Love these and "multipurpose" lives up to their name. I use these mostly for my Kayak paddles and push poles for my Autopilot 120 to keep from having to break the paddles down during transport and even broken down take up space in the rear of my Jeep Wrangler. Rhino Rack has a winner with these
This is exactly what I was needing for my 2023 Nissan Pathfinder. I was going to install a clunky awning but decided to make my own with these. When I need to put my my awning, I’ll just strap in the pole and extend it out. Plus there’s no hassle of having to get out the screw driver and Allen wrench to remove it when I’m done. I was very happy to see the RR came with security screws for the added comfort that someone wouldn’t just come along and take them off the rack.

I asked etrailer if this universal mount could be mounted on the cross rails and if the cradle could be turned so that any long object could be mounted parallel to the cross rails. Gregory from etrailer promptly responded, so I ordered these mounts. Arrived in several days and they were easily mounted onto my Rhino cross rails. The cradles were unscrewed and placed into the proper position. I test fitted the mounting unit with one of my shovels and it fit nice and tight into the cradles.
These are an awesome rack. We have a 2018 MDX and we can’t run a large box on top. My son’s skis are too long for the box now. With the rhino rack, I can mount his skis next to the box!

Despite being a bit pricey, the universal mounts offered a perfect solution for my transportation needs that I was unable to find anywhere else. They were easy to install and even easier to use, and the design offers solid points of attachment for the associated cargo (sailboard masts).

The part was obviously returned. More screws than needed and not correct screws. Flat washers tell the tale of mash beyond flat, missing plate that holds the mount to the bar. Good thing I only needed one of the pair.
All items were delivered quickly and as ordered. I would definitely order from etrailer again.
Rhino-Rack Vortex 2500 with legs, pads and accessories. Arrived quickly. A 70 year old man assembled and installed in about an hour and a half on a humid 90 degree day. These products appear to be of excellent quality and seem to be more than adequate for carrying a 15 foot fiberglass canoe on our 2011 Buick Lacrosse. Rack offers good flexibility for adding accessories. The wife says the aero shape is way cool!

I have had this for over a year now holding up good no issues. Have used it mainly for rods but will hold shovel and other things.
