Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at these Torklift custom rear frame-mounted camper tie-downs. Now these are a custom fit part. They are designed to fit the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks, without the running board or the step that's underneath the truck bed. Now on a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now these tie-downs will provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck for securing your bed-mounted camper to your vehicle, and we do also sell the front tie-downs. Those are sold separately. Now one tie-down will go on the driver's side, one on the passenger side, and you can see there's two holes right here on the tie-down inserts. These allow you to connect your turnbuckles from your camper to your truck and they don't interfere with anything on your vehicle. And then on the insert that slides in here, there's actually two holes on the shank of this insert, which will allow for different width campers. You can feel dramatic improvement with the vehicle handling and stability, and it's the safest way to haul a truck camper.
Prevents any vehicle sway and camper movement in all directions. Now you can haul your truck camper confidently by attaching your tie-downs to the strongest part of your truck, which is the frame. And, vehicle manufacturers do recommend that all full-height sliding camper bodies should be directly attached to the vehicle frame structure. The frame-mounted design will ensure excellent handling by securing the camper to your truck's base instead of its bed, which will better distribute the weight to help keep the setup from being too top heavy. It also helps avoid bed and bumper damage that's common with other tie-downs system. Now this one is a nice fast no-drill installation, securing your truck camper to your truck.
This will help maintain the value of your truck and preventing rust and bed damage by avoiding having to drill into your truck bed or your bumper. As I mentioned, this is custom fit for your vehicle, the driver's side and the passenger side brackets. The brackets will fit right to the truck frame, so there's no loss of ground clearance. They're perfect for off road truck camping, and then they're virtually undetectable when they're not in use. These tie down inserts right here can be easily removed from your frame mounted receiver brackets with these pins. So you can see if we pull these snapper pins out, the insert right here, can slide it right out and then this bracket will be totally mounted underneath the vehicle.
You wouldn't even know it had them on it. And then when you go to tie down your camper, you just take your insert here I mentioned here's the two different holes for the different width campers. If you put it in the first hole, be for a wider one, if you got a narrower camper, you just slide it to the next hole and then you take your pin, slide it all the way through, clip it, and then you attach your turnbuckles right here and you're all ready to go.And as I mentioned, the hidden design of these brackets returns your truck to the original look when it's not being used with the tie-downs. These are a steel construction. They have a nice black powder-coat finish for durability. It does include everything shown here. It includes the two rear deck tie-down inserts, the frame brackets, all the necessary hardware to install it, nice set of detailed instructions and these parts are made in the USA, but that should do it for the review on the Torklift custom rear frame-mounted camper tie downs.

Ready your truck to haul a camper with these sturdy tie-downs. Inserts slide into frame-mounted brackets for use and easily remove for a clean, unobtrusive look. Custom designed for your vehicle.Good product, easy to install, with this tie downs attached to the chassis my camper will be very secure. They’re fairly easy to install if you have a basic mechanical skills. I’m attaching pictures of the final installation on my GMC Sierra 2019 ( new body style). I might make some holes so the arms of the tie downs don’t stick so far out.
Extremely well made. These tie downs are what I would call stout. The welds look good and the powder coating looks like it will take the salty roads of Wisconsin. If you have a friend with a lift it will make life much easier.
Very nice product. Wish I had an air impact instead of a 13/16 box wrench for the bottom bolt that goes into the trailer hitch bar. That took the most time an 1/8 turn at a time. Goes together great. Instructions very clear.
Install was completed with no problems with tie downs. Directions were clear and understandable
