With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer. Even a truck bed utility rack is available so that you can easily haul ladders and lumber with the load placed on the hitch (and therefore your truck's frame) instead of your bed rails.

Great service and a great product! Quick delivery and good communication regarding status. Of course it’s a great hitch, it’s a B&W…

ETrailer was really helpful when I called them with a question. Was installing pretty easy but since I have a older truck bed wasn’t exactly straight so put 2x4 under floor jack and was able to raise it enough to install my rails underneath without it hitting shock like it was first doing. Took few hours but looks good. Haven’t used it so can’t give a rating for how well it actually tows heavy loads. I plan on towing my gooseneck trailer with tractor which should be around 25k pounds.

Works great, I have no complaints. Will buy again for any other truck I have that needs one.

I've always had B&W Turnoverball Hitches in all my trucks. They are a great hitch, hold up well to the test of time and easy to use. Keeping all the moving parts lubricated will ensure a long useful life.

2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty

The hitch install was not bad at all. Great design and it bolted to my 2000 F250 short bed frame just like it was designed. I watched a couple install videos and the paper instructions were good and easy to follow. Very quality hitch and happy to support products made in the USA!
I’ll be testing the hitch out very soon and I’m sure it will work just as it should.

2009 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

It took me a while to get this hitch installed because there were after market airbag suspension supports that were in the way. After I removed them the installation went a bit smoother. The B&W instructions were so light, I was glad to had the opportunity to view the etrailer.com resource video and other helpful informaiton in determining the rear airbag support could be removed without causing a structural issue to the truck.
So if you got these airbags install, know that they can be removed so you can take advantage of this high quality hitching system. I used impact wrenches to loosen the old and install the new bolts... made life a lot easier than with the standard wrenches, so worth the price i invested in the right tools for the job.

Suprised how quickly again etrailer was on shipping out!
Holiday week and the they had it on its way the day I ordered it.
I always have had great success with etrailer.
Simple to install hitch with the directions and online video instructions.
Hardest part was drilling the 4" hole in the floor of the bed. Again the video had excellent tips to aide with that.
We were really surprised how quickly it was to install.
Absolutely love the quick way the ball flips over to remove it out of the way for the use of the truck bed.
Only thing I would do different, order the rubber cover for the bottom of the ball to keep debris out of the hitch while inverted.
Going to place an order for one now from etrailer!

2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I purchased the B & W turnover ball hitch from E Trailer for my 2006 Ford F250 SuperDuty. Jan in customer service was very helpful. I received the hitch within 2 days. My wife and I installed it according to the instructions and installation video on their website. E trailer really did their homework on the installation of their hitches. We got the hitch insatlled with minimal problems. All you have to do is follow the video/instuctions. I am very pleased with the hitch and would recommend ETrailer and the B&W hitch to anyone who tows. I tow a 5th wheel with a Ranch Hitch Gooseneck adapter. Now I dont have to deal with the 5th wheel hitch in the bed of my truck. I will continue to purchase other towing accessories from ETrailer. A wonderful experience.

2012 Ford Transit Connect

This was my Second Hitch to order from etrailer. The first was on my 2012 Ford Transit Connect. This time was on my newly purchased 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel truck. It did not have the Goosneck Hitch and I have Horses and use a Trailer to transport them. Instead of paying Much More to have the hitch put in, I elected to do it myself. I looked at the Video and read the instructions Twice before starting. Since I am almost 75, I need the help of my son. While he was at work, I did most of the work myself. When he got off work, we finished the job. I will continue to purchase from etrailer. The items fit Perfectly and instructions are Great. In the picture, is Sophie, my dog which watched as we worked.

B&W hitches are truely the best hitch made. Couple that with a company that has the most informative videos, great customer service and ultra fast shipping.

Best hitch made able to install yourself in couple hours. Pulled gooseneck loaded with 10000 lbs and worked perfect no issues.

2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty

This kit is great. I installed in in about 2 hours. The instructions were pretty good. I could have used an exploded view showing all hardware locations. Overall I am very Happy. Also, the instructions make is seem that the 4in hole you drill is very critical. Don't stress, there is plenty of room for error if you drilled the hole slightly off.

by:
2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Haven't installed the hitch yet but I have 0 complaints about this company. Fast shipping, excellent customer service, and all the information you could ask for to install the kit

by:

Delivery was fast and everything is as expected. I installed this (for the first time ever) in 2.5 hours. The only thing that needs to be cut is the 4” hole and a notch to allow the crossmembers to slide under the bed. Pretty easy instructions from etrailer’s YouTube video!

by:

The puck fifth wheel/goose neck system from the big three is garbage. You have to stow that [stuff] somewhere else when you want a flat bed and the hole covers get lost right off the bat. Who wants to store a dirty greasy ball and safety chain connectors in the cab or bed? B&W Turn Over ball is the only way to fly. Full pull rating and nothing to store when you want a flat bed surface. I wish those cheap automakers would just pay a licensing fee to B&W and have something good from the factory without having the extra time and expense to have it installed.

by:

When my diesel truck s engine blew, I needed a way to pull the horse trailer until I get it fixed. Came fast, easy to install on farm truck. Got me on the road again in less than a week total.

Very happy with product. Highly recommend B&W gooseneck hitch.

1 year later.. It performs as described. I think it is a great design, and works well with the separate fifth wheel attachment. I will be installing this model in my next truck.

by:

Easy to install. Directions were great. No holes to drill. Impressed with quality of hitch and ease of installation. Would purchase from you again if the need arises.

by:

Great product, super easy to install (took about 4 hours and would have been faster if I had a lift). Very well engineered, it fit like a glove, everything lined up and tightened down just like it was supposed to. The dimensions and finish are excellent and made working with it a pleasure. No sharp edges, the pieces were chamfered/cutout/drilled to make the install easy without sacrificing strength, and the powder coating and plating will keep this from rusting or reacting with the contact points on the frame. I put this in my daughters truck and she makes monthly runs between LA and Laramie hauling a 10K horse trailer. I went back and checked the torque on the bolts after her firs trip - didn't need to, everything was snug and right where it was supposed to be. I have since installed B&W gooseneck kits in two of my other trucks. Love this product.

by:

Instructions were self explanatory but pictures were average. Threads on one bolt in package needed to be rethreaded. Definitely took longer than the you tube video we watched showed. Overall very satisfied with the hitch.

by:

I have installed 2 of these B&W models and am very pleased with them. All necessary holes are drilled, making installation simple. The directions are well written. The optional Fifth wheel adapter plate also made by B&W allowed me to remove the original in-bed rails on this truck which interfere with a truck bed camper. This setup allows me to tow fifth wheel trailers, gooseneck trailers, and also accept a truck camper. Also, the paint job on these is very durable.

2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I bought this about a year ago for my 2000 F250. When I received it in the mail the mail i noticed a hole in the box and the ball missing. I think this was the shippers fault and not B&W or etrailer. I emailed etrailer about the missing ball and they shipped me another ballfor free and very quickly! I was pleased with the service from etrailer.
I was also very pleased with the hitch. It is the most expensive hitch at roughly $420 but I'm glad i got it. Installation was pretty easy easy and the system works great for my application.

One word of advice; take the ball out if you're not using it in the winter time because the ball will freeze in there!!!

Overall pleased with B&W and etrailer. Would do business with both again.

Love the product nut installation instructions were lacking.

Yes. You will measure from the tail gate end of your truck bed floor by hooking a tape measure over the end of the truck box and mark the floor at 47-inches.
