The QSP trailer hitch silencer is the perfect accessory for your 2" x 2" Draw-Tite hitch. It enhances your towing experience by helping to reduce the free play that exists between your trailer hitch receiver and your ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory. By adding the QSP to your setup, you can stabilize your hitch-mounted accessory as it sits in the receiver to eliminate noisy rattle, jarring, vibrations, and sway that might otherwise cause damage to your hitch or equipment.
Installing the QSP silencer and cover is easy. Slide the QSP bracket over the collar of your hitch receiver. Then attach the cover to the bracket with the included hinge pin.
To use the QSP, open the cover and raise the lever. Then insert your accessory or towing equipment into your hitch receiver and secure it with a pin and clip (sold separately). Finally, lower the lever to tighten the QSP around your receiver and the shank of your accessory or towing equipment.
When you're not using your receiver, the attached cover helps to keep out grime and works to deter rust. This hinged cover proudly displays the well-known Draw-Tite name on the back of your vehicle. Magnets in the cover and on the bracket help to keep the cover closed.

The website was very user friendly, the pricing was very fair and reasonable and the delivery was extremely swift. I’m new to towing but not to online purchasing. etrailer is a great company to conduct business with and I KNOW I’ll be back again. Go! Buy from them now!!!
Great anti vibration and cover for a 2" hitch. The only downside that it does make alignment harder when inserting the hitch attachments.
I bought the trailer hitch for a bike rack and the hitch silencer to stop the rattle of my rack. I added the wiring harness mainly because it was so simple to install and I might need it in the future. In a nut shell, you had every thing I needed at a fair price and excellent quality. My order was shipped and delivered quickly. The videos on you website are the really the icing on the cake. This was not my first purchase from etrailer and I will always look at your website first when I need something for my vehicles.
I like the way it looks, and it is an extremely noticeable difference in the reduction of rattling and noise. I see what others have said about the magnets being weak, but as I normally have a drawbar or other accessory inserted into the receiver, I doubt it would bother me if that were to fail. It was very easily installed, the hardest part was inserting the plastic hinge pin and getting everything to line up properly without being to see from the top (the receiver end is under the bumper). I would buy this again and/or recommend it to others looking for an inexpensive yet stylish solution.
Have used this product with both bike rack and trailers. It helps insure a tight connection. Plus the cover helps keep the inside of the receiver clean.
This product DOES NOT WORK ON ALL 2" HITCH RECEIVERS I'm usually a careful buyer, reading in detail the info provided by the manufacturer/distributor. But this one I missed, twice actually. I purchased a Curt 2" hitch from etrailer, one for my 2011 Honda Pilot and another for my 2016 Subaru Forester, both of these will not accept the Draw-Tite hitch cover product efficiently. You can get it on with some struggle, but it is also a struggle to put the receiver into it, which is very frustrating. I called etrailer, talked to a Customer Service person who told me that this Draw-Tite silencer/cover is made to fit the Draw-Tite trailer hitch, so I am out some money with trying to use this product, not a good experience.
I purchased Item #76128 Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver and Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover Item #63080 which will be used primarily for a Yakima hitch mount bike rack on our 2017 CRV AWD Touring. The hitch and cover were well packaged and arrived in great shape. Your website, including product descriptions, videos and installation instructions were excellent and gave me the confidence that the installation would go smoothly. I was able to install the hitch receiver by myself. After lowering and securely suspending the CRV exhaust assembly I placed the hitch mounting brackets on top of the mufflers while putting a strap through the back of the hitch receiver and the CRV to hook. I was then able to use a jack to raise the hitch into place and loosely secure the bolts on the passenger side. The opposite side was a breeze. The hardest part was tightening/torqueing the bolts on the passenger side due to the cramped quarters. Your fish wires are genius! The Draw-Tite Hitch cover & silencer was very easy to install and gives the hitch a very clean appearance.
It did a great job (until my granddaughter backed into a tree and broke it). Not only does it keep the hitch from rattling it keeps the dirt and mud out. My neighbor was complaining about her trailer making so much noise so I recommended this to her. Only problem I have is that it will only fit factory installed hitches. My old F150 has a non-factory hitch and the silencer will not fit because the metal around the mouth of the receiver is too thick.
Build and construction was great but ended up throwing the product out. Bought 3 for my vehicles and ended up tossing all 3. After being closed for a while, the thick rubber gasket is tight and overlays the hitch opening a bit. Was not able to insert my hitches at all. Had to take the product apart to get my hitch in. Looking for other anti-rattle solutions.
I use this item as a paper weight, as it is absolutely worthless. It never fit,and I received a second one, after sending pictures of how,and why,it didn't fit. And, I bought my hitch from etrailer, along with the lights, wiring harness, and several other items. All without any problems at all.
Hard to get the ball hitch in and out, but that is why it has cut down on the rattling. It also has seemed to make the whole set up a little more snug and secure. I would recommend this to any of my friends with receiver hitches.
Fills the hitch opening and looks pretty cool. If there was a criticism, it would be that the hinge pin to let you open it to the left for hitch insertion, should probably be from the top down instead of the bottom up--thinking gravity?
I installed as directed. Works perfectly. Flip up the lever- move the unit to the left slightly- install hitch and clamp it down. Great product fo the money.
I gave it four stars only because it doesn't fit with the etrailer hitch. It flops around loose, and even when you tighten it it's very sloppy. If you have a draw tite hitch you would be well pleased. It is well thought out and nothing to installing it. etrailer has always been a ten plus as far as I'm concerned, and just ordered a roof basket and crossbars which should arrive tommorrow.
meh - it wobbles (a lot) on the hitch without anything in the receiver... doesn't seem very sturdy. I'd be pretty surprised if it makes our cross country trek with the cargo basket installed. In hindsight, I'd been more happy with a simple plastic insert cover.
Installed today on my Curt receiver hitch (2016 Chevy Colorado) and was a little concerned as it doesn't 'SLIDE' over from passenger side, since the hitch collar is pretty big. I tapped on it w/ a soft blow hammer and it went about 1/2" or so before I worried about breaking it as it's cast aluminum. I took it off and noticed the inside sliding part is actually rubber so it wont rattle and was glad to see there would be some give as I continued w/ the install. I lubed up the rubber w/ some gel wax and tapped it all the way on and installed the cover. All fits nicely w/ obviously NO movement/motion. Channels line up and should work perfectly for my motorcycle carrier, bicycle carrier and ball hitch. GREAT price too since I got it on sale. Thanks
This product did nothing to stop hitch clank. It fits over the receiver with a rubber collar you insert the hitch through however, the draw tight lever does nothing to prevent hitch to reciever play. Still allows side to side and up ad down play. Over priced receiver cover is what it amounts to.
First time I purchased an item like this. Works very good at keeping the noise from the hitch assembly to a minimum. Keeps the receiver clean and is easy to use.
Firstly let me thank you for your service. It is Par Excellence! It is courteous, accommodating and immediate. I have now ordered and received five items from you, including the 2" hitch, the Thule bike rack and a bunch of smaller items like the Draw-Tite - all of which are of great quality. I will no doubt be watching for all future communications from you regarding new products. Once again, many thanks for your wonderful service and products.
These do not fit either of my OEM hitches. I tried to return them for a refund, but had waited too long to try to install them. Even though they were still brand new in the packaging, etrailer would not refund because it had passed their 90 return policy. I guess I understand the position, but still feel I've been burnt.
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory hitch receiver (I believe it was OEM) This Draw-Tite Hitch Silencer does not work at all on this hitch receiver. It installs fine, and is made well, but is loose even without a load. Maybe it works better on a Draw-Tite hitch.
I have Ram 3500 and Jeep gladiator with factory tow packages and this hitch silencer does not fit either. Plastic and an alloy cam to tension hitch, designed to fail.
Unable to use as the space between the hitch box and the rear bumper of my motorhome was too close to allow for installation.
Works fine provided your hitch pin is 5/8" diameter. My Allen bike rack, which is the reason I bought this, uses a 1/2" diameter pin. It works but not as well as i had hoped. On other hitches it works great.
QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover for 2" Hitch Receivers looks good keeping the dirt and salt out of the receiver. I will not be able to try the "silencer" function until spring brings tarveling.
