E-Chock Being Installed on E Track

E-Chocks help stabilize race cars, hot rods, ATVs, UTVs, and other wheeled equipment that's tied down in your truck bed or trailer. And unlike other wheel chocks that have to be permanently installed, these wheel chocks can be quickly and easily moved to different anchor slots on horizontal E Track (sold separately). This means that you can easily adjust your setup depending on what you're hauling. The spring-loaded levers on the E Track fittings let you snap the wheel chocks into place and then remove them when you need to install them into different anchor slots. These chocks are perfect for use with E Track tie-down straps (sold separately).

This is an interesting idea take some time to find the right spacing and you can't Mount them with the four wheeler in place so you have to mount them then drive over them if you want to eliminate any slack between your tires and the chocks. There are little discrepancies between each one and how they snap into the e-track where one fits perfectly the other one requires a little Force but I was able to get all four to lock into my e-track DC cargo brand. We'll see how they hold up as I'm leaving them in place and will be driving over them to load the four wheelers so it'll be interesting to see how long they last or if they change shape with the four wheelers driving over them over and over again. Seem pretty strong and they are the only company that makes something like this that can snap in and out of etrac.

The Erickson E-Chocks are well built and a great size for what I do. I often have to move disabled cars around and I can quickly pull a car up on my trailer with the winch to the chocks, and then move it where I need to without strapping the car down. I wouldn't drive down the road that way. I use them on the road to prevent the cars from shifting forward during braking and haven't had any issues with them.

I sent a message to contacts asking for information, no one ever replied. "I'd really like to make my e track more versatile. My Wife and I bring ATVS and Mountain bikes. Your accessories provide no way to mount mountain bikes. i imagine one of your I don't know what your call the mechanism that clicks into the e trac that would have a flat platform that accessories from other companies could be bolted to. In my case it would be mountain bike mount like this Hot Rod from Rocky Mounts. https://rockymounts.com/products/hotrod.html

Once you have a platform that locks to your track that could be bolted to aftermarket stuff the possibilities would be endless. I'm going to have to modify one of your attachments to do what I need Thank you, Fred Judson"

I won’t do business with this company again.

I have gotten in contact with both Rocky Mounts and Erickson Manufacturing. They both have confirmed that the Hot Rod will not attach to the e-tracks as desired. Per Paul at Rocky Mounts; all of their bike mounts will only fit "key tracks" and "L-tracks". Unfortunately, they do not have any options that will fit on the E-Tracks. I also reached out to Kristin at Erickson Manufacturing, and she has confirmed that they do not have any actual bike mount style clips that will connect a bicycle to E-Track. Her best suggestion was using a ratchet strap; so, I found a solution that should work for your mountain bike set up on the E-Track. I recommend using a Ratchet Strap like part # 3481768, that will connect directly to the E-Track. The way you would make this work, would be to wrap the strap around the base of the seat on your mountain bikes. You will also want to install a motorcycle chock, like part # 3481731, on the front wheel of your bikes to ensure stability.

Can't wait to give them a try. They seem pretty sturdy. They are BRIGHT yellow. Etrailer.com got them shipped pretty fast. Thanks Guys!

by:

Received these today and put them in my enclosed trailer and they snapped into theE-Track just like they were supposed to, then I pulled my 2022 Slingshot in and right up to them and strapped the Slingshot down and hit the road. When I got back home and checked on the Slingshot it hadn’t moved at all, that was so much easier than bolting a 2x4 onto the floor of my trailer to use as a chock. I wish I had found these a lot sooner and it would’ve made transporting the Slingshot or any of my vehicles a lot easier and faster. This is an amazing product.

The E-track is fantastic so far with absolutely no problems whatsoever, I love it and use it almost daily basis. For the most part I use it to strap down my Slingshot and spare wheels but other times I’ve used it to hold furniture, tools, totes or pretty much anything. They’ve been a lifesaver for my trailer trying to find a way to strap things down. Whoever designed this system sure helped the needs of a lot of customers.

Mike the e-track was well worth the price I paid for everything and it all worked perfectly for me the entire time I owned my trailer. I unfortunately sold my trailer this year but if I turn around and purchase another trailer you bet I will purchase another e-track system for it. Thanks for everything

Use them to place the 6x6 in correct place on trailer for securing for transport.

by:

Great design with Extra Heavy Duty steel, for securely locking into E-Tracks. A great asset to lock down any wheeled vehicle or equipment! I absolutely love this heavy gauge steel trailer chock.

by:

My e-chocks work great. Only thing about mine was I had to trim a little off for mine to fit inside my e-tracks. Other than that great product.

by:

Works as advertised. I will order from etrailer again.

Yes the E Track works as advertised.

by:

Outstanding wheel chocks. Sturdy and very well made. A great level of extra security when using with tie downs.

by:

Perfect fof SxS hauling with e-track and ratchet straps. No wear on the suspension.

by:

Absolutely horrible quality. The weld on this product appears to be done by someone that has never touched a welder before.

I know that these chocks will not be the prettiest however the welds should be good. Would you be able to send a picture of them so that I can look into this for you.

Jayson

2/20/2024

@JennyN To compare apples to apples….if you bought a brand new car and noticed scratches and dings all over it after your purchase, how would you feel if the salesman looked at you and said “that has nothing to do with how the car drives”. I am a machinist and I take pride in my work. I follow iso standards along with QS13485 (medical), AS9100 (aerospace), and TS16949(automotive). Yes, your productive is operational, but it is a very sore sight to the eye.

@Jayson I have had our warehouse team take a look at our stock and they are welded in a similar manner. I am sorry as I do not have another brand to offer. For e track wheel chocks Erickson is the only brand we carry.

by:

Doesn't fit the e track very well.you have to force it to fit in and clip to the e track correctly

by:

Heavier , Taller & Wider than expected...
moveable in e track , can easily find that soft spot...

... nice and a great price ...fast ships !

Haven’t had a chance to use them...car trailer sitting idle ...??

by:

I had to use a grinder to remove some metal in order to get them to clip into the etrack. Not very good quality. Also I have a low car (2021 Camaro ZL1 1LE) and these are a little too tall. They hit the front splitter.

by:

Couldn’t be more happy with the way these work. They have been so awesome.

by:

Would have been 5 stars but I had a little grinding to do, due to a factory welding error. Other than that, they do exactly what I need, added security to a strapped-down racecar.

by:

Nice steel wheel chocks

by:

These look like they will work great in my enclosed trailer.

by:

Exactly what I needed.

Great product!

by:

They do what they need to to keep the car from rolling forward or back

by:

Product is exactly as described. And shipped faster than I thought possible. They even followed up after delivery! Great product, but awesome customer service. They seem to go above and beyond.

by:

The fit is a little tight. Need to “encourage” the chocks to seat. Beyond that a good product.

by:

Very nice product and easy to use!! Does exactly what I need them to do!!

by:

Heavy duty and nice quality. Will use two at the front wheels. Welding is known to warp and twist shapes with the heat(and cooling). Neither of my chocks fit into the e-track as the bases on both chocks were warped from welding. I would guess all the others in stock bear the same issue. Some coaxing with a hammer is needed to insert these into the e-track. Once installed, they will work well. Carry a small hammer!

The Pack'Em Wheel Tie-Down Kit for Truck Beds and Trailers - 30" Tires - 800 lbs # PK-WTD is a great option for a versatile system. Another option is to use E-track like # EM19147 and # e96RR. I spoke to Erickson and they were very informative. That being said, the Breaking Strength and Working Load Limit will be the same for every manufacturer with the basic rule to ensure safety of 3:1. So with the # EM58523-09162-4 having a breaking strength of 3,300 pounds, the safe working load is therein 1,100 pounds. I did also ask if they had anything similar to these in a higher capacity, but they do not have anything at the moment. The e-track connections do limit the maximum weight...

Good question and the 2,000 lb working load limit (WLL) of the Erickson Horizontal E-Track such as the 5 foot # E19148 is the safe limit for the weight of the cargo the track is helping secure.
