Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this TeraPump Electric Fuel Transfer Pump for 55 gallon drums and IBC totes with a rechargeable battery. This electric pump is going to let you transfer fuel from your 55 gallon drum or IBC tote to your tractor, truck, and other equipment. It is going to be perfect for garages, shops, yards, farms, and even at the dock. Now, this pump is going to work with liquids such as diesel, DEF, AdBlue, non-potable drinking water, kerosene, antifreeze, windshield washer fluid, mild detergents, agricultural chemicals, and light oils. However, I do wanna point out that this is not compatible with gasoline, drinking water, or concentrated acids. Now, just turning this around here again, wanted to show you this drum buttress adapter, this is going to be very easy to grip, making it simple to tighten up or loosen, and we have an adapter here that's going to fit various drum bunghole, so you can pretty much be assured that you're gonna wing to get a secure fit on your drum.
This also features a telescopic intake tube. Now, I'm going to zoom out here just a little bit, so you can get a better view of it. So this is telescopic, and when it is at this length here, we're sitting right at about 33 1/2 inches long, and then to extend this, you're just going to loosen this nut here, and then that's going to give you the ability to extend this pipe, and when it is fully extended as I have it here right now, it's gonna be about 49 inches long, so you do have a range from about 33 1/2 inches to 49 inches with this intake tube, and the diameter is sitting right at two inches. And if you noticed, it does have a stainless steel end cap that is going to help filter out debris out of the motor, preventing damage to your pump. Now, the nozzle handle with the swivel nut is going to provide 360 degrees of rotation to prevent the hose from tangling up, and this rubber discharge hose is very flexible, it consists of four layers, and its oil, flame, and cold resistant, and this high grade polyester construction as I mentioned is indeed very flexible.
Now, I showed you briefly this built-in holster that we have here. As you can see, the nozzle can be easily removed from the pump itself, but when you are done using this, we have a built-in holster that you can just set it there, and I wanted you to see that we have a wire metal catch there that's going to, when you replace the discharge nozzle, is just going to sit there in that hanger, so it's not just going to easily slip out, so that's a nice feature of this pump. Now, the discharge hose length is a little over 79 inches long, and the flow rate when you have this plugged in to electricity is going to be 7.1 gallons per minute, and then when you're operating it from battery, it's going to be a little bit lower at 4.2 gallons per minute. Now, as I mentioned, this does include a battery, it's rechargeable, and it is a lithium-ion battery, and it's going to be very easy to remove the battery to charge and then to put it back into the pump. I wanted to point out, there's a little battery indicator there, so that gives you the status of the battery when you push the button, and then it's gonna be very easy just to pop this back into place just like that, it clips right into place and it is secure.
Now, a fully charged battery can discharge up to 238 gallons, and it does take about three hours to fully charge. This also includes an electric plug, let me show that to you right here, And that is going to insert into a standard 110 volt AC wall outlet, so if you don't wanna use the battery and you want a little bit higher of a flow rate, you can plug this directly into an AC outlet. Now, this also has a power switch, and you just flip it on, and when you have the pump on, just squeeze the nozzle handle to control the rate of flow, and then when you're done, release the handle and turn the switch off. I just wanted to mention and you might already know this, it's a good idea when you're done using your pump to kind of lift the hose up a little bit and let the contents, the fluid, whatever you're transferring, kind of drain back down the hose, back down the pump into the drum, so you don't have whatever fluid you're transferring kind of stuck in the tube and just sitting there. I mentioned this power switch, we do have an LED indicator here to let you know when the pump is on.
You can't see that light probably from that distance, but there is a light there, and it'll light up red when the pump is on, and then of course it's going to turn off when you turn the power off. Now, the pump head dimensions itself, measuring from where this is actually going to be sitting on top of the drum all the way to the top, it's about 7 1/8 inches tall, the overall width is right at about 4 1/8 inches wide. Instructions are included to go over the features a little more in depth than we did here today, and then also, to make sure that you're operating this pump the way that it was designed. Well, that is going to conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
