I'm using the jacks to level the tailgate on my trailer so it can be used as a deck. They are easy to adjust for terrain variations

The jacks still work great. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being highest, I still give it a 5 for functionality. I would give it a 3 for finish durability. Next year I will need to strip and repaint them....or for the cost, just replace them. They get a lot of attention as it allows my down gate to be a level deck.

by:

Easy to install both in under an hour. Provide good stability to small (boat) trailer when deployed. I can see the paint/powder will be as durable as they were as simple to install

One year later and still loving them. No regrets with this purchase. Easy install, easy use and quality product

by:

A little tricky on the install because my trailer only has 12 inch diameter wheels (vs. the typical 13-15" size wheels on many trailers) but once I got them installed have worked good. Always excellent price and service from etrailer.com, they are my go-to source for all things trailer and towing related.

Good, no problems.

by:

Bought these for my cargo trailer. Did not get around to installing them for several months. When I finally unpacked them, the “foot” of one came off while I was unwrapping them. I had to drill holes and add a few screws to reattach. There was no damage to the box. They still serve their purpose, just disappointing.

by:

These trailer jacks are easy to install and operate. Very convenient to fold them up out of the way when not in use. I had an issue with one of them and reached out to eTrailer.com and they were able to address the issue and fix it to my satisfaction. I would buy these again through eTrailer.com without hesitation!

by:

An excellent designed product! I used them to replace the jacks that originally came on my small travel trailer. I was able to mount the jacks into the existing holes of the old jacks (no new drilling!). Their operation is much easier than the original jacks, just pull them down, and slide out! The only tool required is the adjustment bar that is sold separately. The reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is that the metal they are made out of is thinner than expected, and the welds on the base plates are just 2 small tack welds. So we will see how long it holds up after extended use

It’s been a year and they are working well, granted I only use the trailer a few weeks per year.

by:

I learned about this product on a YouTuber who did a review on a karavan trailer the product is perfect. It’s very easy to install. The only thing it didn’t come with was instructions how to raise and lower the leg and how to release it, but I figured it out overall, it was a great product. The paint has on it. It’s very thin so it scrapes real easily but excellent. Add onto my etrailer. Thank you.

by:

I love these supports. Since getting them, I can get my wheelchair in and out of my trailer without having to hitch it to my car.

by:

Put my motorcycle popup camper back to new again .awesome people to work with !!!!!

by:

Easy to install on Lance 1575 to replace original light weight marginal units. 3.5 ish inch bolt pattern luckily was the same as my originals. I wish they were a little beefier as the metal is quite thin and as others have mentioned, the spot welding is minimal. Good design though. Having read the reviews, I bought an extra to keep in the rig. I will be careful when setting up to prevent ant lateral movement.

Big improvement over the lightweight scissor jacks originally supplied with our 2017 Lance 1575.

by:

Installation was not very difficult. The material could be a little thicker but for this price and what i need them for they are good. I like that after folding them in the the back end of the spring mechanism holding them tide in place preventing rattling on the road.

Good Quality Stabilizers For My 6X12 Trailer. Easy To Install, Easy To Operate. I Would Buy These Again And Recommend Them.

by:

The black paint is the thinnest! Looks well made and works great though. Testing them out this weekend. The pads were too big to fit under our rear bumper. I trimmed them with an angle grinder and gave them a good coat of rustoleum. Problems solved.

In the first year of using these jacks I must say they have served me well. Easy to use and very affordable. I just grab them and flip them down, use the metal rod to put them under a little tension and putting them up is even easier. Use my foot to release the tension and flip them back up and they lock right in. Easy peasy.

by:

First of all these jacks did exactly as advertised. I have a small utility/camping trailer I wanted to stabilize better to help eliminate the trailer from rocking or sliding around. After mounting them they immediately improved the stability. If I wanted I could even raise the trailer wheels off the ground. I installed 1 pair underneath the back of the trailer. Install took less than 15 min.
The only negative of this design is the catch mechanism that holds the jack in the UP position. Returning from a camping trip a passing motorist informed me that one of the jacks were down. Luckily it was not damaged. Its possible it was rubbing on the trailer and wasn't able to fully lock UP. After a quick adjustment they have given me zero problems.

Not knowing Wat to buy, Nothing Listed for a 3900lb travel trailer... I believe with certain CAUTIONS these will do better than the aluminum stands i have. Its the word "STABILILIZER" gives proper meaning to these...

Might be OKAY for a Popup camper Pretty light Duty but effective...

by:

Keeps boat from tipping backwards, when on its trailer.

by:

Very handy and easy to install and use, but other reviewers are right: you may have to add a shim or spacer between the jack and the trailer frame/floor in order to get enough clearance for the back end of the spring mechanism when the jacks are folded up.

by:

They were way too light weight and the way the mounted they were to low. I ruined both when they bottomed out my trailer while exiting a driveway.

by:

Item was not packed right, came damaged. Have to straight. If your company would invest in bubble wrap or packing paper items would have a less chance of the carrier mishandling item.

This is second shipping problem i have had with this company. Heavy items need to be packed and boxed properly.

by:

These stabilizer jacks are heavy duty and work great and it’s unbelievable just how fast the shipping is.

by:

Getting these bolted onto the trailer was the hardest part requiring the purchase of a drill guide so that the holes through the rails were as close as possible to parallel. New tools are never a problem though :) Spend sufficient time making sure that the stabilizer jacks will fold properly and fit where you mount them. They work excellent and it's now easy to ride the big Pan America onto and off of the trailer without it being attached to the truck. Used it that way in Amarillo, Santa Fe and Austin last year and they are about to go west again. All good!

by:

I welded these onto the back of my small luggage trailer. They make good jacks when I take my wheels off for maintenance.

My luggage trailer weighs less than 650 pounds, so it's no problem and very convenient.

Also, if I have a tire blowout on the road, it would be easy to use them as a jack. All I would have to do is let them down.

Good buy for the price also.

by:

Works like it should but these got rusty very quickly. Pretty sure it was rusty before they painted it.

Year update: Still working terrific. They havent bound up or anything. Still slides easily and holds nicely.

by:

I had to do a bit of customization to the stabilizers to make them fit. Other that that these are a great product. Delivery was quick.

by:

Easy to install(although installation hardware is not included) and function as hoped.

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jack Upgrade for a 2016 Lance TT Travel Trailer
Sure there are, Roger. We have plenty of stabilizer jacks like the Stabilizer Jacks # TJ01RT-HD which has a 650 lb capacity, 11 1/2" retracted, and 18" extended. Just let me know what your current stabilizers measure in the comments and I'll take a look to see if we have anything that can help you out.

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jacks for Rear of 7k Enclosed Cargo Trailer
The Stabilizer Jacks # TJ01RT-HD you were looking at are what I would recommend for your cargo trailer. These are simple but effective and at a great price. The support capacity per jack is 1,000 lbs which will be fine for your trailer since they aren't holding all the weight, only stabilizing.

The fully extended length of the # TJ01RT-HD stabilizer jack would be 18 inches, which represents the 'A' Dimension in your photo. The 'B' dimension would simply be the height above the ground of the underside of your trailer when its level. The Atwood stabilizer jack is meant to hold up or stabilize the trailer, not lift it up off the ground.

  • Mounting Orientation of TJ01RT-HD Stabilizer Jack
There many possible ways to mount a stabilizer jack such as the # TJ01RT-HD you looked at. Mounting them in the orientation shown the diagram would tend to work a bit better to stabilize the trailer against side to side movement, while having the jacks parallel to the trailer frame members would do a better job stabilizing against fore/aft movement. However, mounting them as shown in the diagram would be pretty effective against movement both ways from normal movement in the trailer. The...

The support capacity per etrailer Camper Jack # TJ01RT-HD that you referenced is 1,000 lbs.
