    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear tire mud flap on the passenger's side.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Thanks for the wiring harness, it was an easy install, plug and route the wiring to the trailer hitch. Sure beats cutting and splicing into the vehicle harness, chasing the wires for identification etc.! Simple instruction included with the location of the plugs to interface with. Best trailer hitch wiring I 've done in 20 years.

by:
1998 Jeep Wrangler

I am an electrical contractor by trade so makings splices is not an issue. I am so glad I purchased this trailer wiring harness, unplug one plug and you are in business and did not have to tamper with the existing wiring harness of my jeep. I taped in a magnet to the wiring harness so when not in use I could Tuck it in behind the bumper.

by:
1998 Jeep Wrangler

‘98 Jeep Wrangler, absolutely plug and play, very simple installation. Pull down the cover behind the rear passenger tire, reach up inside the body to find the factory harness, unplug the connector and plug the new harness into it. Put the cover back over the opening. Did need a drill to run in the new grounding wire but they even supplied the self tapping screw for that. Great product!

by:
2001 Jeep Wrangler

This is the only way to hook up to your vehicle's wiring harness, quicker too.

by:

Very easy to install just connect to the taillight harness and attach the ground wire, 10 minute job. This harness will save you the time and aggravation of a splice in harness.

Wow, I have never had a simpler installation! The quality is great, and in just plugs straight in. Finished the job with the Hopkins Fold Over Mount. Super happy with the final install.

  • What Do I Need To Flat Tow My 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Do I Need Something For My Power Steering
There is a trim level of your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee that can be flat towed. You are able to flat tow a Grand Cherokee model with the Quadra-Trac II/Quadra-Drive II with 4-Lo Range. With regard to the special kit for the power steering, there was a Mopar tech bulletin (08-022-16) that states that if your vehicle was built after February 16, 2016, that kit is not necessary. I recommend that you contact your Jeep dealer for clarification. The necessary kit, if you need it, is available...

  • 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited Flat Tow Wiring Harness for Preventing Death Wobble
According to my contact at Roadmaster, you'll need the 68321424AD harness which you can obtain from your Jeep dealer. The harness will prevent the so called 'Death Wobble' from occurring when flat towing the vehicle. To flat tow your Cherokee, you'll need a tow bar, base plates, taillight wiring, safety cables, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter. For a tow bar, I'd recommend the Blue Ox Ascent, part # BX4370 which includes the safety cables. For base plates,...

  • Recommended Components To Flat Tow 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk W/ 2019 Forest River Forester
I would be happy to go over everything you need to flat tow your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with your 2019 Forest River Forester. Unfortunately the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1143 you mentioned is not compatible with your Blue Ox Alexxa Tow Bar BX7435 due to it requiring base plates with a different bracket spacing, so you will need a new tow bar as there is not a base plate kit available that will work with your tow bar.. I still recommend going with the # BX1143 but instead recommend...

  • Troubleshooting Wrong Trailer Wiring Harness Being Used on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler
You are correct, the Plug-N-Tow (TM) Vehicle Wiring Harness, item # 32625, only plugs into a connection point on the driver side on the vehicles it is confirmed as a fit for. This is because Jeep has already run all the necessary wires to that port for you, so you do not have to run the wires across yourself, as you would have to with other models that plug into both the driver and passenger taillights. The issue you are experiencing is due to the fact that this harness is designed for...

  • Wiring to Flat Tow a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Behind an RV
A wiring harness that is used to power lights on a trailer cannot be used in reverse to power the lights on the vehicle when it is being flat towed. This is unless it is a specially made harness designed for this purpose. There are numerous wiring kits available for the 2012 Jeep Wrangler, see link. The easiest to install that does not require cutting and splicing wires is the Hopkins wiring kit, # HM56200. It will just plug in line with the vehicle tail lights and it has a 4-Way to connect...

  • Is the Mopar Recreational Flat Tow Wiring Kit Needed to Stop Wobble on a 2021 Cherokee?
From what I could find out, the Mopar Recreational Flat Tow Wiring Kit will not be needed for a 2020 or 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. This was only a requirement on a 2014 to 2018 as the issue this was designed to combat has since been rectified. If you have not completed your flat tow set up as of yet, the following will be some recommendations to get you on the road. One of the huge pluses with having a Jeep is they are one of the most common vehicles to flat tow. With that being said,...

I was able to find the owner's manual for your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and it does not mention the Mopar Flat Tow Wiring Harness 68321424AB as a requirement. This is only required for certain years of the Jeep Cherokee. It sounds like you may have seen something in your owner's manual stating that you need this wiring harness. If that is the case you want to follow what the manual says or verify this with the dealer. I also recommend checking your owner's manual and reading the Recreational...

  • Is Mopar 68321424AB Flat Tow Wiring Kit Needed to Flat Tow a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude
Although Jeep corrected the problem beginning with the 2019 model, the 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk will indeed need the Mopar 68321424AB flat tow wiring kit to activate the electronic power steering system while the vehicle is in tow mode. You'll need to obtain the part from your Jeep dealer. To flat tow your Jeep, you'll need a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, a wiring harness to join the Cherokee to the tow vehicle and a supplemental braking system. In some cases, a high/low adapter...

  • Will a Flat-Tow Wiring Harness for a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Work With Trailer Tow Harness
In order to activate the tail lights on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from the motorhome you will need a flat-tow wiring harness, the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 is our best and most popular option for this. It does require splicing but that is the only option available. It would work just fine with an existing trailer tow wiring harness. We definitely have a few options available for your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with LED tail lights. That being said, there isn't one that is specific to the models with LED lights. However, the proper kit will depend on how you are setting the vehicle up to be towed. If you are not going to be using a supplemental braking system, the Roadmaster # RM-154 will get all your lights working. This included all the diodes and 4 Flat plugs needed. As long as you've installed a tow bar wiring kit on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler that allows your vehicle lights to work in conjunction with the signals from your RV, you won't need to add additional lights when you're flat towing. It sounds like you may not have anything setup on your Jeep yet, so I recommend using the Heavy-Duty Magnetic Tow Light Set - Incandescent - 30' Harness # 337TL257M since it is a completely wireless system that plugs into a 4-way connector on your RV.
