These work INCREDIBLY well. The install was easy AFTER I got the correct instructions from etrailer. The instructions that came in the box were horrible, missed steps and no use instructions. After the DL from etrailer, all went well. About 45 minutes start to finish and the difference is HUGE. NO shake whatsoever. One of the best upgrades to my 5th wheel so far.

Comments
This produce still looks and works like new. The RV is very stable with them enabled tightened down. Very satisfied.

The initial problems with broken box and losing parts in shipping were solved early. The lacking instructions were also solved also in a timely manner. The stabilizers are installed and work as good as hoped! Now I just have to level up the 5th wheel and line up the holes put the pins in, turn until snug and I’m done.

Comments
Theyve worked great until a fluke accident with road garbage. A tire tread from a semi went under my truck and hit the bracing causing one to come off at one end and the other bent. I have another ordered another because I liked it so much. It should be here this month sometime. I still think its a great product.

I have a 19 99 King Of the road fifth wheel installing the supports was easy due to the type of landing gear RV has had to mount them in a different position hopefully it will work well Picture attached

After getting some parts issues corrected (Thanks to Nicole and George at etrailer, and thank you Ryan at MorRyde), the installation went well. The side to side motion of the fifth wheel was essentially eliminated. This is a great product. I don’t think I need to install or use the Kingpin support that I purchased. The landing gear braces are all that’s needed. I did find that some silicone lubricant sprayed in the tubes helps with the extension and retraction of the braces. They can be a little tight due to the paint coating of the smaller inside tube. You will notice in the pictures that I chose to use the bolts instead of the pins to attach the braces to the brackets. I did this because I’m leaving the braces in place during landing gear operation (don’t forget to pull the tube lock pins), and I feel it helps to prevent thievery. The included flag to place at the landing gear control as a reminder to not operate with brace lock pins inserted, is a nice feature but my included warning flag did not include an adhesive type Velcro strip. I opted to install an electrical disconnect switch at the gear motor ground. After installing the tube lock pins, I immediately open the switch, prior to adjusting the braces at my camp spot or RV park pad. If you have a fifth wheel, I sincerely recommend this product.

Must buy! We have a 36’ Forest River 5th wheel, no auto levelers. Our trailer would move side to side easily even with King pin stand. Installed this in 30 minutes. Tightened up the shafts and couldn’t budge the trailer. I’m 300lbs and put all my weight into it, my son said he could feel I was trying to move it but didn’t shake at all. Game changer. No more side to side. Can’t say enough on how much this stopped the side to side movement. So easy to install. Set up one set takes 20 seconds to tighten. Must buy if your having the same problem I was having. Wife can sleep better even when I roll to the side. No shakes!

Comments
After one year, great! No complaints at all! I can immediately tell if I don’t tighten them up when I get to out spot. Night and day difference. Highly recommend.

The cross brace worked great. It took the shake out of camper. Would highly recommend them. Installation was easy. Thanks for a great product.

by:

Easier to install than other brands and stabilizes the fifth wheel.

by:

The installation book is missing a socket and wrench size needed to install.

by:

One year later still works great, easy to install and definitely stops trailer moving side to side when people are walking around. Would recommend for anyone with travel trailer or 5th wheel.

by:

This MORryde landing gear stabilizer was very easy to install and it provided far more stability to my 5th Wheel camper than anything I've tried in the past. No longer have carry 4x4s to reduce the length of landing gear exposed for stability reasons!

by:

Limited effect. To stabilize a fifth wheel sway needs to be controlled on both ends and front to back. Side to side at the front is definitely improved. One brace works as well as two. Still haven't found a way to stabilize a fifth wheel.

The Ultra-Fab wheel stabilizers part # UF21-001070
Ultra-Fab Chock and Lock Wheel Stabilizers for Tandem-Axle Trailers and RVs - Qty 2
$102.90
work well to eliminate some of the front to back movement of the fifth wheel. You could also add a tripod stabilizer part # UF19-950500
Ultra-Fab Economy 5th Wheel King Pin Tripod Stabilizer - Steel - 31" to 54" - 5,000 lbs
$137.96
if you dont have one yet. The stabilizer extends from 31 inches to 54 inches. If your fifth wheel trailer pin box sits higher you may need part # UF19-950600
Ultra-Fab 5th Wheel King Pin Tripod Stabilizer - Steel - 33" to 62" - 1,200 lbs
$149.65
which extends to 62 inches tall.

First off, my Winny Micro Minnie is only.7’ wide rather than thee standard 8’ so I had to cut the inner and outer tubes to get them to fit, but that was not a problem. These do what they are supposed to do. No more lugging the king pin tripod on trips. The only downside is the added weight of the struts makes the manual process of stowing the landing gear in the travel position a little more difficult. On my 5th wheel and I would imagine this is the case with most 5h wheels using the style landing gear these are made for, stowing the gear requires either sitting on the ground or bending over in an uncomfortable position to pull the pin and manually slide the inner landing gear tube into place. The struts make this a little more difficult due to the added weight. Without the struts I can just bend over to slide them into place. With the struts I have to sit down to do this. Your results will obviously vary by upper body strength.

by:

Not a hard install and this coupled with the trim-pod for the pin box removes about 80-90% of your movement. I remove the locking pins in the middle and leave it all attached. You can raise and lower the landing gear with ease as long as the middle pins are pulled.

A friend mentioned MORyde's cross brace to me. They'd seen it at a tradeshow with a convincing demonstration. Since I'd considered doing something similar it sounded like an easy way to get a professional install without traveling home to the shop. Ordered it from etrailer and here I am. Twenty minutes after unboxing it was installed and I tested by jumping back and forth in our 5th wheel's forward bedroom. It's exactly what I was hoping for to brace against the washing machine's action. Thank you MORyde and etrailer! Nice solution!

by:

I'll further review once I've opened the package and installed, but the box came ripped to pieces and the parts hanging out the end. It appears this is an extremely common issue based on previous reviews.
The powder coating was scraped in a few places and will need to be touched up. The holes in the threaded ends were not drilled large enough for the bolts that were supplied, I had to drill them out to 1/4" to accommodate. I then found that the threaded inserts are not concentric to the tubes, which means when you try to spin the tubes to either tighten or loosen the assembly they move in an oblong motion making it fairly difficult to spin.
All in all, I would say I received "Harbor Freight" quality with a price tag of a more premium product.

Comments
I am sorry to hear that your cross brace has arrived with scrapes. This can be resolved with some rust-oleum type of paint. I have also received some information that the rod should be in the middle of the tube. One of our installers said adding some lithium grease, like part # L11316
LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease - 16 oz. Can
$11.94
, can help this work better. This would be the only remedy we have. But, if you have pictures or video that can help us identify issue even better.
-- Etrailer Expert Katrina B - 07/25/2022
The welded in piece at the end of the tube is angled so I dont believe that grease would help. Its not off enough to be unusable but surely makes it difficult.

by:

Great addition to our 5th wheel RV, it took the shake out of the front of the RV.

by:

The camper is very stabile since installing both Morryde landing gear braces.

by:

etrailer we're great to work with but the stabilizer bars did not help.

by:

They work great and keep the trailer from rocking when the front legs are extended.

by:

Good product and good idea but it doesn't take all of the movement away. Great service from Etrailer.com

by:

The cross wheel brace/jack stabilizer does an excellent job (way better than a tripod) of taking the motion out of our 5th wheel when the jacks are down & we are spending time in it.
The only frustration is the smaller rod gets stuck every so often in the larger rod, when putting the jacks up or down. That means taking off the cotter pin & having to manually adjust the rods to move them. I've tried a dry lub & that helps but doesn't last long especially in rainy weather.

I love the product. I had some issues with missing parts but the folks at etrailer were quick to respond and put the missing parts in the mail. Also the drawings are not correct. They show eyelets in the smaller tube assembly that never showed up. etrailer quickly got to the bottom of it by reaching out to MORyde within minutes of my call. I might add that etrailer was not aware of this but they quickly got to the bottom of it. Turns out that MORyde incorporated the holes in the feet which is much smarter but as of this date have not updated the drawings. Really appreciate the help from the folks at etrailer.

Just a quick note to MORyde. I love your product and it works as designed but the tie down strap you gave is to short if the feet are fully extended. It's also cheap!! This is a product that needs some tension put on it. The stabilizer is great but you could include a more robust and longer strap, without a price increase.

by:

It’s cool. Works good. Definitely stabilizes the camper, especially getting in and out of it. Looks good, fits good. E trailer does a great job also.

by:

Concept and results match. On my Pinnacle, the installation had to be modified due to a square tone cross brace. There were several options to good installation.
1. Use one brace. Not quite as stable but still greatly improved.

2. Move one brace lower on the jack. Better for long term stays. Takes an extra 15 minutes.

3. Cut the crossbrace to allow a perfect fit and retraction . Not too keen on this option due to loss of brace strength an tool requirements

Over all this is a great product. The stability is much better. Modification should be expected since this is an after market product

Provides additional support for the front of the fifth wheel.
