This Cannon hitch extender is specially designed to work with your 3" factory Ford Super Duty trailer hitch. Like most products from TorkLift, the primary purpose of this extender is to help create a towing setup that fits perfectly with your truck bed camper system. Not only will you be able to extend your trailer hitch receiver out far enough to clear the overhang of your camper, but you will also maintain a high enough weight capacity so that you can tow your trailer.
Most hitch extensions dramatically reduce the towing capacity of your hitch setup, making it difficult to tow a loaded trailer over a certain weight. The Cannon, though, creates such a sturdy connection with your 3" OE trailer hitch that you can still maintain a high weight capacity. To get the highest capacity possible, use a standard weight distribution system with the TorkLift towing setup.
The shank of the Cannon extension slides into your receiver and is held in place with the included hitch pin and clip. The connection between the extension and your hitch is reinforced with a set bolt underneath the shank that tightens up to the receiver for a snug fit and prevents rattle and movement in hitch.
To give you absolute peace of mind, lateral support chains connect to the hitch and the extension on either side of your setup. Just attach one end of each chain to the extension and secure the opposite end to your hitch. Then tighten the chains with the integrated turnbuckles. These chains not only provide extra security to keep the extension in place in your hitch, but they also transfer some of the weight back from the extension to your frame-mounted hitch.
If the camper is mounted on the truck:
Measure from the face of the truck's rear bumper to the outside edge of the camper's bumper. This is the length of the extension that you need.
If the camper is not mounted on the truck:
1. Measure from the inside of the front of your truck bed to the outside face of the truck's rear bumper.
2. Measure the camper's overall floor length from the rubber bumpers at the front to the outside edge of the rear bumper.
3. Find the difference between these 2 figures by subtracting. The difference is the length of the extension that you need.

The hitch worked great. I pulled a 12ft Wells Cargo enclosed trailer with a motorcycle on board. The reason I purchased this hitch, I have a 101/2 ft Lance camper that extends pass the bumper. I used it on a F350. I did use a Equla-I-Zer sway control hitch because of the tongue weight of my trailer and I believe it made this extension hitch work better.
This is a quality product and works perfectly! Easy to install and adjust. They even give you extra chain and turnbuckles.
Very well built, easy to install and quick to remove when not needed.
I have not tried towing yet, but the hitch extension was easy to install and
a perfect fit to my ford f350. I will let you know if I have any towing problems.
Originally I bought this item because it would be delivered the day I needed it. Then changed delivery date after needed time, but was delivered on original day agreed upon. Happy it was delivered on original date but not ready because it was promised later. Happy about early delivery, but sad about predicted item being delayed not when stated . My only complaints
It works for what I use it for, but I don't know if I would tow something heavy with it. I use it behind a truck camper to haul my dirt bike on a carrier. The paint on the frame brackets was typical trailer low quality paint and rusted after a few months. The rest seems to do its job, if you would dare tow something with it.
Great quality and easy to install. Very pleased with it.
Heavy! But it does what it's supposed to; I tow a three-horse trailer three times a week, and it works perfectly.
Pretty poor showing for Torklift in regards to expected Torklift quality. The extension is a sturdy chunk of steel but they pretty much decided to use cheap junk for the stabilizer chains, mine showed up with two completely different chains for each side and one of the chains will not even allow the cheap clevis bolts to pass through.
It is not rocket science installing this but do not expect to actually use the instructions as all pictures and "words" on every page are printed to blurry to be of any use to anyone.
For $xxx you would think someone could use the correct size cardboard box so the item shows up looking "new" not a box 2' longer than the actual item with one crumpled piece of paper to fill the 2' long "void" and somehow magically this paper is suppose to keep the 80+lbs piece of metal in place.

Super heavy duty . I like that it is double sleeved and works with the 3" factory hitch on my Ford . I wish that they made them in shorter lengths as a 28" super truss that I was using was the perfect length . For the amount of money they charge for these you would think that they would package them better as when mine was delivered the box was completely destroyed . It had a few scratches but everything was there and looked nice . Easy to assemble and should fit my needs nicely. Shipped super fast and the customer service was awesome from etrailer .
The TorkLift hitch adapter works perfectly for our application. We have an Adventurer 910DB slide-in truck camper as well as a tandem Sea Doo trailer. It allows us to tow our trailer with the camper in place. The camper extends beyond the bed of our 2019 F350 dually (long bed), so we had to use something as an extension. I used the 36" wiring harness as well, and it all goes together as planned. It's pricey, though (as are all Torklift products); however, the quality is pretty good on most of their products. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, since it had a raised area from one of their welds on the extension that prevented me from sliding it into the receiver and I had to use a dremel tool to grind it down. I then sprayed it with black spray paint to match. I have a lot of Torklift products on our truck and camper, so I'd say I'm a supporter; however, I wish they would make their prices more reasonable.

I deducted 2 stars for 2 reasons.
#1. I have ordered several items from you company, the shipping is always quick and a fair price, but as I have mentioned in prior delivery's, the packaging leaves much help. My extension arrived undamaged, but you would have never guessed looking at the box, it was torn on 2 corners and 3 sides. I got lucky this time for the item to be undamaged.
#2 The extension arrived with no instructions(maybe lost in 1 of the box holes?), I was able to figure out 98% but had a few items that stumped me. I called your help desk, and requested a email instructions, I was told we don't have them, maybe I should call Torklift direct..... Not the greatest follow-thru. Maybe your agent could put me on hold and call Torklift and get a email to me and also keep one for your etrailers records??
In the end the Cannon Hitch is what I needed, and it arrived fairly quick. Just wish it was cheaper. Thanks
I am very impressed with the hitch extension. It fit right onto my truck and I have pulled my motorcycle trailer for more than 2,ooo miles without any problems. It carried my 2020 Gold Wing motorcycle behind a 10'3" Arctic Fox installed on a Ford F-350 with an 8' bed. Made a great combination, safe and sound.
I am a retired nuclear physicist/engineer and I deman a certain level of engineering and quality in a product I purchase. The Torklift cannon hitch extension is an excellent well engineered product that was made specifically for my one ton ford. Could not recommend in more highly.
this setup works really well on my 2019 F450 with my 2020 Lance 995 camper! i use it with a dirt bike mount and also to haul a snowmobile trailer. very happy! thanks etrailer
This extension allows for my toys to come along with my truck camper. Weight capacity is near the limit when I load up everything, but remains rock solid!
Has worked on my ford 350 dually and arctic fox 990. With the overhang of the camper I am able to carry man bikes or hook to a trailer. Easy to use and has held up well

Work good.
Ordered this for my 2019 F350 and Adventurer 910DB truck camper. Install was pretty easy with the basic hand tools. Seems to be a well built extension although have not pulled my trailer yet with this new setup. Also, fast shipping from Etrailer!
Hole for hitch pin is not centered and requires me to hammer pin in with excessive force each time I use. Quality control doesn’t seem to be very good.
Quick assembly, all parts make up a nice install. Looks very strong. Highly recommend if you have the 3” receiver.
I think the part should come with instructions for putting it on most of it is common sense but I have lots of extra hardware
Received items prior to expected delivery date. Hitch was easy to install.
Easy order, quick shipping. Works as advertised. Very pleased.
