The HappiJac tie-downs distribute the weight of your camper across the truck's bed to keep the ride comfortable and the camper secure. Holding the camper taut at all four corners and from the front of the bed - as opposed to securing it on top of the bed rails, like a typical bed-mounted system - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel. It's designed to make the camper an integrated part of your truck, instead of a heavy load perched on top of it.
The included centering guide locks help you with both loading your camper and keeping it secure. When you back up to load, the locks will nudge the camper into the right spot and make sure it's centered as it slides into your bed. Then they'll essentially hug your camper on each side to hold it snug and keep it from moving. They also put a nice rubber cushion between the truck bed wall and the camper.
When you're not using them, these tie-downs will be pretty subtle. The front anchor plates will poke out an inch or so from between the car and the bed, with the brace sitting on the inside of the bed, against the front wall. You'll be able to see it, but it won't interfere with using your bed for other things. You'll be able to see it, but it won't interfere with using your bed for other things. The rear anchors install on the bumper, and when you're not using them, the couplers remove from the anchors with a quick quarter-turn. Small and chrome-plated, these anchor points blend right in.

I am extremely happy with this setup.
Installation *could* be done by a single person, but would involve A LOT of figuring out special approaches to holding things in place for alignment and tightening. But I had a friend help me and installation went about as perfectly as one would hope for.
I have used the oriduct for multiple trips, sone of which were on washboard gravel and dirt roads, and the setup has worked perfectly.
My truck camper is a popup and pretty light, and the setup holds the camper in the truck very nicely. I suspect it would work very well even for heavier and larger truck campers, as well.

Easy to install, and glad to have the the guides to keep the camper from shifting. Headed up to Alaska for 6800 mi round trip.
I found installing the product easy to do. The directions were clear and easy to follow. While loading the camper the centering guides help greatly. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for camper tiedowns.
I have the system installed now and have used it once. The instructions were straightforward and correct and I'm happy with the finished product. One thing I plan on doing is to remove the brackets in the bed, paint the drilled holes with a clear paint to prohibit rain, and then paint the visible parts black so that it blends into my bedlined bed!
Works well, installed easily, just take your time.
