This pump is as simple to use as a commerical gas pump. To start siphoning, just flip the switch on the powered pump head. Squeeze the handle harder to increase the rate of flow as you pump, and back off to slow it down. A simple twist of the handle locks it into place and allows for continuous flow of liquid without the need to squeeze. When you are done pumping, simply release the handle and turn off the device.

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at these Tera Pump fuel transfer pumps. This particular one is going to attach to either a 15, a 30 or a 55-gallon drum and be a good way to transfer a variety of different non-corrosive liquids such as gasoline, diesel, DEF and other liquids that it is approved to be used with. Let's check it out. With this particular version of the pump, there's a few things to keep in mind.
We've got this option that's going to be powered by a lithium ion battery, and then there's one that isn't battery operated. It'll actually have a plug on the top you can plug directly into the wall, so depending on what you're looking for, you can go for either option. They are gonna function the exact same way though. And then with the battery powered and the non-battery powered option, there's going to be versions that have an inline flow meter. That flow meter is just going to tell you how fast the water is flowing or whatever liquid you have going through.
We've got water today, but again, both of those function the exact same way. Just one has a flow meter, one doesn't. So the reason I say other liquids that it is approved to be used with is because the internal seals here are designed with those liquids in mind. There's other versions of this pump that it'll attach the same things, but the internal seals are different to make it work with things like ethanol. So if that's something you need it for or you aren't sure exactly if the liquid you plan on using this with is approved for it, just check out the product page and find the right one for you.
If you are going to be using it for a variety of different things, definitely thoroughly wash it out beforehand just because you don't want any sort of cross-contamination. Realistically though, I think if you get this, you've got one thing in mind that you intend on using it for and if you've got a second one, then just get a second pump. As far as using it goes, you can flip it to the on position. You'll hear the pump turn on. Nothing's gonna be flowing out quite yet because we do have the trigger and this does swivel around so I can walk over to our bucket to just try it out and pull the trigger and get the flow going.
It does go at up to 4.2 gallons per minute, which is pretty fast, and it's working really well right now. In the top here, we have this handle that can be flipped around to hold that trigger in the on position. So you can do it hands-free or if you want to, you can ease off of it to slow the flow so you don't have to have it on full blast all the time. And after about 30 seconds of use, our five-gallon bucket is pretty much halfway filled, maybe a little over halfway, so that 4.2 gallons per minute, definitely something I believe and it's working really well. When it's not in use, the handle does have a hook on the side so it fits perfectly on our drum, or there's a spot on the actual pump to hook it there too, so it's ready to go and it's out of the way. Nothing's gonna drain out of it whenever you turn it off. Disconnecting the hose here, I am curious to see if any residual liquid is in the tube so I'm just gonna unthread it and carefully just keep it up and take it over to the bucket to dump it out. So after running some liquid through it, I can probably change my grip a bit here to better drain it out. There is a little bit of water left in the tube, but nothing crazy. So depending on what you are running through here, if you ever take it off, just be careful of that. As far as how it attaches to the drum, this threads on right here. I can undo it to remove it. And inside we've got a telescoping rod for the intake. You can loosen it up at the swivel right here and either compress it or expand it, depending on the size of the drum you have. The intake is at the very bottom right here with a stainless steel mesh filter. And then for our larger drum, we'd have it in probably the most expanded position all the way down to the bottom where it will then just thread in to the opening. If you get the version of it with the battery, you can check the charge level by just pressing the button on the back and it has an LED indicator to show you the approximate charge level. You can remove it and recharge it back here with the included cord. A fully charged battery can move up to 238 gallons and fully recharges in three hours. If you've got multiple versions of this pump, let's say you've got the one that can pump ethanol instead of this one that can't, the battery is interchangeable. So they are universal in that aspect within the other options. And, overall, I think this works really well. I think whether you're on a farm, a garage, a shop, anywhere where you might be having these large barrels and needing to fuel things up, this is gonna work really well. The hose is more than long enough, it's 79 inches, so it can reach from the drum to wherever you need to go. So if you need something that's somewhat mobile and able to fuel things up or just move other liquids, I think this is a really nice option, and I think it's well designed. Thanks for watching.

Easily transfer fuel from your 15-, 30-, or 55-gallon drum to your tractor or equipment with this ergonomic pump. Pump uses a rechargable battery for when you're out in the field. This is a versatile product. I use it about monthly. The only problem I've had with it is that the extension is a bit difficult to adjust. Overall-Very Good!
I love this device however I wish the intake part would fit a five gallon jug but it only fits a 15 gallon or larger. Otherwise great tool.
Excellent service, great products, fantastic follow up by sales rep to verify that the products ordered did actually fit and great quality.
Thank you very much Etrailer. Nice to deal with such a reputable source.
Used the transfer pump about six times before the "off" button stopped working and gas overflowed onto my driveway. etrailer took it back for a replacement under warranty and when I never received the replacement, I contacted them. They mistakenly processed the return as a refund and not an exchange. Due to this, I had to pay for the second pump to be delivered, the original was a gift from my kids. I am hoping I have better luck with the replacement pump. My past experiences with etrailer have always been positive
I like it. It is used to fuel my farm tractor. It was very hard to get the can up onto the tractor and pour it. This pump is so nice I just set the fuel can on the floor board and the nozzle reaches the fuel tank. I should have bought this product years ago.
The pump works well.
I transfer diesel into my JD tractor that has its tank about 6’ off the ground. The only issue I have is the screw on filter is too large to fit into some 5 gallon cans.
Great product. Excellent service and timely tracking.
Very good experience.
I've used this pump for over a year to fuel my two tractors. Works great although the material it's made of feels flimsy but so far it's been good. Only other complaint is I wish that it had a screen that would fit at the siphoning in so as not to suck up any unseen debris that may have settled at the bottom of the fuel can.
Works very well! Much faster than using the no-spill nozzles and holding the gas can up. Wish the hose was 12" longer.
I have only used it once. It moves quickly and the auto-stop is pretty great. Now I'm hoping it will hold up over time.
Great product. Fills quickly. Exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this fuel transfer pump.
Having problem with on button to get it to turn on
This pump works well and saves me from spilling a lot of diesel and gas. Not to mention not having to lift the jug. This is my second pump.
This is a great transfer pump, well made, works as advertised. Simple to use and fits all my fuel cans
This is the best. I’ve also given 1 of these to 2 of my friends and they rave about them.
I use these for lawnmowers, weed whackers, Ranger and snow throwers. It’s like pulling up to a gas station and filling up. It also prevents spills. Well you can spill but it’s designed Not to. 5 Stars!!!
works well, no more lifting gas tanks up a ladder to put into my boat!
Excellent product and excellent delivery time and excellent condition once again if the 2 D size battery packs would have arrived it would have received a 5 star for the overall review
This transfer pump has worked out well for filling my equipment without fuss or mess.
Good product, I am 85 yrs old and rehab old tractors, can’t hold a 5gal gas can up on one anymore. This is a great product.
Works great! Saves hoisting up a heavy fuel can and waiting for the safety nozzle to very, very slowly empty the can!
This pump works great. A unbelievable help in fueling.
just what i was looking for
pump works great and is fast and i really like the auto shutoff
works great
I'm sure there are better devices out there, but the important thing is that this one works well, as promised.
