With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.
The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.
When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.
Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.
B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

Square ball base won't turn in hitch.Came in a timely manner, about a week from the time I ordered it to it delivered to my door step in Alaska. The hitch itself is very high quality with nice clean welds and sharp clean edges which took almost no prep work to weld in to the frame I had built for it. You could tell by looking at this that B&W uses nice welding equipment and employs quality welders. Overall very happy with this. Installed on Monroe flatbed on F-450 cab and chassis truck.
This unit was very handy to be able to purchase and install on my Bradford Built flatbed so that I could install my B&W companion hitch with flatbed base on the truck.
The welding was all fairly straight forward and didn't require much except for a few washers and a piece of flat steel for a spacer.
The one down side is that the hitch pin/handle does not have any built in twist-n-lock method to lock it so the pin remains disengaged for the ball or companion assembly install like on the common B&W under truck bed assemblies I've had on several trucks. We ended up installing the pin slightly out of line so that the tip of the pin would catch on the exterior of the receiver when pulled out and then when I wanted to engage the pin just push up on the handle and press the pin back in.
I do like that I can still cover the hitch hole with the cover plate as seen in the picture.
Mark - 11/27/2018I used this system BWGNRK1500 to retrofit the standard flat bed gooseneck hitch pocket on my Bradford bed. I wanted to be able to use my B&W companion hitch to pull my 5th wheel trailer so I needed a receiver tube that sits flush with the surface of the bed. This application took me about 3 hours to fabricate and install and it works perfectly. We have since installed the identical system on two other flat bed trucks.
Exactly what you would expect from b&w . High quality and well-built. Looking forward to getting it welded into our truck.

and it fits under the dump body
and it pulls the 30ft goose neck with 17,000 load no problem

I built this into a flat bed for a HDT and it works perfect.
was expecting it to be harder to install but after 2.5 hours I was done and it was in service pulling its first load!
I called because there was a delay in my shipment and the representative that helped me was great in figuring out why and rush it to me as soon as possible.
Exactly what was described, good quality materials and welds. Accidentally ordered the same hitch off of [online] the same time i ordered from here. The [online] box was beat to h@ll and looked previously opened. The box from here was in great condition (both shipped ups)
