With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

Excellent hitch for maintaining full access to your bed when you aren’t towing. Solo installation took about one afternoon. I recommend using a hole saw for the 4 inch big hole and a step drill for the safety chain bolts. The hitch bolted to existing factory holes in the frame as advertised. I was impressed that I could still buy something that fit like this for my 1995 F-250.

by:

1997 ford f250
Works great, except the
turnover part, the ball hits the sway bar. Install was not as easy as stated but that's probably because the kit was more of a universal fit for my truck and I had to do a lot of drilling.

I still have no complaints about the work ethics of this setup.

Awesome service as always from trailer and the staff.

Perfect fit!

4th conversion on same truck regarding fifth wheel hitch - this is cats meow - love the flush bed floor w/ball inverted and got rid of the nasty bed mounted receiver which was always in the way. Am sticking with this setup for good. Pricey item but sturdy. Its a DIY install but not for the faint hearted.

I have purchased several B&W products over the time and the quality and durability of B&W is why I will always purchase their products. All my pickups have had B&W turn over hitches and campaign fifthwheels. Great products.

I have had nothing but an outstanding experience with your company. I had ordered the incorrect item at first and had no problem exchanging it for the correct one. The only thing I think that needs to be improved is how to determine if you have helper springs, I found the info. under the Q&A tab

Everything worked out great the only problem is the handle to pull the pin out is not long enough to go outside the wheel well so I had to add three more inches onto it other than that great product thank you very much

by:

I purchased this to pull a 25Ton GN trailer with heavy equipment and so far it works great! Good price point and reliable product. I would highly recommend this product and trailer. Thank you!

by:

A very good product, I used a warn cable winch to lift the center hitch into place it worked very well, I couldn't quite hold it and work with installing fasteners. The only problem I found was the hitch pin mounts need to be unfastened to get the frame bolt in and tightened. the bolts need to be inserted and nuts started and then after the frame bolt is installed the nuts can be removed and carefully set the hinge pin up over them and reattach the nuts. I have a 2024 and there is a box gusset on the cab side that makes it impossible to put the frame bolt in from the cab side holes. Be sure you clean the frame mount holes and use a lubricant to make it easier to get the nut studs in them. I did mine on the shop floor, you become a reptile for three hours.

This is my 2nd B&W turnover underbed hitch that I have purchased from e-trailer. Price was good, shipping was fast
and the hitch works absolutely great, and it was easy to install.

by:

Great hitch! I'm a pretty avid do it yourselfer so I did the install myself and it was relatively simple. The directions that came with the hitch had all the information I needed. It works well with my trailer and the quality seems to be pretty good. It's pretty low profile while you're not using it as well. Overall very happy with it. A couple of install notes for squarebody Chevy, GMC trucks which is what I installed mine on: You will need to lift the bed off the frame just enough to slide the hitch between the bed floor and the top of the frame rails so if your truck is rusty like mine, you may want to have new bed mount hardware on hand before you start in case you have to cut the old bolts to get them out. Also, the safety chain loops land right on the ridges in the bed floor so they don't recess completely flush even when they're not in use but so far it hasn't been a problem for me. I saw that mentioned in some other reviews on here so I already knew before I bought the hitch.

by:

Easy enough to install. Directions are clear and the video online helped a lot. The little ring on top I made to give it a more finished look around the cutout. It would be nice if B & W included a piece like this with the kit, even if made of plastic. But, very happy with it.

by:

This was the second Goose-neck mid bed ball to frame assembly I purchased from etrailer....this was for a V-8 Tundra; the first was for a V-12 dodge 2500; Both were absolutely spot on in terms of Hardware provided; Instructions; and actual holes already in the respective frames to line up to the hitch frame mounting steel; beyond that I got digital brake/level controllers from these guys for the Tundra and it was mint....cannot speak more highly of etrailer to get the stuff you need to haul....its obvious these guys actually get the kit first then see if it fits...on an actual truck...then order and distribute it when it does...10 out of 10 for etrailer

After having this hitch for a year I can’t say I’m too impressed. They claim the powdercoat on it is durable, but after only a year there’s already spots of rust. The pictures I’ve included are only showing a few spots I’ve noticed. I painted the pieces that sit against my frame with frame paint in hopes that doesn’t rust either. But the outside facing pieces, I haven’t touched. My truck is stored in the winter and the hitch hasn’t even been used yet since purchase. I’m sure it performs well since my last gooseneck hitch was B&W. But as for durability, I don’t think they do as well anymore. It shouldn’t be this rusty only after a year, being stored, not seeing salt or even being used.

  • Determining if 1997 Ford F-350 Has Overload Springs for B&W Gooseneck Fit
An Air Lift air spring kit that fits your 1997 Ford F-350 would not be considered an overload spring. Overload springs are a separate spring that attaches to the rear leaf spring pack that looks like it only connects in the middle of the pack and not to the ends. This allows the suspension to work like normal but once it gets compressed far enough an additional spring adds more support. So if you do have the overload springs you'd want the part # BWGNRK1110 that you referenced but if you...

For the 1995 Ford F250 Extended Cab truck without overload springs a gooseneck hitch, like the B&W Turnover Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1100, is conformed to fit your vehicle. • Can Gooseneck Hitches Be Installed in a Truck with a Body Lift
The problem with putting a gooseneck hitch in a truck with a body lift is that the gooseneck hitch mounts to the frame, and as you know a body lift will lift the body higher off of the frame. Well, a gooseneck hitch installs onto the frame and the ball height is set for vehicles without a body lift. So, if you were to install a hitch on a truck with a body lift the ball will not stick up far enough through the body for a gooseneck coupler to attach to it. With a body lift you will not...
