Note: If your truck's suspension has a stabilizer in between the top of the differential housing and the frame, turning over the ball and stowing it in the socket could cause damage to your truck's suspension.
With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.
The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.
When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.
Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.
Simple, Custom Installation
This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 3-1/2" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.
Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.
B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

Fantastic product!! Hardest part is drilling the holes in the frame for safety chain loops. Remove the spare tire for ease of access and have several swivels and extensions for mounting.
Once installed, performs as promised. Perfect fitment in a 2022 Ram 2500 short bed. Used it for my fifth wheel for over 800 miles last year with no concerns. Ready for more this year.
I would recommend bed removal for the easiest install. I did it with bed on and it was tricky. Especially when torqueing the bolts down. But it’s possible.
Like others have said, this hitch would be that much better if the safety chain u bolts sat flush with the bed.
Great instructions and videos make installation easy. This is a high quality hitch - solid and strong manufacturing make towing easy, without a heavy standard bed mounted hitch. Combined with an Anderson Ultimate Gooseneck, makes for an easy , lightweight alternative.

This is my second B&W GN hitch from Etrailer. 1st is over 2 years and this one is a year. Both have worked almost flawlessly. Only issue I have is that the ball release latch on this last one is really difficult to get to stay latched open to turn the ball.
Product came on time and all the hardware was present ! Install time took a little longer than predicted. The only downfall was the hole in the truck bed was off a little from the hitch. But overall not bad !
This B&W hitch preforms perfectly, my Companion Hitch slips right in and away we go, also it was very easy to install with having the template for the ball cut out, I also hook right on to my goose neck straight ball. Release mechanism works great. I keep a little lubricant applied to help it from seizing up when I'm not using it, awesome hitch, I've had a B & W Hitch for 24 years in two different trucks.
High quality just as expected. Been flawless in its use thus far. B&W has and always will be my go to for trailer hitches.
The hitch is the bomb…. Most of the time the ball is tucked away and completely out of the way, but if I need to tow, it’s over and ready to tow in a minute or so…. No problems with the function and no rust. Great product..

This product is of high quality build, easy to install and looks good whether from above in the truck bed or from below the chassis frame. I haven't used it yet but looking forward to trying it out!
This thing is awesome!! Well designed and can be installed at home. I have not towed with it yet but that will change soon. Would state that two things, 1st torquing this to spec will require the right tools. Second make sure you have a new/ sharp hole saw. When installing mine I had a used while saw that walked a little. Just a cosmetic issue and the spray in Berliner will fix!!

Only way to go! I have used this with my Reece Goosebox and love it. With over 4,000 miles pulling and 9,000 miles on the truck total I have not complaints at all. Would recommend to ensure you grease the ball every time you hook up!!
Was actually surprised on how easy it was to install. I took a little time to go over the instructions and step by step had it done in 4 hours. The hardest part was getting the handle bolted together due to limited room on my power wagon.
I couldn’t be more happier with the product I received. After I got the template in the right place and hole cut out everything went smooth with the installation of it. 100% good quality
I installed this gooseneck hitch in my truck so I can use my single point mount B&W Companion. This installation was a little different since the truck has the factory prep package. The factory gooseneck uses four vertical bolts that go down from the top and cannot be removed without raising the bed. I left those bolts in place and reused the factory nuts and used the four B&W bolts in the horizontal positions. It worked perfectly. The only problem I had was the left front vertical mounting bolt hit one of the handle bracket bolts so I had to make some minor adjustments to the handle bracket. I also did not install the B&W chain hooks because I have the puck mount rings if I need them. The B&W gooseneck hitch appears to be much more heavy duty than the factory setup.
Works as advertised. Straightforward with installation, takes a few hours to install if you are handy with tools. After a year of hard use, still works well.
Worked out … Perfect upgrade to the factory system. I hated having to remove , and place the covers in the bed. Now that the safety chains are closer to the center I can load boards and stuff that I don’t want in the trailer in the bed without having to rearrange everything. Only thing is the safety chain hoops are little thicker than the bed ribs and stick up. So it’s not totally flat..

Good solid receiver. Straight forward install. I am a fairly competent mechanic and it took me about 3 1/2 hours to install. Bolts right up to factory crossmember no drilling cutting or welding to frame required. You’ll just have to zip tie a few wires out of the way. I would recommend removing the drivers side fender and soapy water on the exhaust hanger will make things a lot easier. I’m happy with how flush the receiver is in the bed completely flat With no obstruction of bed space at all. I did not install the chain hooks and i only plan on using it with my recon companion style fifth wheel hitch. The install was made a lot easier with a curved wrench as shown in my pictures.
Best gooseneck hitch by far. I wish I could get them OEM installed when I purchase new vehicles for my fleet.
2019 Ram 2500, Cummins, w/o factory prep. Love the versatility and easy installation of the B&W 1320 turnover ball. Installed it by myself with the only the tools listed in the instructions. E-trailer's instructional video was spot on and very helpful. Can now pull gooseneck as well as drop in the companion hitch and go camping.
Need proper tools and mechanical aptitude to complete installation and a helping hand but great hitch for my 5th wheel hook up

I used a clamp to drill the pilot hole. Everything lines right up. B&W is a great product.

This one is a little harder to get the ball to lock in when I take it out. I don’t take it out often but when I do I have to hit the top of the ball to get the pin to slide back in.
