Hi everyone, its Evangeline here at etrailer.com and today we are looking at our Rhino Rack Stretchable Cargo Net for Rhino Rack's steel cargo baskets here at etrailer. Now I take roof baskets out a lot for when I go camping and hiking. And one thing I noticed is if I'm not extra careful about strapping things down. I have straps flying around and some of my bags, even though they are secured, they do tend to flop out of the cargo basket. So that can be pretty annoying. Cause you see that from inside the car, but it can also be unsafe if you don't have it strapped down.
For those reasons, I recommend picking up a cargo net like this because it will help keep all your cargo secured. And let's say you want to put a tarp over it, to keep it a little bit weather proof. That's going to keep it all in place. This is a stretchable cargo unit and you can see, as I pull it how elastic it is, which is pretty good. If you have larger cargo because that's going to fit over and around your gear.
One thing about this is that it secures two Rhino Rack baskets. So that's what the ideal pairing is. If you have other baskets, it may fit. Just make sure that your bars are about an inch in diameter. So the stretchable cargo net comes in two sizes.
Now if you have really tall cargo or if it's especially bulky, or if you have the larger cargo basket, you may be interested in sizing up. This is made of ultra light, bungee material. You can see how it stretches and then it comes back. As for the hooks, it's a single piece hook. You're not dealing with like Caribbean style hooks.
You just pop them onto your bars and then it stretches over your cargo. Now, whenever you are using a roof basket, I highly recommend using straps with your cargo. A stretchable cargo net is not enough to hold all of that down. It should be used in addition to the straps, you already have holding your cargo in place. Now we have some kits here at each etrailer. One has the net along with some tie-down straps, you can check that out here at our website. You can also pick up this strap separately. You have Rhino Rack. We have etrailer straps as well. It's up to you as long as your cargo is safe and secure. Now the bungee cords are knotted together into this mesh pattern. You can see here how wide the pattern is. So if you do have extremely tiny objects, they're definitely going to fit through those holes. And this is more ideal for like your bags and your boxes. Now, one situation I know is going to be really common with people carrying around roof baskets is when you think it's going to rain. Lot's of people like to put tarps on top of their cargo. This is where the netting comes in handy because then you don't have a tarp flopping around in the wind and this will hold it down and decrease that wind noise as was, keep everything safe. Before installing the netting, first, just take a look at your cargo, go make sure everything's buckled down. All the zippers are closed. If you have buckles on your bags, you can go ahead and wrap those around your cargo basket. But after that is all good to go. You can then place this netting around your cargo basket or through on the inside. Just try to be uniform with that and then just hook them onto the bars. The bars on our roof basket here are an inch in diameter. So this is just going to come over them and snap around them and into place. What I like about that design is there is this hole on the end and that's going to make it easier for you to just pull that off and take that net off. My final thoughts about this stretchable cargo net is I think it's a really good economical option for securing your cargo. I see this being very useful, especially if you have a tarp over your roof basket, when it rains. Also, if you're tired of hearing straps flopping around and you want to make sure everything is extra safe on top of your roof. I recommend adding this to your current setup. It's quick and easy to use, and it works amazingly with Rhino Rack roof baskets, but it could also work with your other roof basket options. And that was a look at our Rhino Rack stretchable cargo net for Rhino Rack cargo baskets here at etrailer. My name is Evangeline and I hope you enjoyed the journey..

Good quality and perfect for what I needed. I don’t have a rhino rack basket but it fit my Inno basket just fine.
Well made. Heavy. No problems with installation. Directions are clear. I like the capacity of this basket. The basket is mounted on Rhino aero bar luggage racks on my truck-bed cap. Looks good. Should last until I sell the truck.
Works as advertised. Kind of a p.i.a. to install rubber covers over screw holes. Not worth the effort imho. If I did it again I would use RTV with heat shrink tubing. Included bike mounts important to me. Would be nice if you could mount kayak racks to the tray. Happy with the product
Used this for the first time on my rear cargo carrier recently and was very pleased. Cargo net added extra security for my items and gave me peace of mind that all was secure. You
Easy to use cargo net. Snaps on around the edge of whatever you're carrying that you wouldn't want to see fly away down the road in your rear view mirror.
Sturdy and fits the XTray large from Rhino racks
Does it's job, however, I have had several of the plastic hooks snap through general wear and tear after limited use
Cargo net is sturdy and reliable.
worked as listed

This net does not come with the Tie Down Straps like part # RLN1-RTD4. If you are not using tie down straps that would be a cause for the hooks to snap.
