This waterproof bag fits perfectly inside your Curt roof-mounted cargo basket (C18115-117 - sold separately) or within most other roof-mounted cargo baskets that can accomodate the bag's dimensions. This durable bag holds your gear on your roof, leaving more passenger room and trunk space. It is made of a heavy-duty material with welded seams and zipper flaps to keep your cargo dry. It opens on the front and side for easy loading with zipper pulls that can accommodate a padlock for added security.
The Curt cargo bag is constructed of a thick, UV-resistant vinyl that is designed to keep your gear clean and dry. Welded seams keep water from seeping into the bag.
As an additional measure of protection for your gear, a vinyl flap covers the zipper and secures with hook-and-loop fasteners (similar to Velcro) to keep moisture out. When rain or snow hits, you can continue on your journey, knowing your cargo is safe and dry.
This bag is designed to be used with a rooftop cargo basket. Position the bag in your basket, and load the bag with cargo from the back and sides. Then zip up the bag and secure the zipper flap.
Adjust the integrated polypropylene straps on the bag to the length needed. Then wrap each strap end around the crossbars and side rails of your roof cargo basket so that the bag is secured. Tighten the straps with the sturdy plastic buckles.
When you are not using the bag, just remove it from your roof and fold it up until your next trip.
The zipper pulls have holes through which you can insert a padlock (sold separately) to guard against theft.

One year update: Still love this cargo bag. Its really well made and still looks new after a year of traveling. Its definitely water proof and has kept our luggage dry through some strong southern US storms.
Extremely satisfied with this product. Curt was the only brand that promoted “waterproof”, not just that but it was the exact size that was needed. Just finished a 2000+ mile trip to Michigan’s UP. We went through a few “toad stranglers” w/o a drop of moisture within the cargo bag. The bag is made of quality coated fabric. The zippers & seams are heavy duty & withstood the high demand of accessing cargo while on the road. Cannot comment on the tie down straps that came w/ the bag b/c we did not use them, using ratchet straps was a little more familiar to secure the bag to our roof basket. Over all a 5 star product. Would purchase again in a heart beat.
Great product. Fairly waterproof. Large, held a lot of luggage. Tie down straps were well placed and strong. Fit perfectly in my roof rack.
1 year review: We used this with our oversized CURT basket throughout our travels within' the US but it wasn't as sturdy as advertised. There are already a couple small rips on the bottom of the bag. It didn't affect the inside but just a little disappointed at the quality. On the bright side, the bag was large enough to cover our totes, duffle bags, light coolers, and other misc. small things. Would buy again, only if the bottom of the bag was double or even tripled sealed so it doesn't rip so easily.
PS: We also did buy the oversized CURT net for extra protection. The straps you see on the pictures DID NOT come with the bag. If it did, we did not receive but a couple straps and the oversized CURT net did its thing!
I love this bag! It is very large and sturdy. As long as you don't abuse it (Example: Drag it across rough surfaces) and store it properly, I imagine it will last a long time. I have used it 3 times in the 1 year I have had it. I put it on top of my truck tonneau cover because I have tools inside the bed. I opted not to use the straps it came with the bag, so I use rachet straps to tie it to my truck ladder rack.
Ok e owned many “so called “ waterproof bags over the years and Curt is the only one that truly does it’s job. My last one I had for 3 years and never had a problem, until it was stolen out of my garage. I guarantee, you will not be disappointed. Also I love that it zips open on three sides. Very convenient for loading.
Is not rainproof at all. All of our luggage that was at the front of the rack were completely soaked after driving through a rainstorm. I believe the issue is that the flap that covers the zipper is not long enough. The size and price is right but I would not purchase again
After 1 year and many many trips in the back of my F250, this product has held up through rain, snow and highway driving wind. It sat in the back of my truck for 11 days after a 30" snowfall and when I opened it, the contents were cold but not wet.

Continues to be a good buy and provides good service in the back of my F250. Tied it to the top of a Toyota Sienna van for a drive to Minnesota this past winter through rain and snow at highway driving speeds - not a of moisture inside.
HAVEN'T PUT THEM TO THE TORTURE TEST YET, BUT VERY HIGH QUALITY DESIGN. LOVE THE SIZE OF THESE. CAN PUT 3 FRONT RUNNER WOLF PACKS WITH HIGH DOMES INSIDE EACH OF THESE AND PUT TWO CARGO BAGS ON TOP OF MY SAFARI RACK....SWEET!!! GREAT PRICING TOO. WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW EVERYTHING PERFORMS SHORTLY. LIVE IN FLORIDA SO NOT A QUESTION OF IF WE GET RAIN,SO MUCH AS WHEN WE GET RAIN. CERTAINLY IMPRESSED SO FAR.
These are very challenging to work with when it comes to mounting them to vehicle roof rails and adjusting length of bar to it's equal on both sides. Once they're finally installed they look steong and astethetically appealing. Haven't tested them out with Curt roof rack yet
Pros: It is big and spacious and easy to secure to your vehicles as it has numerous straps! So very versatile for whatever gear you are bringing.
Con: It isn't as durable as I would have thought. I have only used it... maybe four times since purchase and typically use it a week or two during each trip. I don't consider that heavy use. But it started cracking/ tearing a bit after 1-2 uses. Not severely, it is still useable but it just surprised me as my wife and I weren't particularly hard on it.
It's a decent bag, and I think if you ok with replacing it every 3-4 years then it is probably a-ok. If you don't want to invest more every few years, it might not be the bag for you.
Just as advertised sturdy and well made it would have got 5 stars but I am not a fan of plastic latches on the straps I use ratchet straps with the bag along with the ones that came with and never had a problem other seem to take the stress off the regular ones and move has broke tet
After a year of using this on my camper, I still give it a five. No leaks, very sturdy and stable. I have filled to the limit and probably beyond the limit and the bag has held up very well. We have been through heavy hail and rain conditions and there has been no moisture inside. Very tough bag.
Use this in the back of my pickup. It fits right across the back. Lots of extra waterproof storage.
Received product on time and was able to install it without any hassle in couple of hours with the help of videos provided and instruction sheet that came along. Definitely recommend etrailer.

We use this in back of our truck bed when visiting relatives. It has kept everything dry and secure. When we get home it folds up into a nice small package.
love the bag ! I bought for my son in law who has a small child and new pickup truck.They need to travel with a lot of stuff for their 16 month. With a baby seat in back means the the room for luggage consists of the bed of truck. Curt bad allows for the luggage to be protected in bed of truck. Thanks

Works as expected and feels solid
I've used this 4 or 5 times for longer road trips (7+ hrs) and it's worked great. Has rained, snowed and been sunny and it's still holding up.
Worked perfectly on top of my 2004 highlander Drove from LA to the Carolina’s in mixed weather. No issues
