Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies and some interior paneling to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because your vehicle runs on a multiplex wiring system, the wiring needs to be converted to be compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

I didn't have a lift so used ramps to lift the car, even though no lift I installed the wiring harness in 1 and a half hours. I"am impressed with the etrailer team and the quality of their products. I will be back for sure very happy customer here
I recieved the products today. The help and customer service has been incredible so far! I will install the hitch and wiring harness this weekend. I will include an absolute honest review with pictures when I am finished !
Perfect fit. Just not give 5 stars as it’s quite “annoying” to instal:
1) removing the taillight is a PITA! Even removing two screws light did not get off! Broke after so much trying. The pressure pins that hold it are very strong and no much place to grab
2) Wiring the power from battery to the back is a hassle! And I’m an experienced mechanic! Took me about 45 minutes to find a way to route the wire (from inside the vehicle as from under will for sure not safe)
Mike L - 07/21/2018I like this product. I was able to install this wiring harness in about an hour. Only thing that took me a little bit of time was running the harness where the brake light is attached to the fender well. It was a booger running that line up, but not something I couldn't do. Took a few minutes to run the black power line from the rear of the car to the battery under the hood, but again, wasn't something overly difficult to do. Just time consuming I suppose. As for the harness itself, it's well made and the connectors snap in precisely. I recommend. Just follow the online video instructions. Easy enough.

Easy installation without having to splice any wires or use a test probe and try to guess which wire is for what just unplug existing vehicle wires and plug in most of the time spent was disassembling the vehicle panels to get to the connectors the video is a huge help I watched it on my phone all along and paused at each step it was very helpful would not want to try without it I highly recommended

I am not a mechanic by any means, with that being said, bought some car ramps and installed the hitch receiver (Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" - 76074). I also installed the wiring (T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - 118698). Took about 4.5 hours but overall look the look and feel. Everything went together great. I watch the video beforehand. I would highly recommend these products.

I installed this hitch twice, first on a ne car that got totaled when a fellow drove into the side of it in a parking lot, The second hitch went on the same model replacement car.
Both times, the hitch, for a KIA Sportage, needed a delicate tap with a 12 pound sledge hammer to spread the mounting flanges before it would slide onto the frame. No big deal, otherwise the hitch is great, ordering was simple, and the customer service was excellent.
Plug and play wiring system-GREAT! Other than the power wire run for the battery to the module (necessary but a pain) the installation was extremely easy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
They should provide wire conduit for the long power wire you have to run to the front of the vehicle.
Would love to give this 5 stars but first this, the wiring, parts, directions, ease of installation, videos and everything was EXCELLENT. However, the length of wire for the trailer connector, from even the closest placement possible (I moved it twice, as close to the hitch as possible while staying inside the wheel well) is just long enough. NO SLACK AT ALL. Needs to be about 8-12 inches longer.
Was easy to put in and the plug in wiring was a snap. Very happy with the purchase. Now I can bring my daughter to college with out having to bring 3 or 4 cars.
I like the T- 1 Vehicle wiring harness Iplan to use it to pull my trailer , I like the way itplug,s in so I dont have to splice nothing
