Note: Do not use for overhead lifting. This load binder is designed to work as part of a complete tie-down system. The overall capacity depends on the safe working load limit (WLL) of the chain(s) that you choose, as well as the capacity of the load binder itself. The item being tied down must not exceed the combined WLL of the lowest-rated components in the system.

Hello neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Durabilt Lever Chain Binder with the fixed J hooks for one-and-an-eighth to one-and-a-quarter inch chains weighing at 375 pounds. So folks, with this mini chain binder, basically you can secure small loads to your truck or trailer by tensioning the chains. Now chains, obviously would be sold separately. If you don't have any, you can pick 'em up here. But basically, those lighter load ratings, this would be perfect for them, securing that small farm equipment or maybe ATVs or something like that.
It's got fewer moving parts. And it requires less maintenance than the ratchet binders and those kind of things. So you'd hook the chains up. When you crank this down, it's going to pull the chain tension tight. Now, it does provide a resistant to corrosion thanks to the forged steel construction and a nice red powder coat finish over the top.
Now, I wanna make sure that you're aware if you never use these kind of things that they do have a tendency to recoil quickly. So whenever you're popping these off, be very careful 'cause that tension built up, this thing's just gonna fly up really fast. So make sure you're pushing it away from you if you can. Or if you're pulling down, just make sure your hands and everything are free underneath it. Now, as far as the length of the handle, I got about nine-and-a-half inches long.
And the take up, that's what we call the part here, whenever it's loose to where the hook comes up, that was about two-and-seven-sixteenths of an inch. Now the whole thing's pretty light, about a pound, pound and a half, somewhere in there. Very simple to use, this is the Durabilt Lever Chain Binder. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
