When you are trying to pour highly flammable fuel, the last thing you want is a big spill. The self-venting system on this gas can is designed to prevent that. It ensures a smooth flow of liquid flow without the "glug, glug, glug" experience that you get with other cans.
The vent is located on top of the handle, underneath the yellow trigger, and it must be kept open for liquid to flow from the jugs's spout. To open the vent, simply press down on the back of the trigger so that the front part of the trigger raises up. Because you don't have to tip this jug to pour - just position the flexible spout at the angle you need - it'll be easy to hold the trigger in place. As soon as your reservoir is full, just release the trigger and the flow of liquid will stop.
When handling a flammable liquid, safety must be a priority. Filling a fuel can seem straightforward, but a little spilled fuel and a spark can have disastrous consequences. SureCan's safety fill cap can prevent potential accidents. When you want to fill your jug at the pump, just pull back the top and stick the nozzle in the hole. Don't worry about forgetting to scew the cap back on and spilling fuel, because the spring-loaded top will snap back in place when you remove the nozzle.
When you stick the nozzle into your jug, you will push past a rubber barrier called the Flame Mitigation Device (FMD) or flame arrestor that is built into the cap. The FMD stops flammable fuel vapors from escaping and prevents flames or sparks from getting inside the can. Such a simple device can really make all the difference when fueling up.

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the SureCan gas cans. We're gonna have a five gallon version and a two gallon version. Let's check 'em out. What sets these apart from other gas cans, we've all seen the normal type that you just tilt over to pour, is that this one has the nozzle at the bottom so you don't have to do any awkward tilting anymore. It's way easier to get that last few drops out of the bottom of the gas can than trying to tilt the whole thing over, and you can really control the flow of it by hitting the trigger up here, which releases the gas.
So that's gonna be way easier than just tilting it all the way up and trying to monitor how much is coming out. At the same time, you can control it, stop it when you need to, and not spill or waste any gas. The spout on the side rotates 180 degrees, so you don't have to worry about tilting the gas can in any weird or awkward angles. We're down here at the lawnmower. I'm gonna show you an example, little bit of a comparison of how a regular gas can works.
You see, you got it, the spout's on top. So we pop this open and pour the gas in this way. So that means you do have to tilt it, and you have to do the controlling. So as I pour this or tilt it over, more gas is gonna come out. I gotta make sure to regulate that.
What's nice about the SureCan gas can is that it has the spout at the bottom. So I'm gonna grab the five gallon one. So it's not gonna be as awkward because we have the spout down here, so I don't have to do any awkward tilting. I can just put this right in the gas tank. Then I have a trigger up here that I'll push on to release the gas.
So then way easier to control than just tilting the whole can over and back. Both the five gallon and two gallon can have a nine-inch hose with a built-in flame arrester, so that's gonna be good for if a fire was to start, it's gonna keep that flame from getting in the can and causing any more problems. Overall, I do like the SureCan gas can. I like all the extra features added onto it that a normal gas can doesn't have. The 180 spout, that way I didn't have to tilt it awkwardly when filling up the mower. I just moved the spout then hit the trigger and then that lets the gas flow. Once I let go of it, it stops the gas flow, so I don't waste any gas. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped.
