friday. That way I could start on it Friday night and have Sat and Sun to finish it up. As you see in the picture as of Sat night 8:30 CST almost done. I will finish up tomorrow and a big thanks to Sandy J. The team at eTrailer who got my order packed and shipped out on time. Parts are good quality for dollars spent. I highly recommend eTrailer for parts but so nice to find someone who cares about what they do everyday. One tip is to bore the hole into the bunker and installl a piece of PCV pipe for the 1/2 bolt to ride on instead of just the wood. I also mixed up some West Systems Epoxy and coated the hole in the bunker, PCV pipe and slide them into place. Added a Stainless Steel washer to each side done deal.

I'll be back If I ever needed anything again.

Regards,

Mike

Still working great after 1 year!

by:

I just received my recent order from etrailer. The order consisted of a set of side bunk boards for my boat trailer. The ordering process was simple and quick. The order processing was just as fast and I received the order in a few days. The product was as advertised. I am very satisfied. I have not yet mounted the boards to the trailer. They look as good or better than the original factory equipment. I do not have a photograph to share. I look forward to using etrailer.com in the future.

Bunks have held up nicely, no problems after 1 year...

by:

The CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards 3' long were as advertised and fit and worked well for our boat trailer.

by:

Purchased these boards to replace my old ones that were getting soft. Installed with wood screws and one board held fine while the other stripped out both mounting locations. Not sure why? To correct the problem I purchased lag bolts and drilled through the bunk. So far they are holding in place this way. Hard to beat for the price even with a few issues.

by:

Bunks arrived on time and have worked out good for my application, I needed something to help center back of boat on the trailer, tried the guide poles and they bent to easy when surge moved boat against them, so these will work great to help center the boat!

by:

East to install stays outside not covered still looks brand new.

  • Parts Needed to Convert a Boat Trailer From Rollers to Bunks
In order to switch from rollers to bunks, you will need to remove the rollers that you are no longer using. I do not see a reason why you can't continue to use the front rollers. You would just want bunks that stop a little but before the front rollers so they do not interfere with each other. You would need to get the bunk boards, swivel brackets and u-bolts for installing the bunk boards. You will need to measure to determine the correct length of bunk board that fits between the middle...

The Malone MicroSport Trailer # MPG460G uses crossbars like what you would find on the roof of a vehicle instead of bunk boards. This is sold on our site as the Malone Crossbar Conversion Kit # MPG475 and it comes with the mounting hardware. If you are wanting carpeted bunk boards instead we have them in the following lengths: 2' - # CE27850 3' - # CE27800 4' - # CE27810 5' - # CE27820 6' - # CE27840 These come in pairs.

The closest we can get to the 103 inches you need is with a 6 foot # CE27840 and 3 foot # CE27800, which comes out to 109 inches. These bunk boards are not pressure treated, they are made from untreated southern pine, though the carpeting on them is marine-grade and weather resistant. I have added links to a couple video reviews of these boards for you to check out as well.

  • How To Choose the Correct Roller or Carpeted Bunk Boards for a Trailer
The size of bunk board or bunk roller you will need for your boat trailer is based off the hull size. However, generally speaking the manufacturer knows what size roller/bunk works best for the boat/trailer. Therefore I recommend using the same size that the trailer came with but it wouldn't hurt to go a bit longer if you have room. If you are switching from rollers to carpeted bunk boards then I would go longer. For the carpeted bunk board option we have part # CE27800 which are 36" long,...

You generally see pivoting bunks on boat trailers instead of fixed ones so that they can move a little to better fit against the boat. If you go to fixed bunks using # CE27800 then you have to make sure they are installed in the right positions to make the most contact with the boat so that it sits properly on the trailer.
