I recommend etrailer. Customer service helped me get the bike rack and swing away to fit my needs.
The Pivot 2 works wonderfully when it’s not broken. First the release latch stopped working within a month-Kuat customer service replaced it. Then there was a 1.5”split in the steel where the bike rack slides in, (it could have been a very tragic outcome had I not removed my bike rack when I did).Kuat customer service would not give me a refund but they did replace it with another one. Here’s hoping third one is the charm. Note: I went directly through Kuat when I had a problem not etrailer. I didn’t give etrailer the opportunity to make it right because I was traveling and felt as though the manufacturer would get me faster results. I’m not sure if that was the best decision.
Excellent product, solidly built and easy to install. I was hesitant because of the full size spare tire on the back ladder. The videos and the specifications (especially the sizing details) gave me all the info I needed to make the decision to install it on my Sprinter. The swing away rack gives me full access to the rear of the vehicle. I wish I had bought it sooner.
All Good. Fast delivery. Item as described. Kuat packaging is always first class. Installation was a little bit of a pain. Powder coasting on tube that inserts into hitch receiver was a bit too thick. Had to massage with a sander, Fit is now perfect. Function of this Kuat Swing is outstanding. Tolerances are tight. Hardware is typical Kuat. Best swing on the market. Thank you e trailer.

I just installed the Pivot2 on my Dodge Ram and plugged my NV2 into it. The Pivot is a beast. I can now swing the NV2 completely out of the way to access the bed or drop the tailgate so I can load my wife's trike. etrailer, you guys rock. Thanks.
Exactly what I was looking for. Can swing the bikes out of the way to access the truck bed. Locks back into position and I am not worried about it being secure.
This swing away carrier is easy to connect and very quiet behind the rig.
Everything i was looking for, great product, great costumer relationship and quick processing and shipping on order. I'm using it on my mobility scooter lift that it's modified for my beach cart, now i can swing it out and open the tailgate, true game changer. I trully reccommend this product.

This is an excellent product. Very solidly made, easy to operate and easy to install/remove. I use it to swing my bike to the side so I can more easily access my hatch-area. Beware the small stub that sticks out however! It can bang your shins! The rack operation is smooth, and the safety-latch works very easily, and prevents the bikes from swinging back if the car is parked on a hill.
Exactly what I was wanting. I used my split receiver on my Renegades 2" hitch receiver. Put my tow hitch in the bottom one soI could still tow my boat ot trailer. Put the Kuat v2 swing arm in the top hitch. Mounted my spare tire mount in the swing arm. Still have the place to mount the cargo rack on top of the swing arm and still be below the weight cap of the swing arm.
Super solid. Fits perfectly on my 22 Bronco. And etrailer got it here lightning fast!
I waited 6 months because it was on backorder. I was offered other swing away hitches but I chose to wait. After receiving it, nothing comes close to the ease of operation and how smooth the bearing system is. No binding at all. Well worth the wait.

Still consider this the best decision I have made. By far the best swing away hitch on the market. Does not bind or creek when loaded up.
Just received this carrier today. I haven't even opened it yet and can tell you that it is a great carrier, we have had one before. The fantastic thing about this whole process is the attention you get from etrailer.com. They are GREAT to do business with. They fill and ship orders so quickly that it dazzles me. etrailer was very easy to work with and answered all my questions quickly. etrailer knew the answers to my questions about the Kuat Bike Rack but oddly the person at Kuat did not. The boxes arrived in perfect condition.
Just what I was looking for! Both just swing away and retailer are great .
Assembly was easy. Wish the installation to the receiver was tool less, but they included wrench makes it pretty simple. Will be giving it a thorough test run next month.

Had one bad part which Kuat replaced quickly and easily. Works great since then.
We are very pleased with this product. We have a truck camper and use this with our 2 electric bikes. We have traveled thousands of miles with it. It saves us from having to unload our bikes each time we want to get into our camper. We love it!

Great rack! I carry two fat tire e-bikes with no problems and the ease of loading and unloading with the optional ramp is surprisingly easy even for one person. Can’t say enough for the excellent fit and finish of this rack!
after seeing someone with this setup, we knew it would be great on either our motorhome or our Bronco. swings the bike rack out of the way for either vehicle.
Product video by Adam on this website took the guesswork out of this purchase. We put the Pivot to task with our Ebikes and are totally satisfied with this well built and designed product.

got a different van...Ford Transit. The back doors would not open with my Kuat bike rake on. This is the perfect answer
This a quality made swing out hitch. I would recommend this to other people. We have two fairly heavy fat tire electric bikes we put on this. I have used this behind our camper, on our Jeep and also on a hitch I welded to our Art Show trailer that we tow behind our camper. The show trailer has a ramp style fold down door and this hitch allows us to access the trailer without taking the bikes or hitch off. I did have to modify the ramp as the ramp will not go down to the ground as the first arm of the hitch is still in the way when the bikes are swung out, but that would be the case with any brand of swing out hitch and the fact that I have adapted it to a purpose that is not a normal situation! FYI, and nothing to do with brand or quality...I was originally going to order the driver side swing out hitch and then changed it to the passenger side as I was thinking about one particular show where while unloading the trailer the bikes would swing out into traffic, which was not an option. But otherwise, swinging out the passenger side gets in the way of accessing the camper as our camper access steps are off center on the passenger side. It would be more convenient to have it swing away to the drivers side away from the steps. But that is just our situation and if you were to use the swing out hitch while parked on a road you would want the hitch to swing to the passenger side. The hitch was also too close to the camper steps while closed with the bikes on so I added a 1 foot extender hitch between the main hitch and the bike hitch which gave us clearer access to the camper. This creates a little more movement the further you get away from the main hitch but I tie the swing out hitch on either side to the camper to stabilise it while we travel to reduce sway. Overall it works great and I would recommend it.

This sounds like a great set up but I would like to note that this pivot hitch extender is not to be used with hitch adapters, reducers, or other extenders because using those things will reduce your hitchs overall capacity by 50 percent. While using the pivot hitch extender, you are already doing this.

The Kuat works perfectly. If you want easy access to the back of you vehicle this is exactly what you need. One year in and Im completely satisfied with the product.
