Bushing reduces Titan Class V receiver opening (2-1/2" x 2-1/2") to a Class III or IV receiver opening (2" x 2").
Features:
Note: Ford OEM hitches have a tighter/different radius on their 2-1/2 inch receiver tubes. To accommodate the OEM Ford 2-1/2 inch hitch, the corners of a ball mount, shank or reducer sleeve may need to be sanded down to slide into the hitch. Do not remove any more material than necessary. Simply removing the paint or powder-coat is often sufficient.
Never use a grinder to knock-down the corners, which may remove too much material and will also heat the accessory and could compromise the product's structural integrity. This is especially the case with cast accessories like larger weight distribution shanks.

Bushing reduces Titan Class V receiver opening (2-1/2" x 2-1/2") to a Class III or IV receiver opening (2" x 2").This ain't pretty. But size does matter. The 58102 2" X 2 1/2" receiver adapter hits the spot. It fits nicely into the 2 1/2" receiver with, at most, 1/8" space "slap" room. It's almost full length front to back inside receiver providing plenty of support for my 2" weight distribution system without slap. I have not hooked up my Forest River 29'4", 10,7 75 lb. GVWR Puma tow behind R/V but I do not have any fear of this well constructed, perfect fitting receiver adapter. The people at etrailer are there, willing and able to assist you. I have personally found that, if the C.S. Rep doesn't know the answer, she/he will find the answer and report back to you, in my case within minutes. My purchase was delivered (snail mail) within 5 days and In excellent condition. I will report back shortly after a trial run hooked up.
This reducer sleeve was exactly what I needed to assure I had the proper hitch setup between my truck and travel trailer camper.
Wish these adapters were longer, but it gets the job done with some extra rattle from the sloppy fit. It will get me by till I get a better fitting 2 1/2" draw bar.
straightforward basic product
This reducer is perfect for reducing a 2.5 inch receiver down to a 2 inch. It works perfectly as designed.
Simple product, works well, has help up.
As has been widely reported this thing does not fit "snugly" into the 2 & 1/2" hitch receiver. Because the reducer sleeve is not a "snug" fit it rattles around a bit and is showing signs of wear around the pin hole. Fortunately I bought a 2 & 1/2" shank instead of relying solely on the reducer.
Over the last couple of years, I have purchased different parts for my towing needs from etrailer.com. The parts have ranged from hitch adapters to trailer tires. The customer service from Crystal K., and the quality of the products from etrailer.com have all been the very best that you could expect. I highly recommend that you at least consider etrailer.com for anything that you may need when you are towing or RV'ing.
I ordered 2 hitch adapters (sleeves) an a hitch pin from etrailer over the phone because I could not find mine and I wanted to get these shipped quickly before I left on my hunting trip a few days later. I called late in the day, about an hour before closing, but Cathy still worked magic and got my shipment put together and on the truck that night! My items arrived a couple of hours before I planned to leave. Cathy saved the beginning of my trip! For the review of the 2 square pieces of metal tubing --- they worked great :-). This review is for the outstanding customer service I've experienced each time I've ordered anything from etrailer.com, but especially this time from Cathy.
Package arrived late. It took longer to get from the UPS center which is less than 5 miles away than it did to get from the original location.
fit perfect, does what it's supposed to do
This fits a Curt 2 1/2 receiver perfectly. Allows me to use receiver with my various drawbars for different trailers when I am not using the Forklift hitch box extension.
Does what is says reduces the opening on the ford titan hitch. The drilled thru hole should be just a 1/8 inch towards the rear more so it is flush on the hitch opening when inserted, but doesn't affect anything.
what can i say it is a steel tube That fits as it should
LIKE A GLOVE - 2019 F250 Lariat - Ordered as a reduction sleeve for my new trucks Class V trailer hitch. Received this very quickly and this part is BEEFY.. I Just removed the sticky label and inserted into the 2 1/2" hitch receptical, added the pin to secure it. DONE.
Purchased for a 2017 Ford F250 with factory 2 1/2" receiver. Fits perfectly right out of the box. Some reviewers mentioned that they had to file the edges a bit, but I did not. Excellent quality, excellent fit.
This is just perfect. When I bought my new truck I was very surprised that I now had a 2-1/2 inch hitch receiver. Of course my 2 inch hitches and accessories didn't fit plus I had to get another receiver pin to fit the 2-1/2. I will have to say etrailers on-line was a great experience. They had what I needed and the prices were very reasonable. Thanks. I will definitely be back for more trailer accessories.
Great service and product, unable to use due to the size (length) unfortunately unable to use, will need to return.
Reducer worked great for my GMC 2 1/2 inch hitch. Received Blue Ox Sway Pro WD 2" hitch with no problems. Used the 2 1/2 inch hitch lock to secure everything in place. Very little movement and fit snug as a bug. Great Product. Fast Shipping. As always Amazing customer service!
The part itself is just like the way it was described. I have a 2011 F-250, I read in the reviews that the piece wouldn't slide in unless some of the corner were ground down, with this information I didn't think it would be a big deal. I have not used it yet. I slid the part into my hitch and it fit, in my opinion a little too loose, I also slid it into my reciever and it too seemed a little too loose fitting. May have to buy a 2 1/2 receiver instead.
I bought this to use a bike carrier in my 2 1/2 inch Curt hitch receiver. Fit perfectly on the bike carrier and into the 2 1/2 inch receiver. Katie D. did a great job making sure that it would fit without potential modification warned for Ford factory hitches.
The part fit up in a 2 1/2" receiver on a F250 without issue, despite multiple reports that some massaging might be needed to fit the factory hitch. Normally, I would give this 5 stars and the product, while not complex, works as advertised. The 4 star rating is due to the country of origin - China.
Have used the adapter for a year now and have had no issues. The unit wiggles a little when in place but I image that is necessary for it to slide into place correctly. The unit does not wiggle once connected to the trailer and I can't hear any noises coming from the hitch when towing. I would buy this unit again.
