When you apply the brakes in your tow vehicle, deceleration occurs and momentum pushes your trailer toward the rear of your vehicle. With surge brake systems, the actuator is triggered as your trailer moves forward while the tow vehicle slows. The actuator telescopes, applying force to its master cylinder, which in turn supplies the necessary hydraulic pressure to engage the trailer's brakes.

I absolutely hate the twist lock on it. Received this twist lock style instead of what was pictured with a flip latch. Called to speak my piece about it and was told it was all they had. Now I'm stuck with it. I hate it!
Direct Bolt on, better than welding. Surge Brake Line connected just fine. Bled Brakes. Test drive was successful. What more could you ask for. I chose the hand tightening knob over the Lever because it was more assuring to me that it was tight on the ball and the locking mechanism has never failed. I have used Titan surge actuators for 40 years. I am using this actuator on a 4,000 lbs. boat and trailer. On my way to the lake!
It was late in the day when order this I had my doubts that it would be delivered the next day and it was install took about an hour took the longest was to bleed the brakes
Bolted right on with no problem. Now to pull off the hubs and check the wheel cylinders
This is an inferior product as it has no opening to pump brake fluid for bleeding brakes like better actuators. You must use a 2X4 or other items to pump actuator. Also, better actuators have auto lock with locking pin for securing to towing ball rather than a screw down. This actuator is outdated and I replaced it with a better product.
Bolted right onto the trailer. No instructions and the link on the web sit didn't work but what do you need for two bolts. Wouldn't have minded some guidance with bleeding the brakes but got it done anyway.
Greatly improved the towing of my boat trailer!

Its working great replaced my 26 year old brake actuator
Excellent product. This was almost an exact replacement for the original one that was on my boat trailer. I had the boat out about once a week this summer and the actuator worked perfectly. Braking was smooth and it locks down easily on the hitch ball. I highly recommend this actuator.
Product was as ordered. Shipped promptly. Only been used two times and works fine

Still works as it should
So far it looks like it will work. We have yet to install it.
This product perfectly replaced my tongue master cylinder on my 1992 Capri boat trailer. It bolted right up and the brake line thread was the same. It was super easy. It is a huge improvement!
Perfect replacement for my existing brake. I'm using this brake coupled with the Titan actuator W/reverse lockout solenoid since there is no manual lockout and I don't have free backing brakes.
Excellent value, great heavy duty product, fast and easy installation, perfect fit.
Can't ask for more!
The master cylinder leaks around the ca p.

You mentioned that the master cylinder is leaking around the cap. I suggest replacing the cap and we do have it available. It is part # T4480701 on our site.

Very easy to install, I took the old unit off and had the new one installed in less than an hour. I hooked the trailer to my truck and primed the Hydraulic cylinder before I attached the brake line. No problems.
Just as shown online product fit perfect great to see a company that has great service and low prices. I will buy again when I need something. Brake actuator looks exactly like my old one saved a lot of time and money.

Seems to be what I needed to have replaced, was easy to install. Only problem, NO instructions. I did find video suggestions online.
Arrived corroded and not functioning properly. I had to disassemble and clean the rust that was on the inside of the fluid reservoir and the piston. I would have sent back but I needed it at the time. The piston was frozen. It took some time for me to figure this out.

Very good and easy to install on my 1998 boat trailer. Not a fan of the screw down coupler but thats a minor issue....
