AJ: What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be checking out in the CargoSmart X-Track Shelf Bundle. What this comes with is four pieces of this X-Track. You see it all on the back wall here, and eight board holders. That way you can make your own custom shelf in your trailer. The shelf system is really going to help get that stuff off the bottom of your trailer and up here and organized.
You can add two more shelves and get that much more stuff up and out of the way. When you're going to pull some of the fun stuff in and you have to move the little stuff out of the way, and it takes that much longer to get it in there, tying it down and hit the road, this way, you'll keep all your stuff up here, and even keep it organized. I thought that was pretty cool.You're not just screwing a shelf to the side of the trailer either. I mean, the board holders have screw points where you can add in and fully secure that. It's not popping out or anything.
It's not haphazardly popped in there. It's really structurally sound.Something else I thought was really cool about the X-Track system is how customizable it is. So let's say I decided I was going to add my other shelf here. When I go to load up my stuff and there's not enough room in between the two shelves, the stuff I wanted to get up off the floor, isn't going to fit. Well, it's not permanently mounted.
You don't have to rebuild an entire shelf. You just come back, you lift your self out of there, take out your board holder, and just move it up a notch. It's that easy.Then you drop yourself back in on the top. You got more room to get your cargo up there. Or maybe you don't even need a middle shelf.
Maybe you just want to move this up to the top because you got a new toy that you have to pull it up closer here, and you need more clearance. You have all those options.Another reason it's not just a shelf is the options for the X-Track. You can add a tie-down loop in the same track, that way you can tie down whatever your cargo is up here. So if you have something a little heavier and it's going to slide up here, we got a lip on the end of our shelf built-in. But if you don't have a lip or don't want to do that, you can put one of these tie-down rings, and then tie down your cargo, that way you don't have to worry about it moving or slide or anything. With this ring on here, I want to show how tough it is. I'm pulling out on this track and it's not even cracking or anything, so you can be sure it's not going anywhere.We saw how solid the X-Track was when I was pulling on that loop, showing you it wasn't going to come off the wall. But you're probably wondering how durable is it How much weight does it hold too It has a safe working load limit of 667 pounds, and a breakpoint of 2,000 pounds. That's going to give you plenty of options when you're loading it up.I think this bungle's awesome. It really helps you organize your trailer, plenty of options for other stuff to strap it down, like I said, and nothing's permanent. You can always move the shelves around as you need. So if you really want that customer experience of doing what you need, when you need to do it, this is for you.Let's see how it installs. With three of the X-Track tracks installed, I'm going to show you how to install the fourth one here. Now, it doesn't come with its own hardware, so you're going to have to find your own. We decided to use wood screws for this installation. You can see we went ahead and marked here where we want the center to align with our piece of X-Track. I'm going to use my foot to hold up the bottom to line it up. You can see we've got that yellow mark in the center of the attachment points. But you want to also make sure the top lines up with the extra board we added behind it, for spacing. That looks good there. So now, I'm going to hold it in place. Got one in. It looks like it's pretty even with the top. And then I'll run this screw in now too.With the top two screws in place, holding the track, I'm going to kind of do a zigzag pattern and attach the screws like that. We're going to go all the way down the track, that way it's firmly secured to the side of the trailer. All right, one last one in there and we're ready to add our board holders. All you have to do when installing this is pull back on this pin here, and put the top end first, slide the bottom in, let go of the clip, snap it into place. You don't have to worry about that popping back out.Now we're ready to add our shelf. We had this made beforehand, to fit the front of this trailer. The boards should slide right into the hole. There's all four of them. Let's give it a shot. I've got an extra set of hands. Joe is going to help me. They're all in. Using the open spot here on the side, I'm just going to go and run some screws in just to keep the shelf in place, that way if we hit any bumps or anything it's not going to pop out of the holder. With the shelf installed, we're done.I think it was a pretty easy installation. The hardest part for me was lining up the track on the wall and making sure it stayed level as I put that first screw in there. And then you can kind of adjust from there, add that second screw, and then you just go down the line. That's pretty easy. There's not a lot of moving parts, and I think it's a great addition to your trailer, helping to get your cargo up off the floor, up here nice and organized, not to mention all the other options and stuff in here to strap stuff down.That about does it for our look at the CargoSmart X-Track Trailer Shelf Bundle.

The track is well-built, very solid as are all of the hooks and brackets. However, I do wish all the e-track accessories would clip on a bit more firmly - they all seem to "wobble" quite a bit. With straps and ring hooks this isn't as much of a concern but with the hooks and such I would prefer a more solid mount

Use these to strap my Spyder wheels and Teryx wheels to my big Tex utility trailer . The method allows suspensions to function on trailer without abrading finish or straps loosening. Love the system. Also use for heavy duty/ versatile hanging of tools,etc in the garage. Highly recommend . Will buy more for my other garage.

Product works as advertised. The problem is poor quality control. I realize etrailer is basically a fulfillment center that simply resells merchandise. That said someone had to put the initial order together in order for it to be shipped. Many of the pieces came with virtually no galvanize coating on them. This is an aesthetic and does not affect product function. I originally reached out to their customer service and was initially told that they would provide me the name of the manufacturer so that that I could take it up with them. WHAT? I told the CSR that they had to be kidding. I bought the product from them which makes it their problem with the manufacture not me. Finally, after several emails another CSR responded and actually contacted me offering to adjust the price for the defective items. She asked me for pictures of the affected items which was not an unreasonable or unfair request, unfortunately, I was in the middle of a cross country move and the cargo trailer was completely packed and I was unable to get her pictures. After repeated additional attempts to contact her I gave up since my move was more pressing than this problem. I would not recommend etrailer due to their poor quality control and lack of customer care. What they forgot to realize in this whole exercise is all this becomes moot if when the order was packed the defective items don't get packed. All items were packaged separately and should have been easily identified as not up to par. That said, I have not used this vendor since and would caution anyone who is considering doing business with them to find another source for their needs.

I have a 14 foot flat roof trailer, and live in New England where snow gets wet ad heavy. I searched the internet for solutions, but nothing available. So I used your x-track vertical and e-track wood beam sockets to build an internal ceiling support system to prevent the roof from sagging under the weight of snow. After spending much time looking for solutions on the web, and coming up empty, this simple solution occurred to me.

Excellent product and allows for both horizontal and vertical attachment of accessories (unlike e-track). Easier to install than I was expecting, however since I have a cheap trailer with very thin walls I had to attach the tracks to the metal support beams which necessitated me drilling additional holes in the x-track as predrilled holes did not line up. A regular trailer with 1/2" or 3/4" thick plywood walls would have alleviated this small hassle. No installation hardware so be sure to pick up self-drilling screws of the correct length for the thickness of your trailer walls. Very happy with the set.

Does not fit e track fittings from the Same or different manufacture in most of the slots. The slots were too tight on about 60% of them and hat to be bent or ground out bigger. It took an hour for each 8ft piece to fix before installing. I will never buy this again.
