  • Electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator mounts on trailer and plugs into 7-way trailer connector
    • Electric current runs to actuator when tow-vehicle brakes are applied
    • Signal triggers pump and motor on actuator, activating trailer brakes
  • Actuator is compatible with most in-cab brake controllers
    • Brake controller (sold separately) is required to send signal from tow vehicle to trailer when brakes are applied
  • Pump-and-motor-based system increases response time compared with traditional hydraulic actuators
    • Trailer brakes are triggered when you apply brakes in tow vehicle, as opposed to when trailer pushes against hitch ball
  • Electronic, proportional pressure valve ensures that braking is smooth and effective
    • Controls braking pressure during long-term braking
  • Fluid reservoir is isolated and has diaphragm-type filler cap to prevent spills and leakage
  • Integrated, weather-sealed connectors make installation a snap
  • Quick, easy connecting every time with plug-and-play design
    • Plug-in harness - no hardwiring required
    • Additional plugs connect to vehicle battery and breakaway switch
  • Potted hybrid circuitry provides dependable service even under adverse conditions
  • BrakeRite, wiring harness, breakaway switch and breakaway battery harness included (battery sold separately)

  • Application: disc brakes
    • Compatible with drum brakes when used with optional reducer (T4844100 - sold separately)
  • Vehicle requires an in-cab electric brake controller and 7-way (blade style) trailer connector mounted near bumper (sold separately)
  • Max output pressure: 1500 psi
  • Ford and GM trucks with factory brake controller require adapter (T4845900 - sold separately)
  • Includes:
    • Breakaway battery harness
    • Battery switch harness
    • Standard 7-pin harness
  • 1-Year warranty

With a faster response time and more proportional braking than traditional, surge-type actuators, the BrakeRite is perfect for nearly any towing application, from light to heavy duty. The system works with most in-cab brake controllers to sense when and how you apply the brakes in the tow vehicle. An electrical signal is then sent to the actuator to trigger its pump and motor. Brake fluid is released and sent to the trailer brakes to activate them. The result is real-time braking that, thanks to the electronic, proportional valve system, is also smooth and controlled.

E trailer came through with limited quantities of eoh activator kits when no one else had them.
And a real person tracked my order and send me emails about status

great product. good value.

i used the same unit on my old trailer. installing this one on my new boat trailer, they work great

Great kit and value. Wish including battery & box for simple but see why as some may want bigger battery

Expensive but worth every penny! Works like a charm, it does have a whining sound when in operation, this includes stop lights, you'll sit there with a constant buzzing, it's not super loud but noticeable. I have mine installed in a tongue tool box to protect from theft and weather so the sound is muffled. The extra safety and braking performance is worth though!

The actuator kit has really worked well! Installation was straight forward, and the system has worked great on my boat trailer. Far better than the original surge brake system.

Nice to have real brakes on the camper.

has a great tech help line. I explained the problem i was facing and was given 2 things to verify. Less than 5 minutes of trouble shooting and I had it working just like it is supposed to. Not only did they help me solve my problem, but I was emailed a revised owners manual and field trouble shooting guide.

Great products and great CS from titan

Thanks for getting our alternative parts out to us. etrailer is one of my best vendors!!

Purchase this product a few years ago. Unfortunately, it accidentally got damaged in an accident. It worked so well that my customer asked to order the same for replacement.

Nice quality

  • Can the Titan BrakeRite Electric-Over-Hydraulic System be Power Washed
The housing for the Titan BrakeRite electric-over-hydraulic systems is water resistant, but it is not water proof. I recommend staying away from the unit as much as possible when power washing because the circuit board inside the unit is only protected by the white plastic cover. If you want to design a housing around the unit, you will want to design a unit that still allows for air flow. There is a circuit board, a pump motor and electronic connections contained within this unit and...

  • Should Electric or Hydarulic Brakes be Used on a Boat Trailer
For any marine application I strongly advise switching to hydraulic brakes. You cannot seal out water completely and at some point they are going to short out if you keep using electric brakes. To avoid that headache you can switch to hydraulic brakes. There are a few parts you will need to make the switch: The correct brake assemblies Hub and Drum if yours are not hydraulic compatible Actuator Brake line kit Or you could add disc brakes: The correct rotor and hub assembly Actuator Brake...

  • Troubleshooting Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Disc Brake Actuator # T4813102
The Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit # T4813102 should not continue to apply hydraulic pressure after its 12-volt power feed has been cut. It might take a bit of time for the hydraulic pressure to fade completely but certainly the disc brake calipers should eventually relax their grip. My contact at Titan has provided me with the correct testing procedure for this unit; this will be sent to you in a separate email.

  • Where Do I Run the Wiring for Titan BrakeRite I Electric-Hydraulic Actuator in Plugnplay Brake Kit
The only hardwire connection that will need to be made for the Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit, # T4813102, is to a 12 volt DC battery with a minimum rating of 10 amp hours. All of the other components in the system use plug-in connections and connect to each other. I am including a video that explains how this system is set up. This system will not have any affect on your trailer's wiring set-up or junction box.

  • DOT II or DOT III Brake Fluid for the Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator # T4813102
DOT III would be the correct brake fluid to use with theTitan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit # T4813102. DOT II is typically used in drum brake applications so I would not recommend it with this system since this actuator is designed for disc brakes.

  • Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator Adapter Not Working on 2008 Ford Super Duty Brake Controller
First, make sure that the adapter #T48456000, is wired into the input wires on the BrakeRite EHB. White to white and blue to blue. The adapter is simulating the load of brake magnets so that the brake controller thinks there are just electric brakes on the trailer. I think the key here is where you have the white wire attached. Since these system ground in more than one place you may need to move the white wire to an alternate ground wire in the system. The old way this was done was to...

I just called my contact at Titan and they told me that you should never use the DOT 5.1 fluid. They said if DOT 5.1 is used it will reduce the life of the seals in the unit by about 75 percent. They told me that there is a typo in the instructions and DOT lll brake fluid should be used.

  • Why Do Trailer Brakes have to be Bled After 100 Miles Using the Titan Brakerite EHB
After a certain amount of use after the initial installation you will want to bleed the brakes again to ensure that there is no air in the system and that everything is still working properly with the Titan BrakeRite # T4813102 and the brakes. After that you would just follow a regular maintenance schedule.

As long as you can effectively bleed the brakes of the disc brakes on your trailer the Titan BrakeRite EHB part # T4813102 that you referenced would work just fine. What you have is an uncommon setup, but as long as they are trailer disc brakes that are designed for 1,500 psi this actuator would work just fine. • What is the Response Time for Titan BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuators
The Titan electric over hydraulic brake actuators including # T4813102 take 0.3 seconds to get to 200 psi and 1.1 seconds to get to 90 percent of their full rated pressure which would be 1,350 psi for the BrakeRite EHB # T4813102. This is about as fast as you're going to find for an electric over hydraulic actuator. If you converted that to an electric system it would be faster.

The placement of the actuator, # T4813102, is up to you. • Titan EHB Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Will not Pressurize
There are a few different issues that could cause your Titan EHB actuator to not build pressure. The first and easiest things to check is the ground connection and fluid level. A poor ground is the most common cause for electric-over-hydraulic actuators to fail. The actuator should be grounded to a 12 volt battery, not the trailer frame. The trailer frame is not a suitable ground location for this actuator. If you adjust the ground connection and the unit will still not pressurize, you...
