Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Durabilt Ratchet Chain Binder with Grab Hooks. Now this ratchet chain binder is equipped with two integrated grab hooks for everyday versatile cargo control. A heavy-duty ratchet binder like this is built for contractors, haulers, and drivers who need versatile gear to secure heavy loads of all kinds. This does have a safe working load limit of 7,100 pounds, and let me give you some measurements.
I'm gonna be giving you some measurements of this throughout, but let me get my tape measure here, and I think the best way to do this is go overhead here, and if you're wondering about the length of our handle from bottom to top, we're sitting right at 15 inches. So this 15-inch handle is going to give you leverage to add or reduce tension via the dual-function manual pawl lever, and this is going to be easy and safe alternative to the lever binder models that can have severe recoil, so you can switch that ratcheting direction right here as you can see. This handle does accept a padlock, I think you can see that right through there, so you can run a padlock through there to lock that into place, and then these zinc-plated, forged steel, three-eighths-of-an-inch grab hooks are gonna be rated up to G70 chain use. So it does say right here three-eighths-of-an-inch, if you can see that there. Actually, it looks like on the other side here, it will accept from five-sixteenths to three-eighths-of-an-inch, so just so you're aware of that.
These grab hooks have a flat-throated shape that's going to securely attach to your chains, and then I do have this, let me see if I can put this in the closed position here, I'm gonna screw these hooks in all the way. I wanna try to give you some additional measurements here, and it's gonna be kind of tricky. Let me go overhead again, and I'm gonna try to give you the measurement of what's called the closed length, so I'm gonna be measuring as best as I can here from center-of-hook to center-of-hook, and it's probably not gonna show up really well there for you but we're sitting right at about 23 inches or so when this is fully closed. It's gonna be more instead of center-to-hook to center-to-hook more like end-of-hook to end-of-hook on the inside there, so from inside to the end of the hook to inside, so from here-to-here, inside-to-inside, it's about 23 inches there on that closed length. And then when you have this completely extended, it's gonna be about 31 inches on the open length, it's gonna have a take-up of about eight inches.
The barrel length is right at about 10 inches. This is going to meet or exceed the FMCSA 40, CHP, CBSA, WSTDA, and DOT standards. One final note, you wanna make sure that you don't use this for overhead lifting. These load binders are designed to work as part of a complete tie-down system. The overall capacity is gonna depend on the safe working load limit of the chains that you choose as well as the capacity of the load binders themselves, so the item being tied down must not exceed the combined working load limit of the lowest-rated components in your system.
They're very durable, very strong, I think they're gonna hold up really well for you, and I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Accepts a padlock.I have had 4 of the Durabuilt ratchet chain binders w/multiple hooks for about 1 year now and I will say that they are well worth the money. They give you so many options when securing different equipment, the chain and regular ratchet binders work but are just not as convenient as having the chain incorporated into the binder. I own and operate a demolition/excavation company and haul everything from compact track loaders to dozers and excavators, we are likely to haul a different piece of equipment each day so having the flexibility of attaching to different points that these binders provide has saved me time and effort over the past year. No more digging out your four 20 ft foot chains that hang on everything in the box when you can just grab these 4 binders and be done securing your load in no time.
Very nice heavy duty binder! Have tried other brands that were not near the quality of these.
I actually bought this for a commercial trash compactor to tighten the angle iron that holds the can to the compactor. My order was here in two days and the product works very well! I'm very happy with my purchace

Excellent binders for securing my tractor during transportation. The team at etrailer is awesome. Keep up the great work - I love all the pics and videos.
The item is fine just as expected. Manufacturer should also make these in the lighter 5/16 chain I would be more interested in buying more.
Excellent service ships immediately received my order in 2 days!
Thank you
Customer service and contact from etrailer was excellent. I wish their site had said product was out of stock, but they soon followed up and gave estimates for possible delivery. Because there was a delay, I stumbled across the same product on line and they were happy to price match, so many thanks for that, as I had already been waiting and was happy with the great support at etrailer.
The (4) binders arrived today in a box, with basically no packing and since they were heavy, the box was a little big and it was like they were in a rock tumbler. I like to take care of everything I own, yes they may eventually get scuffed from chains or something, but the nicely painted (thick coat of paint) surface is chipped in many areas and the bare handles feel rough and semi-sharp from the fresh jagged paint chips. I'll get over it, but after everything else being great, it ended in some disappointment on delivery day. I would have rated lower, if not for the great customer support. If I had no interaction with anyone, it would have likely been below average. So keep the great people and just pack a little better. Thanks for all the effort, until packing...
