Had to reduce my hitch receiver from 3” to 2”. This worked perfect. Shipping was super fast. Great people to work with. Keep in mind if you’re using an old 2” receiver hitch pin you need to buy a longer one that will accommodate the 3” receiver.

Quality product to fit the needs of a 2" hitch in a 3" receiver for the new F350s. Good service and prompt delivery.

- C45408

Works as advertised. E-trailer found this as an alternative to a different sleeve I had purchased that would ship mush later. This gives more functionality at a cheaper price than what I had been looking at.

Very nice fit in my 2019 F250 with a 3" receiver. Can't say enough good about the customer service I received from eTrailer, their help finding the right product was superb!

Bought this for my 2020 Ford 350 XLT. It fit like a glove. The nipple on the 2" reducer makes hooking my hitch SO much better than the one I was currently using. It is very frustrating to line up 2 or more moving parts. I highly recommend this for anybody with a Ford Superduty truck.

New F350 came with a 3" hitch and almost all my hauling stuff 2" draw bars, so this seems to be solution. Heavy duty and well made. Had shipping nightmare that was not etrailers fault. Took over a month to receive product.

- C45408
by:

This adapter was exactly what I needed. My 2019 F350 has a 3" receiver. I only own 2" hitches. This solved the problem. I had originally bought a similar sleeve at a Ford dealership. It did not work because of a design flaw which was an unnecessary lip that blocked the hitch from fulling seating in the sleeve. Etrailer has solved another issue for me that included the exact part for the job. Thank you.

- C45408
by:

This product works exactly as described and intended for. Makes the three inch receiver on the F350 much more compatible with the various hitches around the garage. No issues and can definitely put it into the recommended column.

- C45408
by:

Worked great, my Ford 2020 F350 came with a 3" receiver hitch. This adapter provided exactly what I was looking for for both a 2 1/2" and 2" hitch hookup. I could not get this type of adapter from Ford, not available.

- C45408
by:

The item is exactly what we needed. It arrived safely and on time. Your service is outstanding and you are my first "go to" when I need parts and accessories for our trailer. Thank you for all your hard work keeping this business going.

- C45408

Upgraded to an F250 with a 3 inch hitch receiver. My old receiver was 2 inch. Ordered adapter, stainless ball and 3 inch locking pin. All delivered promptly and top quality!

- C45408
by:

If you are tired of your adapters falling back in your hitch every time you attempt to insert your hitch PIN then this is the right solution for you. I bought this for my 2020 F250 so I could use my 2 inch hitches and it works perfectly. The hitch pin lines up better and these adapters will not slide and disappear back in the hitch. Highly recommend.

- C45408
by:

It fit my F450’s 3” hitch perfectly and the shipping was fast!

- C45408
by:

I purchased for 2021 F250 Platinum Tremor; Hitch sleeves fit snug and pin holes align with OEM hitch. Good quality, I would recommend item and buy it again if needed!

- C45408
by:

This hitch adapter works great on my 2020 F-250. I have seen forums where people complain about the fitment of other adapters. This one doesn't move around and gets the job done. Great product.

- C45408
by:

I was pleased the the fast delivery and quality of the curt hitch receiver reducer sleeves. I have purchased several items always great customer service from Etrailer.

- C45408
by:

I got this reducer to attach my 2 inch rock tamer mud flaps to the 3 inch receiver on a truck. The adapter does reduce from 3" to 2.5 " to 2". However, the reducers from on size to the next are not anywhere near snug. The rock tamers wobble a lot. The adapter will work, but realize there will be considerable slop.

- C45408

Works perfectly

- C45408

My RV came equipped with an 3" received that had to be reduced to 2". Works perfectly, it does require a little patience to get all the holes lined up.

Unlike the OEM that needed time to align this aligns perfectly

- C45408
by:

This was a much-needed accessory for my 3-inch receiver hitch. I have been looking everywhere and finally found this setup on etrailer. The fit is perfect and the price is very reasonable. Plus you really get two adapters in one. The larger one reduces from 3 in to 2 1/2 in and the smaller insert slides in to take it down to a 2 in. This one adapter will allow you to use virtually all your hitch accessories with your 3 in receiver.

- C45408
by:

Nice fit and exactly what I needed.

- C45408
by:

Nice product but it fits a little loose compared to other suppliers.

- C45408
by:

The inserts fit into the receiver and line up well when setting up. The stops on the inserts are spot-on. The inserts would perform better, however, if they extended the length of the receiver tube. Being so short, they allow some play in the hitch assembly.

- C45408
by:

Sturdily constructed. Fits perfectly and does the job--allows me to switch very easily between three different receiver sizes.

  • Recommended 3 Inch to 2 Inch Hitch Reducer with 5/8 Inch Pin Hole
There is a solution for you, the Buyers Products 3" to 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # 337RTA302 which has a 5/8" hitch pin hole and would give you the security you need. Using the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408 with its 3/4" hitch pin hole would not be ideal because the conflicting hitch pin diameters would mean your tow bar would be loose inside the receiver. I have added a link to a video review of the Buyers Products adapter for you to check out as well.

  • Recommended Hitch Extender for Towing/Hitch Accessories With Truck Bed Camper
Both the Curt # C45048 and the Reese # RP45292 hitch extensions would require using a 3 inch to 2-1/2 inch reducer sleeve # BWRHXA2183. This would work pretty well for towing but it would allow a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack to bounce about quite a bit which would concern me. The bouncing force would increase the leverage applied to the extender and the hitch installed on the truck, so I'm not thrilled with either of those two solutions. I'd prefer so see you use an extender...

  • How To Use Equal-i-zer 1400/14000lb Weight Distribution Hitch In 2021 Ford F-350 W/ 3" Receiver
I have another option for you, but due to the tongue weight of your trailer being right at the max 1200lb rating of the Buyers Products # 337RTA302, and your 2021 Ford F-350's 3" trailer hitch receiver having a hitch pin hole of 5/8" meaning it will not work correctly with the # C45408 I do not recommend either of these option. Using a hitch reducer like the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408 would be a great option that will not reduce the capacities of your hitch and is confirmed to work with weight distribution systems like your Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 14,000 lbs GTW, 1,400 lbs TW # EQ37140ET. If you are going to be using an anti-rattle device like you'd want on a ball mount I recommend instead using the Reducer Sleeve for Super Titan Hitch Receivers - 3" to 2" # 38735.
