The Sur-Moor T3C Mooring Buoy lets you attach your pennant line to the top of the buoy instead of the submerged bottom, offering a faster, easier connection. No need to lift or maneuver the buoy out of the water.
The trick is the hollow tube that passes through the center of the buoy. This allows you to run the anchor chain directly up through the tube and out the top of the buoy. Simply connect your pennant to the shackle on the end of the chain and you're all set.

Ellen: Hey, everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a look at the Taylor Made Mooring Buoy. This is going to be the Sur-Moor T3C Mooring Buoy. And it's going to allow us to have a nice spot to moor up our boat or tie off our boat, still out on the water, and keep it in a stable spot. So, this does not come with a couple other things that you will need to actually have a complete system. You can find a lot of those here at etrailer.com. But as far as the mooring buoy itself, it does have this nice polyethylene shell on the outside to help protect it, and then a band of blue reflective material to make it more highly visible, even at night.
Inside, it's going to have a closed cell foam, so that's what helps it to stay buoyant. And there's no inflation required with this. So, you don't have to worry about it deflating and then sinking. It's going to stay afloat no matter what. That polyethylene shell is going to keep it protected. It's also UV resistant.
So, you shouldn't have to worry about any fading or cracking from being out in the sun all the time. We will need to get an anchor chain and shackle to pass up through the center of the buoy and then a pennant line to hook onto that anchor shackle. Those things are all not included with this, but you can find them here at etrailer.com. As far as the size of this, it has a two-inch diameter for our center tube. The buoy itself is 15 inches in diameter.
The circumference going all the way around is 47 inches. Our buoyancy is rated at 60 pounds. It has a three-year limited warranty and it is made in the USA. So, this is going to give you a nicer spot. You won't have to worry about lifting this out of the water.
It's going to stay afloat, be a nice visible spot to moor your boat to and allow you to get on with your day. Thanks for watching. And we'll see you next time.
