Note: Do not use for overhead lifting. This load binder is designed to work as part of a complete tie-down system. The overall capacity depends on the safe working load limit (WLL) of the chain(s) that you choose, as well as the capacity of the load binder itself. Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Durabilt ratchet chain binder with grab hooks. Now this ratchet chain binder is equipped with two integrated grab hooks for everyday versatile cargo control. This heavy duty ratchet binder is built for contractors, haulers and drivers who need versatile gear to secure their heavy loads of all kinds. (metal clanking) This has a safe working load limit of 12,000 pounds, as you can see there on the screen.
And the length of our handle here from the bottom to the top is right at about 15 1/2 inches. And this handle is going to give you leverage to add or reduce tension via the dual function manual haul lever. So this is going to allow you to change the direction of ratcheting, and this is easy to use and it's a safer alternative to lever binder models that can have severe recoil. And these zinc-plated half inch grab hooks, they're forged steel. And these are rated up to G80 chain use.
And we have engraved here on these hooks, 3/8 of an inch to 1/2 an inch. So that's the range of chain links you can use with these heavy duty hooks. If you notice the hooks have a flat throat shape that's gonna securely attach to your chains. And so when you have this closed, when you have the hooks fully retracted, we're sitting at about 25 inches. And then when you have this extended, the open length gonna be about 33 inches.
You have a take of about eight inches. That barrel length is about 10 inches. This weighs about 14 pounds. And this high-strength forged steel and oversized barrel screw system is going to handle your heavier loads. It does have a rust-resistant powder coat finish.
It's gonna hold up under regular use. I do want to point out that this is not designed for overhead lifting. These load binders are designed to work as part of a complete tie down system. The overall capacity is going to depend on the safe working load limit of the chains that you choose, as well as the capacity of the load binders themselves. The item being tied down must not exceed the combined working load limit of the lowest rated components in that system. Well, I think that's going to wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
