Today, we're going to take a look at the Taylor Made 13" x 24" long spoiler low drag buoy in orange. Now, this is a spoiler low drag buoy, which is designed to decrease the amount of drag the buoy creates to avoid scaring away the fish. The spoiler design of this is a more rounded shape, producing greater buoyancy and lower drag compared to other makes. Also, the unique ribbed design here helps create the turbulence that's necessary to lift this buoy from the water surface, generating up to 88% less drag. Has a nice large surface area. Non-fading neon colors make the buoy highly visible, and it is a heavy-duty seamless construction.
Right up here, the curved design here up by the rope eye prevents any chafing of your rope that you attach to this, and the ends themselves are reinforced and tested to 2000 PSI tensile strength. The rope-eye diameter right here is 1-1/2".Now, this can be inflated with a high-pressure air pump or an air compressor. Now, when you do receive this, it does not come inflated, so you would have to inflate it. The recommended inflation is two PSI. They do use a unique patented tri-valve design on this, and this requires a decent amount of air pressure to move the air through the valve so that it escapes the positive check valve, which is at the bottom of the valve.
That's why they do require a high-pressure air pump or air compressor. Basically, the hole where the air escapes into the buoy is on the side of the valve tube underneath that positive check valve, so higher air pressure helps that air escape out the hole and fill up your buoy. You can see it's a nice, bright orange color. It is made in the USA. It measures 13" in diameter, 24" long. Overall circumference of this is 41".
The salt water buoyancy is 90 pounds, and the freshwater flotation is 84 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Taylor Made, 13" x 24" long spoiler low drag buoy in the orange color.
