Hitch a extension works perfectly with my hitch steps to work for my slide in camper.
A little bit wiggly in the connection (as to be expected)
I used hitch stabilizer clamps (x3) to tighten up the steps and they are rock solid

Steps and extender appear they will work well for my Ram 2500 with slide-in camper, having not loaded the camper to date. Unfortunately, the receiver on heavy duty Rams are 2 and 1/2 inches, so I needed to add a 2 inch reducer which doesn't fit as tightly, making the set up less rigid. But, this will be better than the bulky set of steps I used to carry and then hope for level ground on which to set them.
