Today we're going to review part number 03001175B. This is the Optronics Copilot halogen light with the flexible arm. This light has a flexible 18" long arm. Just going to measure it here to give you, if it's fully extended out you can see it would be 18" long. Now this arm can be pretty much moved into any position, and as you move it, it would stay in that position. The mounting base, as you can see on the bottom there's three mounting holes.
You just remove this top black plastic cover and you have access to the mounting holes to mount it wherever you'd like. The switch arm here, as you can see there's a switch. It has the on and off designation there. And it does have two wires. It has a very nice black finish.
It has two wires. The white wire is the ground wire. The red wire would be the 12-volt power wire. And what we're going to do here is I have a portable power source. We're going to connect these to give you an idea of the brightness of the light.
So the white wire we're going to connect to the ground, and the red wire we will connect to the 12-volt power. So now with both of them connected, we'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, turn the power on, and then just using the switch right here, you can see just turn it to line up and the light will come on. A very nice bright light. In other words, you can turn it for a reading light, whatever position you'd like. And then if you need to turn it off, you just rotate that the other way, and you can see it goes off.
So that would be on. That would be off. There is another indication there that if you turn this all the way, past the off, that back will pop off and you've got access to the wires in there. But right now, if you just leave it like that you'll have an on and off switch. That should do it for the review on part number 03001175B. They look just like the original lights that came with the RV and so fit exactly in the space.
The product was what I was looking for and works fine. I ordered 2 lights and I could tell both had been returned once before. The wire ends were frayed, both plastic bags the lights can in had been opened. One ripped open in the middle and the other from the end and then stapled shut. The one opened from the end had no mounting screws. Both worked fine but I felt I didn't get brand new lights.
Product, co-pilot halogen light, was packed very well and looks great. I gave it a test and all appears fine. I like your products but value shipping could be a little faster.
