Specs:
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located at the rear of your vehicle. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the body harness up to your car battery and connect the wires per the included instructions.
Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 7-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a 2-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's 3-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located near the steering column, through a grommet in the engine compartment.
This adapter requires no hardwiring. It is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller for the simplest installation possible. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.

This is the only product that I could find that could do that. I also paired it with a redarc brake controller and had to add the redarc diode to prevent the error message as others have described. My buddy owns a car repair shop and between the two of use it took about 7 hours to install at his shop. We did do a factory looking install under the hood and also ran the wire thru the rear hatch for the boat trailer surge brake release feature. It was a lot of work and removing many interior panels of the vehicle. all of the wiring is inside the vehicle or under the hood except for the trailer pigtail. Not exposed to weather or salt. Have used it many times and works great. Glad I went thru all the trouble and wouldn't do it any other way
If you follow the video this is super easy to install. Iv never done anything with my vehicles electrical and I was able to wire this up and install the hitch in one after noon.
With the video, this has been super easy to install.
That being said, there were two small (but annoying) hiccups.
1. The self tapping screw was smaller then the hole on the ground wire, so I had to fasten it through the metal rather than the hole. Easy for me, but some folks would have been stumped. That doesn't reflect well when you order the "complete" wiring package.
2. The ground pin on the 7 way plug wasn't glued in properly, so it kept getting pushed in when I tried to plug it in. I managed to get it clicked in properly (I think). We'll see when I test my brakes tonight!
I’m one year in and haven’t had any issues with it. It works great. I can’t remember how good the installation instructions were but I got it figured out so it couldn’t have been that bad.
Good product install takes some time and I had to get a little creative on some mounting as well as the ground bolt
great harness, worked well
Everything was good. It was a bit time consuming to install on the Sedona, but it all worked out well.
Installed and working great.
