Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Dometic single zone electric cooler with ice maker. This 56 quart or 53 liter electric cooler with ice maker is going to do a great job of keeping your food and drinks cold without having to worry about the mess of getting everything wet. This can hold about 83 12 ounce cans just to kind of give you an idea of the size. So this cooler is going to be a great companion to have with you on your adventure, such as overland camping, tailgating and road trips, boating and a whole lot more.
This is going to keep your food and drinks cold or frozen again without having to worry about messing around with ice. This single zone fridge and freezer is not only gonna be perfect for those adventures, but I think it's gonna be a great idea to have, if you're looking for like a secondary refrigerator or freezer in your RV, sometimes those, depending on the type of RV or camper that you have, those built-in refrigerators can be kind of small. So this would be a good addition to have just to give you a little bit more room for refrigerating items. Now this weighs about 50 pounds. I was able to get it on the table here by myself without much issue.
And this has a rugged construction. It has these fender frames that protect the cooler from damage. And then we have aluminum alloy handles here that's going to make it very easy to carry this. And as you can see, when you let them go, they'll just drop down out of the way just like that. So you have handles on either side there to make transporting this easy.
If you're wondering about the size of this cooler, I took some measurements before our time together. Measuring the width from end to end, and I'm including our handles here, we're sitting at about 28 3/8 inches wide. The overall height about 18 3/4 inches tall. And then the overall depth, about 17 7/8 inches deep. So inside we have a fully stepped compartment here.
This has a temperature range from - 7 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. And what I like about this is this does have baskets that you're gonna be able to remove. Lemme go ahead and go back to my wide view here, so just so I can show you. So you're gonna be able to remove these baskets and that's going to allow you to easily load up your cooler. You can take the basket to your refrigerator at home, load it up, and then just easily drop that back into the cooler. This basket has a divider as you can see there, so that's going to just give you even more options for organization. And these baskets are coated so they're gonna be very easy to clean. And then we have another basket right here. So you're gonna have plenty of space I think for putting your food and and items in here. And it's also gonna give you that headroom for bottles and maybe like, if you wanted to get like a half gallon jug or carton of milk, you're not gonna have to lay that down. It's gonna be able to stand up. So as I mentioned, this does have a rapid freeze plate right here. So I'm gonna go ahead and remove this basket and give you a view of our freeze plate here to where you can make ice cubes. This does include these silicone ice trays, which is a pretty cool, going back to my closeup view here, lemme give you a closer view of these. So what you're going to do obviously is just fill this tray up with water and then it has a lid here. Once you have this filled with water, you're gonna be able to seal that water in there. You're not gonna have to worry about water spilling when you're placing this back in the cooler. And going back to my overhead view here, you'll just pop those trays into this plate and then you can close that and then this plate can be activated. You don't have to always have that plate on, that freezing plate on, but when you're ready to make some ice cubes, you can turn that on and then that's going to allow you to get that plate cold enough so you can make ice cubes for your drink. So that's a really great feature that this offers. We do have an LED light here. Lemme go ahead and turn my studio lights off here real quick just to show you that this really is effective. It's not gonna really translate over camera, but you're gonna have plenty of light to see inside of this cooler in low light or dark condition. So that's a great feature that this has. And then we do have a plug there at the bottom right there. Maybe you can see it. So when you're ready to clean this out, you're gonna be able to remove that plug and allow this to drain without any issue whatsoever. When you close this, I just wanted to point out, you do wanna make sure that this latch latches. So I found just to firmly press down, that's going to make sure that that latches. So we do have an LED display here that's going to allow you to take care of all the functions here. And so it's currently showing me the temperature setting and that's gonna be kind of hard for you to see there, but it's gonna be very easy to navigate through the menus. I went ahead and took the liberty of downloading the app on my iPhone. So you're going to get a free app for your smartphone, whether it's an Android or iPhone. So as you can see that have this currently set for 39 degrees, but it's registering 37 right now. And you can see it's plugged into AC power. So you're gonna be able to turn on the freezing plate, the ice maker there, I have it turned off, and then you can actually power down the cooler as well. So this app is really a great feature. You can set the temperature. I'm gonna go ahead and set that down to 37. Hit apply and then that's going to kick on the compressor and run that down to 37 and keep it down to 37. If your door's open for any length of time, the app will let you know that. So it'd be a good idea to close the door. So the app is a great feature. We also have a USB-A port here for charging your USB-A devices, so that's pretty convenient as well. You're gonna be able to plug this into 110 vol ac like I have it right now. Actually, lemme turn it around this way so I can show you the ports on the back here. So I've got this plugged in right now to my AC, but then you can also plug it into DC with the included cable. But the cooler really is a, has a rugged construction to it. I think it's gonna hold up really well for you. It's not overly heavy when it's empty. Sometimes refrigerated coolers can be heavy, but I don't think that's going to be the case with this one. And just have a great bunch of features and the app is a plus as well. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
