    • Tail lights: 5.6 amps per circuit
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within your trunk.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

With the helpful videos this was very easy. We luckily had a car lift in a shop to use. We installed and plugged it in and works great. Now we can go pick up the boat and boat trailer that was given to us.

Thank you etrailer.com! Not only did the hitch I ordered arrive sooner than expected, it was super easy to install...in about 30-40 minutes. The wiring harness took a bit longer, but thanks to the "how-to" video, we got it installed perfectly, didn't break anything...and it works!! We did the complete install in our driveway, without any jacks. Luckily, I fit under the car with more ease than my husband and was able to thread the wiring just like the video showed. By the way, I'm a 64 year-old grandmother and if I can do this, anyone can. The hitch looks great and we are extremely happy with the entire process, from ordering to install. Thanks John, we will definitely recommend you and your product.

Works great! The video really helped on the install and broke it down step by step. I did run short on time at the end and just tapped the 12v power outlet in the back cargo area instead of running the power wire all the way up to the battery. Hopefully it doesn't cause any issues in the future.

2018 Nissan Rogue

Instructions were a little unclear but sufficient. The products are fine so far and seem well-made. I would recommend to a friend. ty

by:

Easy to install, local hitch company was going to charge 800, but this simple hitch is as good as any and easy for a monkey to install.

by:

Easy install. Worked great on our recent 7 week drive to Alaska and back!

Easy to follow instructions. Took about an hour to complete.

This wiring harness for my trailer that fits my Nissan works perfect This not being my first rodeo I have installed numerous wiring harnesses over the years for so many different cars. I couldn’t be happier with this one. It is clearly the best one I have ever seen and used and the instructions were very good and easy to follow. I’ve been using it for quite some time now and still no problems and I have 3 different trailers I use it on. It is a pleasure to plug it in and see that the lights work perfectly every time. That has not always been the case over the years with other ones

I followed the instruction video and everything went well.

2016 Nissan Rogue

My product arrived earlier than expected and the packaging was protective and all intact.

The Curt Hitch Includes everything you need for the installation. Right out of the box you can feel and see the quality. It is a bit heavy so I suggest a helper when you’re ready to lift it up and install the bolts. The installation video was awesome and it even used my year/model Nissan Rogue so everything it showed underneath my vehicle was accurate and there were no surprises. The video suggested tying off the muffler and on my model, and I didn’t need to. All in all, the install was much simpler than I expected and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

The Tekonsha T-One wiring kit (ordered separately) includes everything you need for the installation, down to wiring connectors and zip ties. Quite impressive. I can’t say enough about the quality and thoroughness of the etrailer installation video. It used my exact vehicle so there were no surprises. I used my iPad, watched the entire video to get a feel, and then used pause and play as I proceeded. The only challenging part for me was running the included 12v wire underneath the body frame to the battery. It was an adventure but I got it done. When I was done, the trailer lights lit up and I couldn’t be more pleased, with the product and the support. Thank etrailer for your excellence. Pretty rare these days.

Needed a lightweight hitch and wiring harness for getting a small trailer w/ two kayaks to my favorite fishing holes. Super happy with everything. Would recommend etrailer to everybody that asks.

by:

This was an exact fit, however, I took away a star based on having to run a constant +12 volts from the rear of vehicle to the battery. It seems that there could have been a connector to the brake light wiring for a constant live 12volts.

by:
2019 Nissan Rogue

Very happy with my trailer hitch. Installation of the hitch and wiring was straight forward. Both hitch and wiring videos were very helpful.

by:

My kit got caught up in shipping issues using the free shipping option and didn't arrive in time for a trip. After it sat at one location for four days, I ordered an alternative kit off [online store] this did arrive in time. This etrailer kit just sat in the box unused. for others, just plan on the free shipping option to take up to a couple weeks and you should be fine.

For the kit I got off [online store] I just wired power to the read 12v cigarette adapter and it works great. I store the harness above the spare tire when not in use.

by:

Worked great and everything I needed was included. Pretty good customer service when they follow up a year later to see how I likw it. Definitely good service

by:
2018 Nissan Rogue

The product is solid and the video instructions for both the hitch and wiring was absolutely helpful and easy to follow. It is a sure fit for my vehicle. The time it took me to finish the install and wiring is o/a 2 1/2 hrs. And it is because I did not have a lift or a maintenance bay to go under the vehicle.

by:
2019 Nissan Rogue

I am sure hitch is of good quality as i had this same hitch before on same model of vehicle. But see pics on how it was shipped. No Styrofoam in box to lock-in hitch and the small box with the wiring in with hitch. The hitch smashed box with wiring in it,I hope the controller wasn't damaged. Hitch sticking out of box and powder coating paint scraped of in many areas. This will cause rust on hitch as all the salt from Minnesota roads during winter. I was able to get an install date based on a cancelation. I live in a rural area that has few locations that do installations and appointment is just in time for my first need of my new hitch. Sad a great company and great product has the poorest shipping department I have ever witnessed in my 68 years of life. Hope this review hits home to management. Rule: inspect what you expect of your product and shipping department. Positive note was the video of install and how it looked when installed.

Thank You. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hitch was a perfect fit, undamaged in shipment and this 77 year old installed it alone in 18 minutes. Easy to install and prompt service. Intended for use mostly with a cargo carrier.

2016 Nissan Rogue

I installed the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness on my 2016 Nissan Rogue. The eTrailer online videos covering the installation was great. Everything worked out according to the online video. The biggest challenge was running the cable to the battery. Everything works using the 4-pole flat trailer connector tester. Thanks for a great product that is easy to install.

by:

Here is a picture of the hitch receiver and the electrical plug. My installer decided to keep the plug near the hitch and not in the car when not in use.

Everything fit as described. The only hard part was feeding the wiring thru to the battery. But the video instruction could not have easier.

The shop that installed my trailer hitch couldn't find a wiring harness for my car from their suppliers. After waiting until a few days from my first trip pulling my bike with the new car, I took matters into my own hands and ordered this item overnight from etrailer.com. I got it about 10 am the next morning in great shape. The shop installed it without any hassle, and it works great. From what they told me, it was pretty much plug and play, you just have to run a hot lead up front to the battery. Thanks for the fantastic quick service etrailer!

Worked flawlessly for a year now. Id estimate I use it twice a month or so. I recommend this wiring harness highly.

To install the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118480, on your 2010 Nissan Rogue, you will need to route a wire from the red wire on the harness, under the vehicle (avoiding areas that may pinch or burn the wire), and to the positive battery terminal via the included in-line fuse holder and fuse. • Does the Tow Ready Wiring Harness # 118480 Have to Be Run to Vehicle Battery
Powered trailer wiring harnesses like the Tow Ready part # 118480 that you referenced have to have the battery wire run all the way to the positive post of the vehicle battery. The reason for this is so that the taillights of the trailer won't be putting any amperage draw on the delicate taillight wiring of the vehicle. All of the amperage would be drawn from the battery instead. If you were to power the unit from a 12 volt source like what you mentioned you would be defeating the circuit...

  • Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 2009 Nissan Rogue
Your Nissan Rogue doesn't have the correct brake light setup for you to be able to splice in a 4-way in the way you described. Trailer wiring requires the stoplights and blinkers to be on the same circuit whereas your vehicle has separate turn signals form the blinkers so a converter would be needed. That's reason number one. Reason number two is that the taillight circuits of your vehicle don't have a high enough amperage rating to power your trailer's lights without overloading the circuits....
