Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Front Runner side or rear-mount propane tank holder. Now this mounting system here will secure your propane tank to the side, or to the rear of your SUV, your truck, or your trailer. It is designed to work with tanks that have a diameter from eight and five-sixteens inches, up to 11 and three-eights inches in diameter. You notice the brackets have adjustment holes on 'em, that you can adjust it to fit the tank size you need. And these are swing-away brackets.
You can see when you slide this to unhook it, they'll open up and swing away to adjust, to accommodate the different size tanks. And also what's nice, if you notice, they have rubber bumpers right here on both brackets, and on the base plate here, so that when your tank's in there, it'll prevent movement and reduce rattle. The stainless steel safety latch here at the front keeps the tank secure. Basically, you just hook it, push it down, and it snaps into place. And they do also sell, if you look closely, they have a little hole right here that'll line up.
We do sell a small accessory cable lock that'll go through to help prevent theft of anybody trying to open it up. Just to show you what we're talking about, there's an insert of the cable lock that'll fit right through there, and then you can put your combination in there, to prevent anybody from getting into it. We do sell that separately on our website. It's part number FR33HJ. But basically this will mount to the side, or the rear of your vehicle.
You can see the mounting base pack here, with the included hardware. It comes with the included hardware. It does require drilling. This is a black powder coated steel construction, which will resist corrosion. Total weight on this unit is just under 10 pounds, about 9.9 pounds.
Does come with a nice set of instruction, describes how it gets put together and installs. And the last thing we're gonna do, is just give you some dimensions. The width of it, from here to here, put a tape measure on it, is right at about 11-and-a-half inches wide. The height on it, back here is your tallest point. It's about eight inches tall. And then the length, from the back to the very front, is gonna be right at about 14 inches long. But again, just to show you, if you unslide this, unhook it, just like that, and then unhook it from that, and it'll open up to take your tank. Put that around your tank, latch it, pull it closed, and lock it into place. You're all ready to go. But that should do it for the review on this Front Runner side or rear mount propane tank holder.
