Today we're gonna take a look at this CURT Custom Fit fifth wheel installation kit with the gloss black finish base rails for your Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Now this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks without the OEM prep package. And on a custom-fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this kit here is a complete installation kit, allows you to install a fifth wheel to your truck bed.
The kit will include everything shown here, the custom fit mounting brackets on the side here, the base rails, all the hardware you need for installation, and a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. Now the custom-fit brackets, I do want to zoom in on those. There's a shot from the other side. You can see these custom-fit brackets are designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and they provide the attachment points for your fifth wheel rails. These do have a black powder coat finish on them to resist corrosion.
And what's nice is they provide a custom fit by mounting to existing holes that are in your vehicle's frame. You can see the holes in these brackets that'll line up to that. This will minimize the amount of drilling that's required when you install it. So it will cut the installation time in half when compared with some of the universal bracket kits that are out there. Now we mentioned the base rails right here.
These base rails are what'll sit in your truck bed and allows the installation of your fifth wheel trailer hitch to your vehicle. These rails are visible in your truck bed.
