The collar automatically aligns the hitch pin holes on your favorite 1-1/4" accessory and a 1-1/4" trailer hitch receiver every time you install it. It prevents you from having to bend down or stick your finger into the hole to check for alignment. It also eases the burden of installing a heavy accessory, like a cargo carrier, that's hard to wiggle forward or back in small increments.
The stop collar easily installs on most 1-1/4" accessories and once installed, it doesn't have to be adjusted - set it and forget it. To install, just slide the collar onto the accessory's 1-1/4" shank, insert the shank into your hitch, align the pin holes, slide the collar up against your hitch, and tighten down both hand knobs. If there are any impediments simply unscrew the knobs, split the collar into 2 pieces, and put it back together past the point of impediment.

I love the simplicity of this design. It's easy to use and has saved me from countless times of bike rack mounting frustration in finding that sweet spot where your threaded bolt lines up just right in the hitch pin hole. I love it!

metal was slightly bent which cause one of the screws to be cross threaded and totally jammed. I could not budge it. You all generously gave me a full refund without having to ship it back, but I will not have the collar for a trip I am leaving on this weekend that I needed it for.
Installation instructions were great. Especially the use of clamps to hold he bumper in place when removing the four bolts to mount the hitch bar.
Works great. Just installed on my new hitch extender to the new hitch on new car. Easy to install

You could look at this product and think that it’s not necessary. For me, it’s amazing! I use it on my bike rack so I don’t push it in too far and scratch up the bumper on my BMW. Perfect depth every time. Not messing around with it!
Helpful little gadget I didn't realize I needed until I ordered one from etrailer. It is soooo much easier now to perfectly place my bike rack without having to double and triple check to see if the holes of the hitch and rack align properly. You only have to do it once, and everything will align perfectly. A godsend!
Just installed the Hitch Pin Alignment and seems to work fine except that it slips out of alignment when installing. When tightening it moves around too much. A suggestion would be to line the interior with a piece of rubber to keep it from slipping and to protect from scratching the hitch. Overall it will save time and frustration with the hitch alignment.

I wish I had known about this product years ago. In the past I really struggled lining up the holes of my bike rack to the holes on my hitch. Push a little, pull a little (and repeat).

Just received the hitch pin collar and so far I like it but have not had it long enough to give it a 5 star cause I did notice that it moves even though I tightened the 2 wing nuts as tight as I can. But it does what I want it to do, lines up everytime with the hole on the hitch

A simple, but well made item that makes the task of installing a bike rack into a hitch an easy and time saving endeavor.
Sure, you could use electrical tape to mark the rack depth, but this lets you place the rack in the hitch without worrying about insertion depth. For the price I am very happy with the build quality.
Hoping that this makes our install of our bike trailer easy each time. Haven’t tried it yet, but looks like it will work well.

The wing nuts on the alignment collar are 2 big. They come in contact with the receiver on the truck when you turn to tighten them.
While the product itself was excellent, the instructions were on the ambiguous side. Forget the instructions, and just watch the video to Hook Up----Suby's are so easy!!
Pretty simple little gadget but a big help when mounting the bike rack.
Doesn’t fit flush on my bike rack(it’s not the shank). It’s a bit wobbly but should work okay.

Does the job exactly as expected. It's not stainless, so I was expecting everything to happen that usually happens to steel.

This item is meant to simply align the holes of the accessory you use most often, to the hitch receiver holes, so you do not have to adjust each time you put on the accessory.

After all this time, its still working great. Hasnt rusted or anything. Ive never had to adjust it once after it was first installed. Made this one little task in life much easier for sure.
