Both 2" and 1-1/4" cargo carriers or bike racks can be used with your 1-1/4" hitch receiver with this adapter. Simple design makes it a snap to use. Much more economical solution than having to buy two bike racks or cargo carriers.

Hitch pin hole was too far up the shaft and couldn't lock into the receiver. Had to return.
This adapter allows us to use a bike rack we have across all our cars. It is perfect for light duty applications, easy to use and it can be stored in the trunk until you need it. I would definitely recommend it.
I was concerned that the adapter might not fit on my 2023 Toyota Venza, LE, but it fits just fine. So, the notice that the adapter will not fit a class one hitch does not apply to the Venza, even though the Venza specifications indicates it is a class one hitch.

I ordered a hitch and adaptor and it came in 2 days rather then 3 as estimated. I gave me an extra day to install ot before our vacation. It fit perfect! the installation kit and directions made the job easy peasy. was very pleased
Haven't used it yet but assume it will do the job. Need it to install 2" receiver hitch bike rack on my Subaru which only has the 1.25" receiver.

I had to file some weld slug on 2 inch receiver. No big deal, but I had to touch up the paint.
Good product to upsize the receiver for Kuat bike carrier.
The product is well made and fit was good. The looseness of the fit was good to fit different types of locking pins but not too loose to make a loud rattling noise.
Perfect fit for the car. etrailer.com knows their stuff and never disappoints. They also recommend the associated pins for this converter and both worked exactly as expected. I have purchased every hitch, component, part, converter, etc. from them since about 2005 and used their site as an invaluable reference for installation. They never fail. Love this site.

Ordered a hitch for my mazda3. I already had a hitch mount bike rack I was using on another vehicle but needed an adapter to use in the new rack. Ordered the rack and adapter. Within an hour I get an email and phone call from Michelle saying I ordered an adapter that would not work with the hitch I got. She said she would correct the order and get the correct parts out immediately. Within a few days I had the hitch and correct adapter delivered to my house. Works well for my bike rack on a small car. My bike rack is made for the 2" receiver on my RV. This way, I only have to have one bike rack that works for 2 vehicles
Over the years I have been very happy withmy purchases from etrailer in general. This little adapter is another good purchase. I bought this one over the other offered because the finish is better. I believe the quality welding and smooth finish will help keep the corrosion at bay for a bit longer and it looks nicer. Excellent tool for conversion. It also adds clearance between the end of the receiver and my bumper, a requirement for my car and bike rack.

We received our hitch very quickly. Unfortunately it didn't fit. We've been going thru trying to get a return sticker since last Tuesday...and this is Saturday. We've called them 6 times. The last 3 were not returned.
We are not happy campers.
