Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the TeraPump Fuel Transfer Pump for Gas Cans

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Tera Pump fuel transfer pump for gas cans. This battery-powered pump is going to let you transfer fuel from your gas cans to your mower, boat, ATVs and more. It's gonna be perfect to have on hand in your garage, your shop, have for your yard, farms, docks, and even your campsites. Now this pump is going to work with non-corrosive liquids such as gas, non-potable water, kerosene, diesel, or light oils.

It is not compatible with drinking water, thinners, solvents, hot liquids, acetone, benzene, creosol, ethyl, phenol, methyl ethyl, concentrated caustic liquid soda, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, or sulfuric acid. Now this pump is going to work with a variety of containers and the included three adapters that you see here on my table before me. They're gonna fit most standard North American plastic gas cans. Gonna work with racing jugs, VP racing, Mr Gasket, Midwest Can, No-Spill Can, Scepter, and Briggs & Stratton GarageBOSS cans. Now I do happen to have some different types of cans here.

I have a Midwest Can here and just to show you how easy it is to use this adapter. This one is going to fit very nicely and snugly. And once you have the adapter on you're just gonna take your intake hose and insert it through the adapter and then fasten the joint nut tightly on this adapter. So this is a Midwest Can. Just to give you some other examples here, I have a Blitz can and I believe the same adapter is going to work.

So yeah, that's gonna give me a nice snug fit. It goes right on those threads. I also have a can from TSG. Let me see if this one will work. That one fits as well.

So as you can see, it's going to fit quite a selection of cans. Now this one, let me zoom out. I have a RotopaX gas can here. And for this, I don't need an adapter for. This, the pump is going to fit directly on. So as you can see, just gonna tighten up the nut there and that's going to give me a nice, secure fit. This also kind of gives you an idea of what this pump is going to look like on a gas can. So, very convenient, very easy to use, and you're gonna have a lot of flexibility with the different types of cans that you can use. Now going back to our closeup view of this pump. Looking at the intake hose, this measures right at about 18 inches long and the diameter is about 1 3/16 inches. And so I don't think you're gonna have any problems fitting this intake hose in virtually any gas tank. I do want to point out that this will not fit FMD gas cans. And we have a locking clip on our discharge hose that's going to secure the nozzle on your receiving receptacle providing a hands-free experience. And then when you're finished, we have a built-in holder here in the pump that you can just simply secure the discharge tube to. So that'll be out of your way. Now the discharge hose length from end to pump, we are sitting right at 39 inches long. This has a flow rate of 2.4 gallons per minute. And this has the power buttons here. The power buttons on the water resistant cover is gonna allow for easy operation and the auto-stop sensor is going to stop the flow when the tank is full. So you're not gonna have to worry about accidentally overflowing when you're transferring your fuel. Now the hole in the pump head, which is inside of our holder here, that's going to prevent leaks and the airflow is gonna stop the fuel from continuing to siphon when the pump is stopped. Now, four AA batteries are going to power this and allow the transfer of approximately 250 gallons over their lifetime. However, in a pinch, you can use two AA batteries to power this unit and transfer up to 125 gallons. Batteries are not included with this so if you don't already have batteries we do have AA batteries here at etrailer.com. This is going to meet the high safety standards of ANSI, UL, CSA and NSF. And just some dimensions of the pump head itself. The overall height from top to the end of our joint nut here, we're sitting right at about 3 1/4 inches tall. So this is gonna be sitting about 3 1/4 inches high from the gas can that it's going to be secured to. And then the overall width is gonna be sitting right at about 4 1/4 inches. Instructions are included to walk you through the features and make sure that you're operating this as intended. And that's going to conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Used the transfer pump about six times before the "off" button stopped working and gas overflowed onto my driveway. etrailer took it back for a replacement under warranty and when I never received the replacement, I contacted them. They mistakenly processed the return as a refund and not an exchange. Due to this, I had to pay for the second pump to be delivered, the original was a gift from my kids. I am hoping I have better luck with the replacement pump. My past experiences with etrailer have always been positive

I like it. It is used to fuel my farm tractor. It was very hard to get the can up onto the tractor and pour it. This pump is so nice I just set the fuel can on the floor board and the nozzle reaches the fuel tank. I should have bought this product years ago.

by:

I have only used it once. It moves quickly and the auto-stop is pretty great. Now I'm hoping it will hold up over time.

by:

Having problem with on button to get it to turn on

This pump works well and saves me from spilling a lot of diesel and gas. Not to mention not having to lift the jug. This is my second pump.

by:

This is a great transfer pump, well made, works as advertised. Simple to use and fits all my fuel cans

by:

This is the best. I’ve also given 1 of these to 2 of my friends and they rave about them.
I use these for lawnmowers, weed whackers, Ranger and snow throwers. It’s like pulling up to a gas station and filling up. It also prevents spills. Well you can spill but it’s designed Not to. 5 Stars!!!

by:

Works great! Saves hoisting up a heavy fuel can and waiting for the safety nozzle to very, very slowly empty the can!

by:

I purchased two similar products - one for gas & one for diesel. They have both been great overall. These are so much easier and better than tipping the can to pour into funnels into our farming equipment.

by:

Just what I needed! Works great!

by:

Just what the Doctor ordered!

by:

Was very happy from time I called to make order to time I received order. Will definitely use again.

Excellent product and customer service!
