Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind the access cover at the center of your rear bumper.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into OEM tow package harness - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.Everything arrived in a timely manner and well packed. The install videos made installation easy. Only took an hour or so. The wiring harness for the trailer lights was correct which made that super easy. Towed my boat the next day. I would definitely recommend Etrailer.com
Excellent quality connector plugs into factory harness and locks in place. Quality four wire pigtail and flat connector make for a nice wiring harness.
Shipping container was partially opened when received. Several pieces of hardware was missing. Finally spoke to someone after having to wait approximately 30 minutes after calling and put on hold. Person at etrailer.com was pleasant and placed an order for the missing parts.
High quality product at a great price! Came in only 3 days and free shipping as I also purchased a hitch. I would buy again from these guys, fantastic service!
Very nice quality. Installation was a snap. Video very helpful. I chose to use a step bit to enlarge the hole. Took two seconds. This is my second hitch from George. Great prices, excellent shipping time. I chose to cut the bumper cover to reinstall. Looks more trimmed out and intentional.
This wiring harness was very easy to install as the GMC Acadia came prewired with an adapter.
Plugged right in and worked perfectly. No issues whatsoever on my 2017 Cadillac XT5. Plenty of length to the wires and clear instructions.
This harness fit perfectly, installed easily and worked fine.
This item works perfectly
Excellent quality! I am looking forward to installing it.
Product arrived in three days. Perfect fit for my vehicle. Simple, plug-in installation, nor fishing of, or splicing of wires. I have used this company in the past with the same great products and services.
Make SURE you do the wiring before you put the hitch on!
It's the only way you'll get both hands on the wiring to pull the cap off.
Plug and play. Can’t get any easier
The fast service was great, I’m having it mounted on the 11th. The price was great compared to the dealers price, thank you very much
Excellent product and quick delivery. Installed hitch by myself in a half hour
Wiring harness was exactly what the description said it would be and installation directions took exactly zero brains to follow. Perfect product.
Fantastic. The entire process from purchase to delivery was flawless. My order was also extremely easy to track online. I'm now a fan of etrailer.com. If you ever need a testimonial for a commercial, I'd happily do it for free!
The Curt hitch cost a bit more than the Draw Tite, but I am drawn to "made in USA", which Curt bragged about, and Draw Tite doesn't mention..(ie made in China).
If you look at the pictures of both hitches, you can see that the Curt hitch has a considerably larger cross member, which, I feel, can account for at least 1/2 the difference in cost.
I was sold on etrailer because of their excellent video on you tube. The installation went without a 'hitch' (ouch!). The video was very accurate and explains everything extremely well. The only difference for me was that I did not have to enlarge the 'fishing' holes; mine is a 2018 XT5, and the holes were plenty large for the bolts and doublers. I also installed the Tekonsha 118720 wiring harness, which amounts to simply 'unplugging a dust cap, then plugging in the harness' - there is absolutely no reason for this to take more than 2 minutes....(it took me 5).
As many have noted, the hitch is pretty heavy (I'm guessing 40 to 50 lbs). The weight is not such a problem, except that it is also pretty awkward. What worked very well for me was to not raise the car at all. Where the cross tube, and the receiver tube meet (middle of the hitch) is braced with a large, flat plate (safety chain eyelets) this wide plate is ideal to set on a floor jack, and the hitch balances very well. My wife 'manned' the jack, and I rolled around on a creeper guiding the hitch into place. The 'fishing' wires are long enough that they can be passed through the hitch's bolt holes while the jack is still low. Keeping the wires tight as the jack is raised guides the hitch right into position. I had to 'wiggle' the hitch a little as it passed in between the muffler and the bumper cover, then I was home free!
I didn't really time the procedure, but I would estimate about an hour, start to finish. Not bad for a "mid 60's, fat, out of shape, fella" & his 60(ish) wife!
My trailer lights use the round, 6 pin connector, so I made a bracket that bolts to the cross tube, and holds the 6 pin receptacle. I then cut the 4 pin fitting off the wiring harness, and connected the wires to the receptacle.
Also, I didn't care for the idea of having to keep up with a 7mm nut driver, so I decided to install "Southco 1/4 turn wing fasteners".
Those last two projects took almost a whole day (including nap time!)
I attached pictures of the finished project. Probably doesn't show much..I didn't take pictures as I went.....& I'm not going back!
Installing this kit was no small feat. It required disassembly of the rear bumper and taillight assemblies, as well as snaking the wiring - intelligently - all the way from the back to the front. However, once installed it's been performing admirably for over a year and 10k miles of towing.
This 4 pin connector was an exact fit for my 19 xt5. There are two plugs under the bumper that look similar. Once you remove the cap to the plug that this plugs into on your cars harness which isn't hard you plug in this 4pin into it. The length is great as well. It's literally plug and play. The 4 pin has a rubber boot that hooks onto the saftey chain anchor on your hitch and covers the 4pins when closed, this is probably the best feature. No more dragging it down the road accidentally.
Exactly what I needed for a 2018 GMC Ac adia.
