Aluminum and steel alloy construction is sturdy and eco-friendly.Great hitch and perfect fit. Attaching the inboard bolts is tricky. You’ll need an articulating ratchet with low profile socket or wrench to hold the nut while you unthread/thread and torque. Other than that, it’s very straight forward. A second set of hands is a big help too. Highly recommended!
Hughes - 04/01/2021Perfect, does everything it claims. I already had tow hooks on the front of my truck so it was just a matter of removing 8 bolts and nuts holding them on and installing the trailer hitch receiver.
Perfect fit. Looks really sharp. Took less than 1 hour to install. Shipping was fast. Under a week.
I first contacted etrailer and received great customer service. They answered all my questions and gave me a few suggestions base on my needs. I ordered two items from etrailer, Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver (306-X7900) and Winch Mounting Plate (6495). Upon arrival one item was missing and once again contacted etrailer and got it resolved. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. My missing item arrived within a few days.
The hitch received is great. The welds are fantastic and it looks even better on. I ended up spray-painting the bolts before installing to blend in with hooks/truck. Made it easier just to do a small touch up and not worry about the over spray.
The hitch itself appears to be of excellent quality. However, the hardware was not individually packaged and appeared to have been loosely tossed in the box. As a result, half of the hardware was missing due to holes in the box. After 4 months of patiently waiting for this hitch, had to purchase additional bolts/nuts/washers from local store. Recommend that hardware be packaged and sealed so that it cannot fall out during shipping.
Received with all the nuts for the 12M bolts missing. Very hard to find replacement nuts in my small town.

Hitch seems to be well made, very pleased with the quality. It was easy to install. Directions were clear and easy to understand.
Haven't used it yet but based on previous, similar products, the mounting location of this one seems better than those.
The front receiver was easy to install and looks great on my Ram 2500. I received the front receiver in a timely manor.

I like the build quality of this front mount design. It fit just right on my 2017 dodge and now gives me the ability to push my trailers forward into place.
Very well built, good welds and craftsmanship on it. I use it for a rack that holds my Honda EU2200i a 6gal. Gas tank and a 8500lbs winch and I have gone across country, on dirt roads and a lot of beach driving and no issues at all.
The product came to me very quick and was packaged well. Great hitch, it was very good quality. I wasn’t able to use the hitch because I was doing a 4th gen bumper swap on a 2nd gen Dodge. I was hoping for it to be a bolt on application but it didn’t work out that way.
Was simple to install on my 2014 Ram 3500. Use a hitch inserted into the receiver to give yourself more leverage and prevent a mashed finger. Seems well made.
Was easy to install once my 6 year old helped me put on 4 annoying bolts. You need a small hand to fit up there or a socket w/ tape.
The problem is that Torklift is marketing this as a solution for front mounting bike racks. Which is true, you can put a 2 inch receiver bike rack into the the mount and it works great until you put the actual bikes on. They sit so high up that it obstructs your view and it's worthless. I wouldn't get this if you plan on using a tray bike or Moto rack solution. On my Ram it simply sits way too high. Would give you great ground clearance for a winch or a cargo basket, just not bikes.
