Clarification: Some units have an old sticker that incorrectly says the maximum tongue weight is 100 lbs. The correct maximum tongue weight is 200 lbs.

This tow bar extension is a quality built product.. Very helpful backing a trailer.
I have included some photos of the hitch extension. The first two are just on my truck without and with the extension. Without the extension, note the proximity of bike handlebars to the tailgate. In the second photo with the extension, the handlebars are much removed from the tailgate.
Note that this is a ¾ ton truck with an insert in the receiver. With the insert in place, the front holes of extension did not align with the receiver. It was short 1/8 to 3/16 inch. If needed, I could solve this issue with a smaller bolt.
The next photos are without and with the extension in the receiver of our RV. With the cover on RV the dramatic effect of extension is not so obvious.
In the first photo without the extension, the handlebars of bike literally contact the back of RV. In contrast in the second photo, the handlebars are 5 to 6 inches from the back of the RV. Though there are no road trips yet, I am confident that the hitch extension will protect the bike and importantly will protect the back of the RV.
I hope that these comments and photos are useful to you. If no, I can try again in spring when we remove cover from the RV.

Very disappointed! Called to ensure this would work with my Hollywood RV bike rack. It does not. The Hollywood rack needs three inches of depth to the center of the pin hole. Aggravated that I have to repackage, return and now get the correct extender.
Shipping is unbelievably fast. Called to order part and when I told her how fast I needed it, they shipped it right out. Service is great. The part fit and because it’s Roadmaster I knew it would be a quality part.
I purchased this product because I need that extra 7 1/2 inch clearance under my bumper. I drive a 2006 E350 van I changed the factory bumpers for a chrome step bumper and it made my Reese hitch sit in more than 3 inches so I wanted an extra so I moved my hitch with a good tow rating. So that's about it.

The Hitch extender worked great for towing light loads, unfortunatly mine snapped while i was towing my speedboat, which is not the companys fault, there is a high chance i was towing over their suggested weight limmit.

Exactly as expected. I was worried that my order wouldn't arrive before leaving for Florida but it's here! I am replacing a dual 2" / 4" drop hitch as my Colorado requires a straight pull. The extender is priced right .
Perfect fit. Needed my Blue-Ox towbar extended out from the motorhome a minimum of 5". This adapter brought it out 7" and worked wonderful.
This is a very stout connector I needed to get the tow vehicle away from the bike rack. Well built and etrailer took great care of me.
One of the holes in the hitch extender was drilled quarter of an inch off and made the hitch extender go to the second hole and that one put away out there there was not enough support good product is somebody screwed up making it.
Works as advertised. Had to get an extender for my hitch so that the step wouldn’t hit the back of my truck when I turned.
We needed this product to extend our towbar to put a rock guard on. We are parked in an RV Park at the moment, backed up to another RV, pictures are not possible. The hitch extension is working exactly as it should.
This is the perfect piece to make sure the towed vehicle is clear of the vehicle doing the towing, especially in turns that are sharper than expected. Great for a motorhome towing.
Product is good but it should include locking pin or include link to purchase. Had to purchase separately.
