    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the access panel where your jack is stored in your rear cargo area.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed within the jack storage compartment of your cargo area.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Extremely appreciative of the tech help I got from Phillip at etrailer
Knowledge was spot on with our vehicle and the products needed to install the hitch, wiring, and bracket.

by:

The product was very good BUT all my problems were caused by POOR instructions. They explained how to attach the ground although this one did not have (and was not supposed to have) a separate ground wire.
When I first tested it, the trailer lights worked but not the turn signals or brakes. I eventually learned that the relays have a specific orientation when plugged in although the instructions never mentioned it. There is a dust cover supplied but no mention of it's proper attachment. Even the connection to the car took some head scratching since it's orientation is not obvious.
There were lots of full color photos but no pictures to really show what to do.

2008 Chevrolet Equinox

Ordered and Received Curt trailer hitch and t-connector in no time from etrailer. Since I wasn't ready to install, finally got to the project. Since the threads on the car required rethreading, took a little longer to install hitch. But overall, pretty simple process. The t-connector was a snap, just follow video and completed in no time. Highly recommend both Curt trailer hitch and t-connector.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox

We just bought a 2008 Chevy Equinox to pull our pop up. It has a trailer hitch but no wiring harness. I watched the etrailer.com's video for installing the fuses and relays before I ordered the wire harness kit. Had it completely installed in 10 minutes! I recently bought tire covers from etrailer.com and am happy with their quick shipments and fair prices.

by:
2008 Chevrolet Equinox

This review will be more about the actual purchasing process. Did the typical google search looking for a harness for my 2008 Equinox. Came across etrailer.com and moved forward with the purchase. Easily found what I needed at a reasonable cost.
Placed the order and got things moving. Received a call from the etrailer.com folks asking about the best way for shipping in an attempt to save on costs. Not many companies will make that effort. Had good electronic communication all during the purchasing and shipping process. What really stood out for me was the phone call, who does that anymore in an era of PRESS 1, PRESS 2 automated phone systems. Well, etrailers.com does! Thanks

2007 Chevrolet Equinox

Incredibly easy installation! The package arrived quickly and the easy to follow video made the installation a snap. Thanks trailer.

Still working great. Harness tucks away easily.

by:

For the price you cant really complain. Wire is pretty thin and is easy to cut through wiring when trying to coating off. Lasted around 3 months before wire became brittle. Used on boat trailer. Probably had 20-30 tows before i replaced again.

by:
2007 Suzuki XL-7

Installed this recently on a friend's Suzuki XL-7. The instructions were perfect and the install only took about 20 minutes. The vehicle didn't specify that it had a factory tow package but the connector was there behind the jack access. We were both impressed with the ease of installation and the quality of the product. I would highly recommend this company and their products.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Equinox

Great service from etrailer.com. They were able to provide two day shipping at no extra cost. The wiring harness was much easier to install than expected.

by:

The item was exactly as described the cost was very fair and good compared to others on line. This is a company that has earned the right to use the two words Customer Service in the same sentence. That is not very true of what seems like most business now days.
Thank you etrailer, if I ever need anything out of your product line again, I'm in !!

Chevrolet Equinox

Great price for hitch and wiring. Great videos for install on site too. Wish it came with wirebrush for cleaning holes for n/c.
However happy. Will work fine to pull 2 atvs.

by:
2009 Suzuki XL7

This came in (bonus points for delivering to Canada!) And the install took me about 10 minutes. They have a video for everything its amazing!! Installed it without any issues, worked like a charm for my suzuki xl-7. Couldn't find this wiring harness anywhere locally, couldn't be happier with the overall service.

by:

Easy install. Didn’t even need to remove trim panel. Reach in from jack storage compartment and snap connectors together. Adding relays and fuses under the hood was fast and easy too.

by:
2008 Suzuki XL7

Works perfect - a great solution. The vehicle connector was not on the bottom of the car jack compartment, it was near the top of the compartment and a little to the rear of the vehicle. It was mounted with the connector facing down.

by:
2008 Chevrolet Equinox

Easy to install
The two relays are
able to be installed two ways in the fuse panel but will only work one way
Took alittle bit to figure out why power wasn’t going to the plug
The 2008 equinox trailer relays need to be installed perpendicular of existing relays
Once that was fixed all worked as it should

by:

etrailer has reasonable prices and excellent service. As stated the products I purchased came on time and in tact. I recommend any and everyone to etrailer.

Saturn Relay

Everything went smoothly with the wiring installation. The only issue is with the relays. The markings were not very ledgible. Would help if they were better so that the relay goes in correctly and not reversed.

by:
2008 Pontiac Torrent

Everything great except the package instructions leave a little to be desired. I googled installation of the harness and it was much clearer - overall good deal.

by:
2008 Chevrolet Equinox

Received wiring harness within a few days, connected it with very easy to follow directions. Works great. Thanks for the great product at a reasonable price.

2007 Pontiac Torrent

These relays weren't available locally, and this kit got me running as soon as I installed everything (2007 Torrent). Clear directions. The parts work.

by:
2008 Chevrolet Equinox

Product as described. Everything was included. I just plugged the harness in. Installed the two included relays and was good to go.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Equinox

This was very easy to install, especially the included fuses. Instructions were were very well laid-out and clear to follow.

They have excellent Customer Service, had little issue with getting it shipped but once they did, got here really fast. Will surely be buying from them again

  • Troubleshooting no Trailer Blinkers/Brake Lights with Curt Harness # C56012 on 2007 Chevy Equinox
It sounds like you have installed the fuses/relays in the wrong spot or they have blown. I would double check that all of the fuses and relays are good and in the correct locations as this is most likely what the issue is. I attached an FAQ article on troubleshooting 4-way installs for you to check out as well.

  • Which Way Should Relays of Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness part # C56012 In Fuse Box
Make sure you have the relays installed in the correct orientation. I attached a picture that shows how they should face. As someone who has wired up relays wrong in the past and they still worked once I figured out the correct wiring I can say from first hand experience that they don't short out when wired or installed wrong in most situations.

  • Trailer Running Lights Not Working when Connected to Wiring Harness # C56012
The 3 circuits on the wiring harness, # C56012, are yellow for left turn and brake lights, green for right turn and brake lights, and brown for running lights. This harness also comes with fuses and relays that will need to be installed to make the harness fully functional. Place the relays into position with the sloped side of the relays pointing towards the driver side of the vehicle to ensure the relays function properly. Check the 10 amp fuse in spot 35 to determine if it is blown...

I have attached a photo of the connector on the wiring harness, part # C56012 that is attached to the connector you have in in your 2008 Chevrolet Equinox in the jack area at the rear. The top flatter part of the connector should be facing out toward the center of the cargo area. Reach behind the flat area that has the tab and press down to release the connector while firmly pulling the connector. This should pull right out and allow you to replace the harness with a new part. I have...

It is possible that during the installation of the fuses and relays that something got knocked loose or damaged. I have included a picture showing the relays in the correct orientation. Installation of the wiring harness, # C56012, should not cause the vehicle to not start. If you installed a trailer wiring harness kit on your 2007 Suzuki XL7 and the passenger side window is now not working, the only thing that could have caused this is an error when installing the fuses/relay. Therefore, you will need to review this portion of the installation. If you are using the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56012, the relays will go into the #58 and #59 spots whereas the fuses will go into the #35, #37, and #43 spots. • Troubleshooting Right Turn Signal of Trailer Wiring Not Functioning
Have you tested the pin with the green wire leading to it with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to see if there is voltage there when the right blinker is on? If the right stop light is working but not the blinker on the trailer it's most likely the fault of # C56012. Typically it's a bad fuse or relay that causes this but sometimes it can be that the trailer wiring connector isn't making full contact.
