Adam: Hi everyone. Adam etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Fastway hitch receiver adapter. Basically it's just going to be a sleeve that's going to go inside your 2-1/2" hitch receiver, and it's going to convert it to a 2" so you can use it with the Fastway or Diversi-Tech locking hitch ball mount. It was designed specifically for that, so you're going to be able to utilize both the locking hitch pin that you can buy here at etrailer.com, and also the locking mechanism on your ball mount.So we can actually just slide the sleeve in there, because there is two holes and they are evenly displaced throughout our two here. We can put in our locking hitch pin in there first just to lock that into place.
This does not come with the sleeve. It is sold separately. That's going to lock that into place. Once we do that we can take our ball mount, and this is the Fastway locking ball mount. You can see we can line up that little cylinder there and once we do that we have keys that come with this ball mount and we're going to rotate it.
You can see how that kind of slides out and that's going to lock your ball mount into your hitch.Once you do that, you can plug this up, everything's locked into place and now you're ready to tow. So if you have a Fastway adjustable ball mount, or even the fixed locking ball mounts and the same goes for our Diversi-Techs, the sleeve is going to be what you need to get it. A lot of you guys are wondering what's the difference between this sleeve compared to just another random brand that we carry here at etrailer We do carry a lot but the only difference is, is there are going to be these two circles here. The first one's going to be utilized for our lock, and the back one is going to be able to hold that hitch pin and line up with our holes on our hitch receiver here.The overall length of this whole entire sleeve is going to be about 6-1/4" long and it's actually pretty symmetrical. So we have about 2-1/8" from our end to the middle of our hitch pin hole here and then 2-1/8" from here to here.
And then the same on this side, 2-1/8" from the very end to the middle of our hitch pin hole here.This sleeve is not going to work with any of your other hitch mounted accessories. As you can see here, our hole is lined up so we will be able to get our pin through, but we won't be able to get a pin through here to lock that hitch mounted accessory into this sleeve. So this sleeve will differentiate from the others we carry on the website just because of the location of the holes. And of course on this one there's two of them. So if you have a hitch like this or a Diversi-Tech, this is going to be the sleeve for you.

Got one at harbor freight didn't fit got one from trailer,fit perfect
The thing is a piece of junk. The holes do not line up as they were drilled too close together.
Fits well and serves the purpose for the locking hitch. Its the right length and the pins are hidden out of sight
size of product is not standard. it fit my boat hitch, but not my bicycle rack hitch.
Holes didn't line up where I wanted them but it worked regardless.
The stainless steel adaptor sleeve was exactly what I expected. A nice piece of square tubing cut to exact length with properly located pin hole and all corners and edges deburred. Perfect fit.
Product was shipped out quickly and it was exactly what I needed.
I love it now that I’ve gotten to use it for a while.

According to Fastway, this adapter is only compatible with their DTLBM and DTALBM series ball mounts. If youre using a different ball mount, the adapter wornt work for you.
