E-Chock Being Installed on E-Track

E-Chocks help stabilize race cars, hot rods, ATVs, UTVs, and other wheeled equipment that's tied down in your truck bed or trailer. And unlike other wheel chocks that have to be permanently installed, these wheel chocks can be quickly and easily moved to different anchor slots on horizontal E-track (sold separately). This means that you can easily adjust your setup depending on what you're hauling. The spring-loaded levers on the E-track fittings let you snap the wheel chocks into place and then remove them when you need to install them into different anchor slots. These chocks are perfect for use with E-track tie-down straps (sold separately).

The Erickson E-Chocks are well built and a great size for what I do. I often have to move disabled cars around and I can quickly pull a car up on my trailer with the winch to the chocks, and then move it where I need to without strapping the car down. I wouldn't drive down the road that way. I use them on the road to prevent the cars from shifting forward during braking and haven't had any issues with them.

by:

Received these today and put them in my enclosed trailer and they snapped into theE-Track just like they were supposed to, then I pulled my 2022 Slingshot in and right up to them and strapped the Slingshot down and hit the road. When I got back home and checked on the Slingshot it hadn’t moved at all, that was so much easier than bolting a 2x4 onto the floor of my trailer to use as a chock. I wish I had found these a lot sooner and it would’ve made transporting the Slingshot or any of my vehicles a lot easier and faster. This is an amazing product.

The E-track is fantastic so far with absolutely no problems whatsoever, I love it and use it almost daily basis. For the most part I use it to strap down my Slingshot and spare wheels but other times I’ve used it to hold furniture, tools, totes or pretty much anything. They’ve been a lifesaver for my trailer trying to find a way to strap things down. Whoever designed this system sure helped the needs of a lot of customers.

Mike the e-track was well worth the price I paid for everything and it all worked perfectly for me the entire time I owned my trailer. I unfortunately sold my trailer this year but if I turn around and purchase another trailer you bet I will purchase another e-track system for it. Thanks for everything

@JohnC Perfect! We're glad it worked well while you had it!

Great design with Extra Heavy Duty steel, for securely locking into E-Tracks. A great asset to lock down any wheeled vehicle or equipment! I absolutely love this heavy gauge steel trailer chock.

by:

At first, a bit tricky to fit into our CargoSmart system but I was finally was able to get them in place. Seems to help stabilize the golf cart in the trailer going down the road.

by:

Over the years I have purchased several items from etrailer.com. The products perform flawlessly, the customer service and communication exceed my expectations, and the website is very easy to use. Start with etrailer for your next search regarding towing and load securing.

I had to modify it to work with my recessed E-Track by cutting the edges back. They work great now and once I load the car in the trailer and set the chicks, it is an easily repeatable load

by:

I had to grind a bit off the bottom corners because my E-Tracks are recessed but after that they work great.

by:

does the job of keeping my car from banging around the trailer if the tie downs loosen. Also leaving the front set in place permanently makes it simple to put the race car in the same place every time.

One nit: one of the chocks of 4 was not perfectly assembled before welding and a little grinding on an ear was required to make it click in properly.

by:

They work as advertised.... The chocks combined with a single strap over the tires hold the vehicle in place.

The E-Track functions well but the black anodized finish looks gray and oxidized. I would suggest buying the galvanized version for others. The wheel chocks and the single strap tie downs work well. The straps are easy to put on and they hold the vehicle securely. Im pleased.

by:

Convenient. Easy to use. Stable. Great purchase along with e track and wheel straps for side by side.

by:

These are the best wheel chokes available in my opinion! Very pleased with them.

by:

Heavier , Taller & Wider than expected...
moveable in e track , can easily find that soft spot...
... find the center of trailer AND adjust tongue weight ..
... nice and a great price ...fast ships !

Haven’t had a chance to use them...car trailer sitting idle ...??

by:

I bought 4 of them but I only really needed 2. I put them in place on the track an pull my vehicle tire up against them and use the single strap tie down that goes over the top of the tire. The combination works well.

by:

Works as advertised. I will order from etrailer again.

Yes the E Track works as advertised.

by:

They worked perfectly for the applicati on

by:

Heavy duty and nice quality. Will use two at the front wheels. Welding is known to warp and twist shapes with the heat(and cooling). Neither of my chocks fit into the e-track as the bases on both chocks were warped from welding. I would guess all the others in stock bear the same issue. Some coaxing with a hammer is needed to insert these into the e-track. Once installed, they will work well. Carry a small hammer!

by:

One of the E-chocks would not engage with the e-track. On comparing it to the one that did fit, it was apparent the grove on the one side was a sloppy weld that would not allow the grove to engage into the track. After spending ~30 minutes grinding and filing the grove to open up, it would lock into the track.

by:

well built, easy to use and lock in solid.
I
use these in my enclosed trailer so my rzr is in the same location each time i load it to make sure the trailer tongue weight is correct.

by:

Awesome, great way to safely transport my CForce 1000 overland

by:

Like these as stops when parking Polaris Ranger in trailer for tying down.

by:

We would have given these 5 stars but they don't fit in the tracks very good. We had to bend them to get them in the track.

by:

This product will only work with E-trac that is flush to the floor or above. If your E- trac is recessed it will not connect. Other than that it appears to be a good product.

by:

They seem heavy duty and of good quality, but a little pricey for what they are. also there's absolutely no reason to put large poor quality stickers across the entire wheel chock that don't want to peel off! I have better things to do with my time than waste 20 minutes trying to remove stickers. That's ridiculous!

by: 06/02/2023

Overall good product. Had to file down one edge of metal so it would snap into the E track. Sloppy cut left extra metal.

by:

Just got product have not had time to use it. Fast service quicker than I thought.

by:

This is my second set of Erickson E-Chocks. I have one set in my car hauler and this latest set in my garage/camper combo. I can set the E-Chocks at the sweet spot for the right amount of tongue weight. Just pull the car in until it stops and strap it down. These also allow me to pull the suspension down to remove some bounce while towing. Fast service from etrailer. They are my go to for all my trailer needs.

  • Weight Rating
The manufacturer does not provide a weight rating for the Erickson E-Chock Wheel Chock for E-Track, # EM09162. These are designed with overall dimensions of 8-1/2" long x 6-3/8" wide x 4-1/2" tall and to be used with a tie-down strap. The purpose is to provide a wedge/stop point of tire while the strap or wheel net holds item in place.

  • Single Erickson E-Chock Versus Kit
The cost of the Erickson E-Chock Wheel Chocks for E-Track - Powder Coated Steel - Qty 2 # EM09162-2 and the single # EM09162 vary from the manufacturer. We adjust our prices based on the manufacturer to attempt to keep the cost the lowest for all our customers. They are the same product, so whichever is a lower price at any given time would be my recommendation.

  • Available Erickson E-Track Wheel Chocks
Erickson offers only one size of E-Track wheel chock which measures 8-1/2 long x 6-3/8 wide x 4-1/2 tall. This is offered as a single chock under part # EM09162 and as a pair under part # EM09162-2. Erickson does offer a wheel chock and tie-down kit for ATVs, part # EM09160, which uses bolt-on chocks that attach directly to a trailer's deck (not to E-Tracks). With your finished floor setup this might be a better option.

  • Can Erickson E-Chock be Used on a 1994 Land Cruiser with 37 Inch Tires
You could use chock # EM09162-2 with a wheel strap such as # EM58523 but considering the size of the tires on your 1994 Land Cruiser rock crawler I would not use this as the primary method of securing the vehicle to the trailer. I like the idea of using the chock as a chock and still using axle straps much better.

  • How is the Working Load Limit Calculated on the Erickson EM58523-09162-4?
I spoke to Erickson and they were very informative. That being said, the Breaking Strength and Working Load Limit will be the same for every manufacturer with the basic rule to ensure safety of 3:1. So with the # EM58523-09162-4 having a breaking strength of 3,300 pounds, the safe working load is therein 1,100 pounds. I did also ask if they had anything similar to these in a higher capacity, but they do not have anything at the moment. The e-track connections do limit the maximum weight...

Good question and the 2,000 lb working load limit (WLL) of the Erickson Horizontal E-Track such as the 5 foot # E19148 is the safe limit for the weight of the cargo the track is helping secure. To simplify, it is the cargo capacity that the track can safely handle so you do not want to exceed it.
