Pair with existing outer tube for a secure, easy-to-use gooseneck coupler.The insert came, shipping was fast and packaging excellent, but here's the rub, it will not fit into the sleeve. It looks just like the one that slip out and the hitch part looks super, but it is probably a sixteenth in circumference too large. Will not fit into the sleeve without lot of grinding. Grrrrr!

My f800 Ford has a tall hitch height . This allowed me the extra distance I needed to tow my trailer . Very low profile .

great product recommend to anyone needing a goose neck coupler easy to center easy to lock and to unlock from towing vehicle ball i use on a bw hitch so this coupler raises high enough to connect on a higher ball
There is not a locking load bearing pin manufactured to Bulldog's knowledge that fits these types of tubes. People usually steal the trailer and not the tube (unfortunately for me the idiots stole my tube and not the trailer). Standard coupler locks are 1/4" shank usually, and the end of the load bearing pin has a .20" hole for the retainer pin. Bulldog sees no reason why it couldn't be drilled out to support a 1/4" coupler lock that will fit on the end of the 3/4" diameter load bearing pin.
I have not yet performed this modification of the load bearing pin, but will upload pics once complete.

Russell - 01/16/2022Replaced my old one with this on my 20k GN as it was getting hard to unlatch.
This one also helps with hooking up with the large opening and you can lock it with a padalock. The latch design is easier than the old style and easy to tell if it is latched or not.
I bought a dump trailer that had a 5th coupler on it. Switch to a gooseneck for the weight capacity and this has been a great coupler. Easy to use and holds tight. Pulled a lot of weight with it with no problems or damage. Would buy again if I needed one.
Michael S - 04/22/2020I needed this to get the goose lower on my lifted flat bed. My old tube had a partial double collar and could not get it any lower. This fit, has a great latch and no double collar. It arrived covered in surface rust, wish they came at least metal etched primed. Fast shipping as always from etrailer! Thanks!!
It worked out perfect I like The way it latched
This tube/ball hitch gave me the additional space I needed to lower the front of trailer to level. The locking handle is easy to use with one hand, no more of the two hand strand to release coupler from ball.

Great design. More adjustable because it lets you slide it all the way up to the latch, which means you can get it 7" higher than a conventional style gooseneck coupler. It's concave shape allows it to slide onto the ball easier also.
Wish it was made in America.
Very pleased with our BX1 coupler. We had put in new springs on our Ford Superduty which raised the truck bed up 4+ inches. The coupler allowed us to keep using our horse trailer and maintaining the trailer close to level. Shipped to Ontario Canada in short time. Whenever changing the coupler height, be aware of the spacing between the floor of the gooseneck and the top of the truck bed.
Wish this coupler had come on the trailer when it was built. It is easy to hook up and lock. Really like the grease fitting, it keep the coupler loose and also keeps the ball lubricated.
Installed to lower the nose height on my horse trailer. This was my only option and am quite pleased with it. I pull an Elite 4 horse with a 19' living quarters behind a Peterbilt 335. The truck has a trailer saver air hitch. The latch mechanism just clears all the way around and is truly a one-hand operation. Very happy!

Doug - 03/30/2019I was in a bit of a hurry for the gooseneck coupler to use for a trip to Colorado. I got it in 3 days which counted the day I ordered it. It was exactly what I had ordered and fit my trailer as if it was original equipment. It was also the most economically priced.

You can tell this is very well built/designed, great product for hooking up a gooseneck trailer. If you watch the video of the product, it seems to be the best designed coupler with the most ball contact.
This gooseneck hitch is exactly what I was looking for. It fit right into the existing neck on my horse trailer. The latching mechanism is great! I can now hook and unhook my trailer by reaching into the bed without having to actually climb up onto the truck.
